The worst payment gateway ever, Don't work with them, the suddenly blocked my account and they didn't transfer my money not even answering my emails.

Without the invoice tool, 2checkout.com is useless. The only good feature the company had has now been removed. TERRIBLE!

If you get sales, they will ask something from you, and if unable to comply, your money will stuck forever.

Scammers and rogues

Avangate just sucks

They never release payments and will keep delaying it forever.

I'M 70 YEARS OLD AND USE MY COMPUTER FOR EMAILING. AT 4; 00 A.M. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM A COMPANY I'VE NEVER HEARD, FOREIGN MEN INSISTING I BUY SOMETHING TO FACILITATE MY COMPUTER USE. REPEATEDLY I SAID, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOU AND WAS TRANSFERRED TO EVEN LESS INTELLIGIBLE MEN.
IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THAT I DID NOT WANT THE PRODUCT. I HUNG UP THREE TIMES, THREE TIMES THEY CALLED.
I DO NOT DRINK OR TAKE DRUGS BUT HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY ILL, AT 4 AM, I'M SOUND ASLEEP, WHAT KIND OF PRODUCT IS IT THAT USES SUCH DESPERATE TACTICS TO SELL.
TO BE SO WORN DOWN THAT I AGREED TO 29 DOLLAR PACKAGE FOR ANOTHER UNKNOWN JUST TO GET RID THEM IS REPREHENSIBLE.
I DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBER THIS NIGHTMARE
UNTIL MASTERCARD CALLED TO VALIDATE A NEARLY 5OO PURCHASE, ALERTED BY SAME FRAUD FROM OTHER CARD HOLDERS, I SAID NO, TAKE IT OFF IMMEDIATELY, ONLY TO HAVE PAYPAL CALL WITH CHARGES.
WHEN I HAVE 500 DOLLARS, IT GOES TO PAYING MEDICAL BILLS.
IVE NEVER USED IT AS I SEE YOUR MESSAGES FLASHING UP IN THE CORNER AS I WRITE.
PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY. THEN GO PEDDLE YOUR WARES THE HONEST WAY OR AT LEAST DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.

If you want a payment gateway and consider 2Checkout (now Verifone) as an option, Just don't, especially if you want it as an individual. Here's my experience with 2checkout, maybe it will help you or prepare what you should expect from them. You will be surprised by the conclusion.

I have been freelancing through Fiverr and Upwork and decided to have my own website and a payment gateway for it. 2checkout looked good to give a try and here are the documents I submitted:

1. Government-issued ID
2. Birth certificate
3. Utility bill
4. Proof of address
5. Website updates according to their requirements
6. Delivery policy
7. Refund policy
8. Domain ownership
9. Bank statement
10. Fiverr earning statement
11. Screenshots of my canceled orders

After completing all the details in 2 months and going back and forth providing them with too much personal information these were the objections.

1. Your Fiverr earnings don't match with website service charges, I explained Fiverr is for individual services and on the website I have packages.
2. Change the "Get proposal" button to "get a quote"
3. We do not support free services or services under $1.00. Here are the free services which have nothing to do with payment processing: https://bazaljunaid.com/free-services/

In the end, I stopped the process myself because they were asking nonsense questions, and I was fed up.

Conclusion:

If you are an individual and looking for payment processing, don't go for 2checkout instead use direct payment methods like PayPal, Payoneer, or wire transfer. You have to build trust first for sure, but that's the easiest way. 2Checkout (now Verifone) is good for eCommerce stores and membership websites where you don't interact with clients before they buy a product or service but if you send them a proposal before starting the project, You can easily give them the payment method you like.

Bottom line: 2Checkout (now Verifone) is not for individuals, no wonder why they have too many bad reviews.

This is how we have been robbed by 2Checkout in the pretext of global payment:

Transaction ID: **************
Payment done by customer in INR: *******/-
Payment converted in USD: 1150. 65/- (Payment is less, as very high conversion rate is applied which 2CheckOut says this includes hedge charges, third party fees etc. which was never communicated nor disclosed, they write 5.5% + 45c only, it was expected to received approx $1234 USD based on FX conversion INR 61.15 / USD, but charged INR 65/USD)

Reserve Held: 57.54 USD
2CO Fees: 63.74 USD
Adjust: 15.00 USD (At the time of wire transfer, this money was deducted)
Final Payment: 1014. 37 USD

Total Charged: 17.79 % vs of 5.5% + 45c

Do you really think, merchant like us will survive our business paying through 2Checkout?

When contacted customer care: All vague replies and never got the answer. Ticket raised:

4704-WTFN-4113
9005-WAHN-5941

PS: Those who are outside US and want to transact with 2Checkout, think twice before dealing with fraudsters!
