Bought a replacement rear window from this company and was very impressed with the service I received. From their phone operators, who were extremely helpful, to the speed the part was delivered could not have been better. The way the glass was packaged was remarkable. Mr W Duthie Dundee Scotland
I called Orange Auto Salvage from Christchurch NZ re their response to my request for an Alternator put out by 1st Choice. The 1st contact with their Employee C, was very positive. He agreed to check their stock & for me to call back. I wasted 3 days, 4 long distance calls & 6 text messages to the mobile number C. Gave me. None of which were either answered or responded to. I can only assume C. Blocked my number or refused to pick up. Either way, Orange Auto Salvage promise heaps & deliver zilch! In the end I used Alf Kyme Van Breakers who were brilliant, reliable & honest. Highly recommended! Cosmo j, Chch, NZ

I've used this "lot" a few times now. Not the best experience to say the least! I had an engine that lasted a weekend and about 140 miles, no help from the seller or first choice to resolve the fact that I and my customer were about to be out of pocket. Luckily he understood that with a second hand engine you pay your money and take your chance. However I'd have expected it to last more than a weekend. The seller offered a putrid amount in compensation for the problem that didn't even cover the cost of the injector that their engine ruined when it self destructed! Recently I had a gearbox from another company, the selector fitting was slightly different (not a major problem) however the gearbox code had been purposely defaced and covered in their "tamper proof paint"!) after fitting the box I removed the oil drain plug to drain any residue oil only to find a considerable amount of water came out first! I suspect this was rain water from however long the gearbox had been knocking around in their yard for although I was told it had just been removed from a 84,000 mile running vehicle that they had driven. Take away point here is that they'll let any cowboys supply any old rubbish! Be aware.

Engine arrived on time but with old engine oil and the oil filter full of metal parts. No refund as yet after one month. Best stay away from this lot and save yourself a headache. I tried to email 1st choice with my complaint. Not possible. 2 stars is to generous.

Replacement rear window for a car
Ordered a hard to find part, a rear r/h passenger side window for a 2000 Chrysler Neon R/T. Got a message via 1st Choice and Orange Autosalvage, they had a window and called me later to confirm that it was correct and take payment. £42 delivered. Received the window very well packed a few days later, after cleaning it was like new and the correct part.
Thanks guys.
Before I start No I don't work there or no anyone within these companies.

As a second hand parts virgin, this was for me a daunting task. However, after speaking to Tom after receiving his quote, this was one of the easiest things to buy. Even with an unforeseen problem the service we received was second to none.
Thank you Tom
Avoid at all costs! Total shockers.
Ordered a rear wiper motor for a Subaru Legacy. The order quite clearly stated the model and year of the vehicle. They sent us a rear motor for a 1998-2003 model. Our vehicle is a late 2044 Model.
As our car was in for service our mechanic had to purchase a different model.
We contacted 1st Choice Spares UK expecting to be refunded as the mistake was down to them, only to be treated with total disdain by a very rude chap on the phone. He refused a refund without any valid reason only stating "where do I draw the line". Under Consumer law the product was not suited for the use it was intended. They refused to accept responsibility for their error. Avoid as if THEY send you the wrong part THEY will refuse to refund!
I have an old Audi a6 1997, when my engine finally gave up the ghost. I was about to send the car to car heaven as my searches were fruitless on eBay. My wife used this company, within an hour they had found me the right engine at the right price. I was slightly apprehensive, after reading the reviews but they delivered when they said they would. They even called to check the delivery address, as it was going to garage where my car was towed.
The engine was perfect
Tip for consumers:
Would definitely recommend this company , Very happy with engine. Waited for engine to be fitted before i could write the review. 1 Week later, it is working great !!!

Ordered and paid for part a few days ago with the assurance it would be with me shortly. Get phone call a few days later saying part does not work and will not be sending it. Why advertise it if it does not work. Incompetent!
I ordered a audi a4 gearbox which wasn't the right however I called them an they said they will have the part collected an reimbursed the company is called orange auto Salvage i would use them again in the future
After Derby auto salvage took my card details including the 3digit CVV number and telling me that the part is on the way, it turns out that 3 days later they never had the part in the 1st place.
It now makes me nervous to give my card details out through 1st choice spares as I feel they don't monitor their partners.
For all I know Derby auto salvage could have sold my card details on to fraudsters!
I was interested on a part, the couldn't send a photos. They said I have to give them my bank card number first. How can you buy a car part if they don't give you a option to look at it first. Dougy business. Don't trust them
If anything goes wrong they will weasel out if it and try & make it your fault: "you must have got it from another website" or "we have no record of your purchase sorry". KEEP AWAY FROM THESE CON ARTISTS
I purchased a motor for $1100 and paid $175 to have it shipped to my mechanic. This motor was found on car-part.com and it was rated an "A' and even said "very good". I called and confirmed this with orange auto salvage and they said an Allstate insurance agent was with him when they cranked so I went through with the transaction. They gave me a 90-day guarantee on the motor. Upon receiving the motor and installation as soon as the motor cranked it was knocking. I called them back immediately to let them know and they got very defensive saying "that's impossible" basically calling me a liar. I then reminded them of their 90 day guarantee and they said to ship the motor back and they would send me another one. I did as they requested and spent $300 to have it shipped back only to find out that they would not take it and their reason was damage. I have pictures from the shipping company to prove there is no damage to the motor and its in the same form it was when it was shipped to me. It cost me $1275 for purchase and shipping, $550 to have it installed, $300 to have it shipped back and I have not received what it cost for them to take the motor back out. This is very unprofessional. All I ask is that they hold up to their word.
Complete time waste… you get a quote then get told the part is sold.specifically orange auto salvage the guy was unprofessional with an emoji
Today I followed up a Used Alternator quote sent via 1st CHOICE - The company were located in Birmingham & I went through the process of ordering & paying for the part; Including delivery & vat it came to £84.5-10 minutes after I received a phone call from the female phone operator " Your payment declined " - " Excuse me but my online account is clearly showing £84 has been taken" "Well your payment declined so we can't send the Alternator" - I then spent half an hour on the phone to my bank being grilled via varied security questions, only for them to confirm " YES the payment to the breakers went through" - I now have to fill out a form & wait 24 hours to be refunded - it's Friday tommorow & probably won't be resolved UNTILL Monday. I now have to find another used Alternator source & part will not be here in time for Wes morning Garage Appointment. Fuming to be honest & such an aggravation & waste of time. Out of principle now, I will not be sourcing anything from 1st Choice again - Muppet Operation
Tip for consumers:
That using this service would be so aggravating & a waste of my time.

Ordered a gear link cable:
On Fri 25th March 2022
Estimated delivery 2 working days
---------
Called Following Wednesday 30th after it still hadn't arrived in 5 days
A rather surly individual who obviously resented speaking with me informed me that it was on its' way and would be with me.'Thursday mate, Friday at the latest'
That would have been 7 days
It didn't arrive the following Friday
Called Saturday 2nd April
An equally sullen individual informed me that it would be with me Tuesday at the latest.
This would have been 11 days
When I asked where the part was, I was assured that it was in transit.
Didn't arrive on the Tuesday
Called Wed 06th April 2022
Spoke to two people, not quite as surly but obviously not keen at all to be helpful.
Told Fri 9th at the latest --- would be 14 days
Asked them to confirm the address it was going to they gave the house number incorrectly, when I corrected the I got..."Yes that's what I've got, sorry I was looking at something else."... hmmm
Still waiting for delivery but have very little faith.
If they manage to deliver the right part sometime this week or next I'll write another review giving them o 2 stars depending on how long it takes... but the farce I've been party to so far warrants no stars at all, I've only given 1 as it won't let you submit a review with no stars.
They simply don't pay.Took my husband's car about 2 weeks ago and now even not answering on emails. Avoid.
