Based upon observations, you have to be invited after you have reached a "stable" level. I don't know if this is based 1) total number of students 2) total number of concurrent students 3) their finding out that I tutored online using other than WyzAnt tools 4) total number of hours 5) length w/WyzAnt
At the time I was invited I had
1) 20 total students
2) 6 repeating students
3) used skype to tutor online local WyzAnt student
4) 100+ hours
5) more than 1 year
Hi Herb, I am a WyzAnt Tutor and just received an email regarding an invitation to join the WyzAnt online community. Please contact WyzAnt Customer service for more information. I hope this information is helpful. D. W., Houston, Texas
Hi Herb, I have no idea how to become an Online tutor with WyzAnt as we used their service to seek out a tutor. But as a side piece of advice, I strongly recommend you find an alternative to WyzAnt as a tutor. Have you read the negative reviews posted by tutors using WyzAnt. Man! They're quite cross! Good luck in your future endeavors online as a tutor.
Herb,
I'm not sure. They invited me to become one, and I believe it was because I had successfully given several Face Time lessons to my students in cases of bad winter weather. There is a written statement that parents or students must agree to each time per WyzAnt policy if you do that. Perhaps the online tutoring would benefit us both? I jumped at the chance!
Perhaps you could call WyzAnt and ask them about it?
