I've had 21st for a few years. I couple of claims and everything has gone pretty smooth. The only reason im giving them a one star is because of their customer service. It really, really, really sucks. Try calling them over the phone and you will wait a couple of hours. Try the chat and you'll wait there for hours. I recently got my auto policy transfered to toggle, the new 21st branch, and they are just as bad. Looks like they only have one agent working the phones and the chat. This alone is making me consider going with a different insurance provider.
Tip for consumers:
Poor customer service when it comes to availability. Phone and chat wait times are about 2 hours. This is completely rediculous to me.

Over all, the company has given me good service. The insurance is expensive compared to other companies, but you get what you pay for... except when it comes to customer service over the phone. The typical wait time is an hour which i think its ridiculous, what is this a government agency? Im rating this one star because they need to connect you to an agent sooner than that. Insurance is expensive, they make good money, hire more representatives or make cancellation available on the website.
I've had a couple accidents and they are good at responding and taking care of the customer, for that I rate them higher, thats why I insure my car with them.

Please do not get this insurance. They are dishonest. They do not like to pay claims. Adjuster's play games and lie a lot. I went 4 months with out a car because of them. On matter how high you go up there chain you can't get help. Devin freeman is a higher up and he is just playing games too. So don't waste your money on this company. And now he his saying there is no legal department for them to make a complaint. Wow what a company.
Would not recommend this web site or the insurance to anyone. The staff are argumentative and rude. Calls are not returned by staff, claims or Supervisors.
Supposedly calls are recorded but if an issue has to be investigated and 21st.com is in question you can count on the recordings mysteriously not being located and the issue goes unresolved. Saved 21st.com money on a non-fault claim and this went ignored. Changes are made to a policy after the fact and when issues are in question you can count on getting nothing but excuses and they are famous for passing the buck. They charge outrageous prices for their insurance. They are very greedy. They only care about how much money they can get from you.
For over 10 years, I had a 5 vehicle policy with 21st Century. So plenty of experience with them. I'm really happy to be done with them. As a preface, I will point out that I was the perfect customer for an insurance company. Never filed an insurance claim in my life. Never been in an accident. Haven't had a moving violation since 1983. And have never been late on a payment to them or anybody else in my entire life.
So how could I have such a distaste for them? Well I can't count on all my fingers and toes the number of hours I have spent on the phone and at the computer ironing out all of the mistakes they make. And if you think dealing with outsourced customer service reps is a debacle just wait till you have to deal with this company.
The final straw was when they credited a partial 6 month payment back to my credit card with no explanation. When I called them they told me they were canceling my policy. They hadn't even notified me. When I called to ask why, they said they have new underwriting guidelines and my motor home doesn't meet the new guidelines. They told me that I would have to provide proof that I have insured the motorhome with another company or proof that I have sold it before they would reinstate my policy.
I couldn't believe it! And with no notice! I'd had that motorhome insured with them for over a decade and spent well over $20,000 with them and never filed a claim or had an accident or citation and never a late payment.
So here is the final straw, but typical of what you can expect from them. They sent me a bill for a $50 policy cancelation fee.
Do yourself a favor, steer clear of this company. The silver lining to this story is that when I left them my insurance costs were reduced significantly.
