The overall experience is prime as a driver. The GPS could be better. I want to change from bicycle to scooter class due to prop 22, but won't allow me too. Do not order from Uber! There are so many different third party delivery services that are way better with great customer service. I work at a fast food place, and get a lot of complaints when it comes to Uber because their customer service is trash! Orders are delivered to wrong addresses or delivery drivers steal food and Uber says "sorry not eligible for refund". I actually placed an order two days ago and my food was delivered to the wrong address, when I finally got a message back for them, they told me those exact words. I finally got to see what customers were talking about. When I asked why, they refused to give me an explanation. They are stealing money and then try to blame the drivers or the stores. Terrible delivery service! Wish I can give them 0 stars!

I am warning everyone to avoid Uber Eats. It is full of false promotions. They let businesses like Fresh Slice, etc fool people by ads like buy one, get the second one for free. And when you realize that's been a scam and cancel in less than 2-5 minutes, they charge you almost the full amount. Not reliable at all. Call the restaurant if it has delivery, otherwise, do not order. I was so embarrassed in front of a group of students the other day.

Legitimate thieves. My last few orders through Uber eats I had received completely different items from what I had ordered and informed that it's not eligible for a refund. On a grocery order, I was missing three items and it was an add-on order meaning a $0 delivery and service fee. However, they still charged me for the missing items and an additional $22 in service and delivery fees. Even after presenting the receipt from the driver and the screenshot on their app of my total with zero fees, they continued with this not eligible for a refund nonsense. I've disputed every transaction from which they have committed legitimate theft. Dealing with their help support line is like talking to wallpaper with automated responses and Bot tech support. We need to rise up and put a stop to this trash company and stop this ridiculous theft

I logged in to my account and for some reason it registered a different address then my home. This was a $200 order. I immediately called the company and cancelled with uber within 3 minutes of ordering. I called the restaurant and they directed me to cancel and reorder with correct address. 2 weeks later, I am reconciling accounts and see they charged me almost $400 that day for the ONE order that I received. I called to resolve with customer service and they say there is nothing they can do. They can clearly see the order was cancelled immediately. They could verify with Sonnys that they did not make both orders. They could do anything but they did nothing except stole $200 from a loyal customer. Beware. These people are thieves!
PS They don't give your tip directly to drivers, they use it as their hourly wage and compensate if they do not make enough from tips. Talk about a scam. They are using us to pay their labor. Complete crock of $#*!.

This will definitely be the last time I give Uber and business I am extremely un happy with the way they handled my issues. I had half of my food missing the food was cold because it got there way later than it was supposed to and the food I did receive was barely edible. I was told by Uber eats that I was not eligible for a refund. When I order something I expect to get what I paid for not get my money stolen!

The delivery driver went to the wrong address so my food wasn't delivered, Uber eats refusing refund, making me pay for drivers incompetence. Customer service non existent automated generic messages. No matter what the issue Uber eats won't give refund, leaving their customers to pay for their mistakes. It's cruel making someone wait for food that never comes then making you pay for it. I hope Karma comes knocking for Uber eats. Avoid this company if the driver makes a mistake your food won't be delivered but you will still pay for it.

I will never use Uber Eats again. I ordered a pizza that projected an hour longer than other apps and then was 20 minutes late. When I received my food it was stone cold. They said their policy was not to refund because it was cold. Also instead of the driver handing the order to me as documented in the app, they put it on the side of the house where I could not see it. I knew it was delivered because the app said it was. I had to go looking for it.They said their policy was not to refund because it was cold….even though the reason it was cold was their fault. What other responsibility does the food delivery have? So instead of fresh hot pizza it was reheated leftovers.

Ordered food from a restaurant, the restaurant knew they did not have in stock (gluten free crust). The driver arrived to pick up the order and realized it was not Gluten free. The driver called me to ask if regular crust would be ok. It is not, otherwise I would have ordered it that way cause who in their right mind WANTS to order gluten free pizza? Uber eats would only refund me half! I get paying the driver for their time but that should be on the restaurant! Canceled my account and the Chat person named Mikayla did not care one bit.

I will never use Uber Eats again! I tried to order pizza after a long day of traveling and before I could get the address changed, they placed the order in a different state so when I cancelled the order to get them to change the address, they charged me for the full order of the one they placed in the wrong state!
This all happened inside of 5 minutes and they stated that the restaurant had already filled the order which was humanly impossible
You can track their drivers but they can't tell what state you're ordering from?
From my experience, Uber Eats is running a scam and probably rip people off 10's of thousands of dollars a year with this nifty little tactic…
I used Grub Hub after getting burned by Uber Eats and they demonstrated professionalism that is highly unlikely with Uber Eats…

I canceled an order because I used the wrong payment. I called the restaurant and they said to just reorder with the correct payment. I did that and Uber charged me twice, I tried to get the refund even after the restaurant said they would refund it and Uber refused to process the refund. With not other options and no recourse. The restaurant will give me store credit which is awesome but, there was no help from Uber at all. Horrible customer service horrible support. I won't be using Uber Eats again.

I placed a KFC order via Uber Eats App on Saturday, the 2nd of November 2024. I was requested to add my debit card for payment & I did. I had a promotion on the order, price was R182 but only R145,29 was requested. Upon making the payment, the order did not complete. It remained on the cart and the Uber Eats App sent a pop-up message saying I had insufficient funds. From then I sent them an email requesting a refund and they have been sending me all over. Today they came back and said they are sorry they cannot assist me because the order was placed more than 48hours ago and that they thank me for my understanding. Furthermore, they send me a promotional emails advertising their special offers and a 30% discount.
I wish to complain about their insensitivity in handling the matter and do wish to be assisted in recuperating my money.

Bunch of scammers. I ordered food from a restaurant that didnt turn up. When i contacted the restaurant i found that it was a new business and that the restaurant was no longer there. Customer support on Uber Eats refused to cancel the order and then when i was charged refused to refund me. I was a loyal user spending alot of money with uber and now will be taking my account offline and also closing my company accounts too. They do not car about customer service and they are stealing your money.
I cannot believe that you allow a company to accept deliveries that are no longer in business. This has left a truly sour taste in my mouth with a refusal you are willing to lose a customer? Such a shame.
I ordered in good faith to only find out that the restaurant is no longer there and you wont investigate.
This can happen to others i urge you to boycott and uninstall the app.

Someone created a **** account in the USA with my credit card details which is available nowhere except in my wallet. Card not lost. Uber Eats approved the transactions and no way to contact them since I DO NOT HAVE an Uber Eats account. R 2735 was purchased on my credit card. I provided the transaction ID's to Uber Eats and they are not helpful and referring me to my financial institution without checking who ordered on my card with transaction ID's. Useless bunch of ****mers. They got money and they can trace it to where it was delivered to but absolutely useless

Uber Eats is a scam.
The company refuses to provide a refund for missing items from a delivery. The vendor from which I ordered did not have an item in stock, and sent a nite stating that I should request a refund.
Uber Eats refused to do so. This is illegal and forfeits the position of Uber Eats as a legitimate business. They are scammers and crooks.
Edit: I have been refunded by PayPal after disputing the payment with them. PayPal will now pursue the matter with Uber Eats, a process much costlier than simply giving me the refund to which I am legally entitled.

I ordered a pizza
I ordered a pizza. The driver literally stole my pizza and Uber nor I couldn't get in contact with him and Uber Refused to give me my money back. To top it all off, I tempt the driver very well and I've been waiting for either my food or a supervisor to call me for over 3 days. I wouldn't recommend using uber for anything. They have no control over their drivers and half of them are not from even this country that do not even care. My question is, what about if that was my last? $25 that they took from me. What was my kid going to eat? Not right!

I ordered food through UberEats a couple days ago. One of the items was unavailable, and I noticed it was refunded when I got my order. I didn't receive the refund so I called the restaurant today, they told me they'd already refunded Uber, so I'd need to contact Uber directly to get my money back. When I reached out to Uber, they told me that because it has been more than 48 hours since the order was completed, they couldn't process the refund. So now, Uber took $100 for an item I didn't even receive and refuses to refund it. Shame on you UBER, I wish I could give -100 rating. Why is there no phone number for customer service, UBER? Cuz you know what a shammer you are.

I ordered food and was charged after the delivery driver passed my house and didn't deliver my food. I contacted the driver and he even confessed that he didn't have my food because the restaurant didn't have it ready but drove by in order to get paid for the delivery.
I reached out to uber but they were not allowing me to reach out for help, the website said that the charge had not gone through. So I was under the assumption that it was canceled. Then I checked my bank statement and the charge had gone through. So I reached out again and I was denied a refund because it was passed 48 hours. So uber got paid, the restaurant got paid, the driver got paid, and I was basically robbed.

So you pick a restaurant and it gives you an estimated time, then you pay in the time doubles, But after that doubles again. I think best of all is after it was over the app lied about what time it was delivered by almost 20 minutes. Just a great company from top to bottom. Liars. Yeah, these poor drivers out here behind on the second they get the order. It's all corporate. Liars. You're a joke of a company. I hope you respond to this with some corporate platitudes. Driver lied to me and told me he was not given all of my order. I called the restaurant, a place I often order from, and the manager told me that the driver was "in a hurry and did not wait for the rest of the order". The driver took the tip money, however. UberEats simply offered 'Uber Cash' as a sorry recompense. No thank you! Never again will I use UberEats!

Getting rid of the "add cooking notes" option is a $#*! show at it's finest. The pizza place I usually order from sometimes go $#*!ing berserk on the cheese and I'm unable to eat that much dairy in one sitting (it's not really the restaurant's fault to be fair). It's either that, or no cheese at all. Some restaraunts don't even allow you to remove toppings (I mean what if you're allergic).

I work from home and don't always have time to cook or run out for food so this is immensely convenient for me, to pick up the phone and have home cooked meals from restraurants I like delivered to my door. Yes, a few times I could have complained about a driver being late or rude or what have you, but on the whole the service is invaluable to me.
