on 5/12/16I would highly recommend going somewhere else. The final project they delivered to me was unfinished and looked like it was completed by someone with no resume writing background. They did not offer good support when I expressed my dissatisfaction and I ended up with a resume I couldn't use.
It's an absolute waste of money. As a C-level executive, I've seen countless high-quality resumes. (I hired this service because I was pressed for time.) The result was amateurish and unprofessional. Despite paying for the top-tier service, I threw the whole thing in the trash. Don't waste your money or time.
I have to restate my original opinion. Sorry. I found them to be unprofessional. The resume looked confusing and not really trimmed for administrative secretarial work. The cover letter was wordy with run on sentence. The resume had a typo in it. I asked for a refund, but did not get a response. If you pay by credit card, they will give your money back.
I went online to Rip off Report and found the same criticisms. A lot of the writers are foreigners with little understanding of what they are doing.

It does not work. I didn't get a single call back from the resume they wrote for me. Meanwhile, I used a resume I created to apply for a number of jobs while they were working on it. I heard back from a few people using my resume and 0 from theirs.
I would just advise you to have a co-worker or friend review your resume. It is not at all worth the money.
Definitely NOT. They rewrite mine and all they did was reformat it with the same thing I had. I told them I wasn't happy so they added "key words" that targeted someone who was interested in a sales job. I hate sales and have no interest in it. Spend the money on a book and write it yourself.
I would say safe your money. My resume before was rewrite by TopResume converted more interviews than what they have made. Suggestion would be using jobscan.co to get an idea how your resume would compare to the job description advert. From there you could rewrite your resume targeting keywords that are missing in your resume.
Don't do it. I got the most expensive package. It was beyond horrible! My nephew in high school could have done better. I don't think English a strong language for them either. All they did was restructure what I had using my original wording & the layout was a mess. There were even typos. Save your money and go else where!
I paid for the mid tier rewrite.
I was very impressed with the finished product. A friend of mine paid for the bottom tier rewrite... He basically threw his away and used my rewrite.
As for catching the eye of employers, I think my résumé definitely is eye catching now. I've had a couple very good offers that I turned down for personal reasons.
I received the resume, It was full of flamboyant words. The only part that made any since was what they copied from my current resume. I let other people in my field look at my resume and the one topresume prepared, they all agreed that the resume topresume prepared looked fake, lies. I am a blue collar worker. My opinion how can some one that does not know the trade that you work in write a resume. I asked for a full refund they said no. The only company I have ever done business with that will not give you a refund is your not happy with there work. Stay away from these people
I think the content they have for free is really helpful, but then you have to put in the work. When I signed up for their service however, I spent so much time trying to detail what I actually did that it probably would have been faster to do it myself.
I will say though, if you're stuck, need a starting point, and don't mind spending the money, it's a good way to make yourself take the first step and actually get your resume in order.
My only other advice is that if you do use their paid for service, make sure you very carefully proof read. I found a lot of spelling and grammatical errors... It almost seemed like the person writing it was ESL.
They were very nice to work with, especially my resume writer. However, I wasn't happy with the results. I had to rewrite their rewrite. They included a line about how I was good with "life hacks." I didn't think the use of the word "hacks" gave a favorable impression, and after consulting with several HR experts, they all agreed. There were also several typos and grammar issues. The resume got me no positive results. All in all, it was a waste of money.
Hi
I highly reccommend that you utilize top resume. I started submitting my resume immediately after it was completed to companies that I was intimidated in the past to apply to. I landed two dream job interviews and accepted one of the positions. I love my resume and cover letter and I am glad I made the investment.
I think it greatly depends on which writer you are assigned to and how well you communicate with them about your needs and any concerns for revision. My original resume was not bad, but it did not stand out and I was having a difficult time finding the language to make a more powerful first impression. Since the "quality" of a resume is highly subjective and each of their staff writers may have different skill levels, you are taking a bit of a chance... but in my own experience, it was well worth it and I am happy with the results (and they promptly returned each revision within the time frame they promised.)
They did a fantastic job with my resume! Your resume is supposed to sell you, brag about you. I just couldn't put the right words on paper. They asked me a ton of questions and we emailed back in forth for about a week before I got my first draft back. They took my ordinary resume and made me a rock star.
It's a bit pricey but, for me, it was worth it. They will do a few drafts for you and you get it back in a word doc so you can always edit or add info later.
I found it to be very helpful. The person I worked with was open to my feedback and edits. It wasn't a template resume and I truly like the new format. It did increase my interview traffic and I landed a job 3 weeks after switching to the new format. My sister than used the service and loved the format they provided her for her the industry she was applying for. Her interview traffic has also increased significantly. Hope this helps.
My views are slightly different. These are resume writing services and definitely not any magic wand. So getting an interview call depends on a lot many other factors as well. What we should ensure that your resume should not get filtered through some software used by the employer. The filter does not work as per the format but considers the containt of the resume and usually some customization is required while applying for a specific job so that profile specific key words are captured. The point is the ownership of the job search lies with the applicant and resume is a one of the important tool. Whenever dealing with any service provider, the output largely depends on your own involvement. Many of the times you need to drive the process and get the desired result.
Now on Top Resume, I am fairly satisfied with their services but what I impressed me was their professional approach in handling customer queries. There was a delay in the delivery from their sidefor that I received a property apology in advance and also one additional Thank You letter as a complementary gift.
I got my first job in a brand new country within 30 days from availing their services. As mentioned earlier, getting a job is a result of a lot many other factors. Cheers.
Yes, I found Top Resume to be very helpful. My resume had not been updated in nine years. Top Resume reviewed my resume and provided recommendations that made a lot of sense. For example, my resume listed tasks rather than accomplishments. The Top Resume professional completed revisions and followed up at the times she promised. She also rewrote the majority of the tasks which I had previously listed and described them as impressive accomplishments. She even took the projects that I managed for a past employer and described them perfectly. After Top Resume made revisions to my resume, I also received feedback from a representative of the Ohio Means Job program. She suggested that I delete the reference to my 25 years' experience as an Executive Assistant and to delete the descriptions about past employers. I made these recommended revisions myself. I think one thing to realize is that it is best to get feedback about your resume from several sources. Top Resume is an excellent start, but it may be worthwhile to have a recruiter also give you feedback about your resume.
They did a good job for me. I came out with a resume that was much more professional looking and polished. The significant changes for me were in the formatting of my resume. I already had the content written pretty well, but they modified sentences and structure to express my previous experiences better.
From reading the mixed reviews on here, your experience may vary based on the the writer that you get, so it might be worth it to go with the upper tier service that they offer. I'm glad I got I my resume reworked with Topresume.
Yes this rewrite was creative and succinctly explicit in a professional sense that has worked very well for me. I highly recommend. The cost is a little stiff but when you're stressed about presenting yourself to get a result then this is a good way to go as you are allowing another set of eyes to objectively put your interests first.
I found Topresume to be very helpful. They were great and my new resume got me a lot of interviews. I landed a good job and a believe it had a lot to do with the way my resume was written. They worked with me not just writing a resume from a template. I thought it as worth the money.
