I decided after retirement to take up woodworking to build furniture and other wooden things. Upon visiting my local Woodcraft store, I quickly discovered a store that could provide me with everything I could need to pursue this hobby. Not only does this store carry every tool or machine you might need, it also carries accessories, project plans, wood, and classes that are conducted in house using the tools needed to accomplish the project. Even if you simply are fascinated by tools, it is a great store to visit. The staff are all woodworkers so you can draw from their knowledge and advice.
Ordered a router table off of Amazon from this company. It only had 4 reviews on Amazon, and only one had any text. It just said someone bought one for their son and he loved it. Was leary but the picture looked good and and figured I'd take a chance. Bad idea. Right out of the box, terrible instructions. Pictures helped, but only because I know what I'm doing. Someone less handy would be in trouble. Then there's the product. 100% particle board, cheap MDF. The stuff split while putting the screws into the pre drilled holes. And I was using a screwdriver not a power tool. For a hundred dollars less I could have got a name brand that was better quality. And I'm convinced after reading a previous review that the only positive ones are from company imposters.

Ordered an adaptor, was sent wrong adaptor. WC tried to charge me a re-stocking fee (!) and this has been dragging on for over 3 weeks, still not resolved, after multiple e-mails and phone calls. If you can get product anywhere else, do it there. Don't give Woodcraft your business.
Bought woodcraft berry today.
The wicks keep going out no crackle as the wax is so far up the wick. Don't know what the wick is made of as no information on the label. Meant to be some sort of wood?
Please don't waste your money you will be better off with a tea light…….
Avoid classes with Rod Montgomery. It's not a woodworking class, it's a political rally complete with his wife trying to hand students pamphlets about Jesus. Seriously. I cannot believe a woodworking class was this inappropriate on this many levels. I left after Rod made a crack about the "right side of the border wall", then went into defensive mode when I told him and his wife they were acting inappropriately. Woodcraft's owner needs to make sure classes are focused on what people are paying to learn. No one is paying to hear some aging Marine's bigoted world views or get converted by the tag-along helpmeet Mrs.

Only after receiving an incomplete order and calling customer service
Was I informed that the rest of my order is on back-order and would
Probably ship about a month later. Customer services was completely unhelpful. I will never do business with this company again.
July 31,2020 I placed an order for a Ricon Rip Fence. Web Site indicated In Stock when I placed the order. Later I received an email indicating it was on back order and expected to be delivered the following month. Here we are on January 19,2022 and I'm still getting emails indicating item is on back order and should be delivered next month. Let's see if they can deliver before two years has elapsed. I believe this item has been discontinued and Woodcraft does not want to refund money even if they never deliver the item. I now do my online and in store purchases at Rockler.
Tip for consumers:
Look elsewhere unless you can walk into their store and physically carry out what you need. Don't order online, don't believe them if they say it is in stock.

Paid $13.99 shipping at Woodcraft online for a box of useless Baltic birch plywood for scrolling...
Warped, horrible finishes on both sides and even sanding pigtails on the veneer. They will take it back but you have to pay another $13.99. I have $50 invested in a box of plywood that's good for firewood. The retail store wouldn't take it back either... NEVER again! PS Customer service at both places was rude!
The edges of their so called Baltic birch plywood should NOT have these voids!

I got a Christmas gift card three years ago for $75. I went to buy something this past week and it did not work. After several phone calls to customer service, they said the card was used TEN years ago. I asked, how is that possible when I only uncovered the four digit pin number this past week. They stuck to their story of the card being used ten years ago. Safe to say, you should never do business with WOODCRAFT.com. I am out the $75!
Today was my first visit to their Harrisburg Pa store.
Was greeted at the door, the niceties stopped there. Was never asked if i needed help as I wandered around.
Found what I needed but as I was looking at some other items an employee escorted another customer to the same area.
I was almost pushed out of the way so they could look at something. Kinda said excuse me but I had to move or get run down. I wasn't done but went to check out the clerk was talking with another employee.
I had to wait until they were done never acknowledged me finished up offering a bag. Have a good one was mumbled.
Not sure if it's because of how I look or being female but my money is as good as anyone else.
I prefer to use local businesses but may have to go back to online.
Waited for 10 days for a simple pattern for grandkids sled called to ask about the delay she hung up on me how flipping rude must be all the inbreeding in West Virginia will never use these people again. Avoid this company at all costs.
Most unprofessional online businesses I've ever dealt with. I called in the order and was assured I would receive tools I needed within a week. I used 2 day air to guarantee this as well. Got a call back a day later because they wanted to confirm I actually ordered because that's their policy... ok. 5 days later- when package should be arriving I get confirmation package will ship. So much for gaurantees. Shop somewhere else.
I ordered one item on November 29th and as of today, 12/14 it still hasn't shipped. No emails from the company or replies to my contact attempt. Finally called a 1-800 number and was told I won't receive it by Christmas even though it was guaranteed to ship within 5-7 business days. Will not do business with this company again.
I purchased a lathe. Was told shipping to Big Island three times. Took time off of work costing me big time. Woodcraft cared less. I received three different stories about the lathe. I lost 350$ in pay because they failed to deliver. I feel thankful for Amazon.
Bought A needed tool from them because they said they could get it to me the quickest. Order missed three dates and part of order is now backordered and won't be received for at least a month after original delivery date. I unfortunately don't have the option of delaying my customers for a month. Will never buy from them again, how can you buy from a company and then have no idea when items will actually arrive.
Ordered some purple heart blanks, were on sale for good price, website said in stock, after order complete, received email saying on back order, after 10 days, order canceled. Wasted my time, didn't offer discount, or substitution.
Bad experience with an internet order from Island Woodcraft. First Doug shipped the wrong item, then was unable to deliver the correct item for three months, then refused to give me a refund after I declined to pay an increased price. I felt that I bent over backwards to do business with a local company, and when he couldn't deliver I was met with a cascade of excuses. The best was that he couldn't give me a refund "since the Paypal time limit had expired", which of course was due to him shipping me the wrong item, and the shipping delay on the correct item from his supplier! Doug later changed that to 'our policy is no refunds, store credit only", then he tried to blame me for ordering the wrong item. Although this was a small $$$ transaction, I found it very disappointing that Doug was more concerned about the money than about keeping the customer happy. I would not recommend doing business with Doug under any circumstances.
Tip for consumers:
Buy elsewhere! Service is inadequate if you have any issues, and the prices are cheaper buying from the US, even with shipping to Canada. Think twice before ordering from these people.
MB Woodcraft did some joinery work for us a few years ago and we were more then delighted with the results so when we decided to have new windows we looked no further than MB Woodcraft.
The work has now been completed exactly to the specification we required, the quality of product and the workmanship is second to none and we are totally satisfied. Thank you once again Mariusz for another superb job.

I recently bought my uncle a gift certificate from Woodcraft--he loves woodworking but already owns hundreds of wood gadgets (ie, I couldn't possibly pick out a specific present for him). Woodcraft has a good selection of woodworking tools and wood, as well as reasonable prices and physical stores (in addition to the website) so the gift certificate worked out to be a good present. The only ding I give them is that after I ordered I was inundated with email deals from them. Otherwise, definitely recommended.
My wife purchased a SuperMax sander from WoodCraft as a Christmas gift for me. It was their only one in stock, they wrote Sold, all over the box and stored it in the back room. I found out while doing the bills and was excited, went to pick it up the next day... they sold it to someone else! This was no longer theirs to sell once my wife made the purchase. They didn't even offer to have one delivered to my home, nothing, just wait until we get another! I got my money back and ran out to Rockler's and they had it and were shocked WoodCraft would sell what belonged to someone else! Me too! Will never go back, they lost a regular customer.
Things that were posted as in stock was indeed out of stock and no communication to the customer. A call to the customer service connected me to a nasty racist who told me I should learn English or return to my country. Avoid this company.

My order is way over due. Contact with their customer service is non-existent. The only response is from UPS but I don't want to talk to them. No one gets back to me. Don't know what to do except flag this with the BBB/IRS and hopefully get something back from a tax write off on the loss. I thought their one store here in Hawaii was bad...
On my last order, I specified that my order, two reamers, be sent via USPS. They would fit in a 4x6 padded envelope and cost less than $3. Also, 1st class mail would get to me faster than UPS Innovations. Instead, they put them in a box 16x4x4 and sent it UPS Innovations. I have bought several items online, that I have no complaint about. I will continue to buy at the Woodcraft store 40 miles from where I live. All employees and the owner are veterans, materials and service are excellent. I can have them order from the company, if the item isn't in, and pick it up in 2 days. I only pay sales tax and get to visit with friends, my fellow vets.
Communications were not good, but they did come through and get it delivered before Christmas. Bumping them up to a 4 as it is the busy Christmas season.
I wish I'd read the reviews prior to ordering. Same experience as others. Immediately charged my credit card. Got email thanking me for order and provided link to check order. Link produces error message, After week called. Got run around. Not in stock. To be shipped from manufacturer, but no information on when. Supposed to be Christmas present ordered 2 weeks in advance. Now less than week out with no information on status. Ordered 3 other presents on the same day as this one. Others have all been delivered,
Great store! It is like Christmas when I go there! They carry a great selection, and also have frequent training classes. Good prices and frequent sales. When I get their sale brochure, I often find one or two items I need/ want, and then I go to the store and leave with many more items.
Love the place, but need to limit my visits...
