They still in the US not have come as far as the Australia Afterpay platform allowing you to make virtual cards, purchase in all stores and other different merchants but it's getting there just takes time but make sure you check them out.
These guys are just money hungry bustards with absolutely no care factor or loyalty to thier customers what so ever. You cam be a loyal customer for years with perfect payments and when something goes wrong by accident they will.just cut you off for 12months without a care in the world which makes you feel used and unimportant to the company even.though you were probably a customer who helped build the company to where it is today. They don't give a $#*! about thier customers and they don't deserve customers full stop.
I didn't have any trouble with Afterpay when it was run by the original owners and I made several purchases using the site. But it is not the same reliable company after Afterpay was sold. I recently bought a handbag through A/P & paid for the first two instalments with my Visa debit card; bank statement shows both payments went through successfully. Afterpay disputes this & demanded a copy of my bank statements which I've done. This ballsup & the time taken for Afterpay to rectify their error has turned me off ever using them again!

I have been trying to shop with Afterpay. I have been with them for a very long time and have consistently paid early on my account. Now the site is having issues and when I reach out for help they refuse to respond. Have been waiting several days to no avail.

I purchased two separate items. Made 2 payments, then my sign on information didn't work.
I emailed a week before payment for one item was due asking for help, no response. Their email service says not to continually email as it won't help. My second payment came due and I emailed again, still no response. In panic, i email again. They were sure to send me notice saying I was late. I've emailed 3 times now, still no response. I've looked every where for an actual # to call. Nothing. The idea of this service is great, but it only works if both parties are responsive!
So I wait, let them say I need to pay the late fees.

Never get back with you with customer service, then one minute your approved for an amount and then a week later your not approved for no amount for does that work when your making your payments on time! Don't use them!

I've been using after pay for a few months with out any problems. Then out of nowhere they froze my account. When I reach out to see what the problem was they were requesting that I send though email a copy of my license or passport and several bank statements to prove that payments were made. I believe they were trying to collect my information because they would know that all payments have been received on time using they same card. This is how identity theft starts.

Very poor!
Just received a limit increase to $3000, yet any transactions I try to make decline.
I have an excellent repayment history, up to date with all current repayments, and have used only 15% of my current limit.
I have been in contact with the Afterpay team numerous times and have yet to be given an explanation why my account appears to have a purchasing hold placed on it.
Not very professional at all.

If you are planning to refund an item using Afterpay, please think it twice as I have not get the money yet even when the store where I make the purchased authorise the refund.
I complaint about it and after 19 days nothing has been solved yet.
There have been about 4 staff members looking my case and nobody has helped me yet.
I imagine how would be the circumstances if we do not pay on time.

Have gone back and fourth multiple time to these people about a refund of a payment i made. They say it takes 10 working business days for the payment to clear. It has now been over 10 business days and I still haven't received a refund. They have incompetent staff working who don't look into queries properly, just fob you off with excuses. Usually had good experiences using this site, not anymore. No phone number to call either to explain your situation either.

I have never been late on a payment but because I requested a refund on items I purchased that did not fit and was returned. They took my 1,000 limit down to $200 and when ask they said payment history I had them since 2019 never missed a payment or had an issue. They send generated email as a reply instead of researching the account this system is ran by an computer system and non run properly.
I will no longer be using this site and will find another site that has better customer service.

Received and return product upon picking up from door step and now I'm furious because afterpay is telling me to get with merchant and merchant is saying this is an after pay issue! No one is helping and could care less! They are continuing to pull funds for merchandise that I've not had possession for over a week! Worse site ever

I used to have a high buying power! I merely have none now! A creditor made a Mistake on my credit report. It hurt bad! They fixed it! Also, someone was stealing money out of my bank account. I told them and Nicole was nice enough to exclude it like it never happened. I still have limited buying power. I am a good, honest, faithful customer. They should take that into accountability and they DO NOT. I've never been late in over 3 years, but once because someone stole money out of my account! They now suck!

Tried to use after pay on a purchase it had my old mobile number in order to get my forgotten password after pay sends a code the problem is there sending it to the wrong # and after giving them my name email address new mobil number they still can't get it straight! Well its okay will be using another payment method! Good luck if you ever change your mobil number!

If I could leave NO stars I would. I have been an Afterpay customer since 2020 and always had great payment history. Their website states they offer financial hardship support, so I contacted customer service regarding this. I have contacted Afterpay multiple times, and have received the same generic response. They decided to cut off my ability to use the account and EVER apply again due to one order having payment issues beyond my control and eventually paid the balance in full. Mind you, I disclosed the reasons why I had financial hardship (domestic violence and loss of income) but it was all irrelevant as I have received the SAME response from at least three customer service representatives. This company is a joke and could care less if you had great payment history (Over 50 orders total) just don't have any life issues arise that stop you from being able to sort your accounts out. In other words, don't be human.

After a few months and purchases went to 700$ to 900$ from paying off loans. Late a day 3rd payment of 4. Went to see the loan amount since I was done. Now max loan is 50$ like wow. How? I understand if they kept it the same or deduct like 100$ to show late payment reasoning. But 850$ off the loan amount is excessive. Was looking forward to use this thru out Christmas n other things that pop up but will use other apps. Seems like they are less harsh. N would like to keep the clients they have n make them happy. Since they have no " face of the company" just reviews.

It works well until you have a return. I made a return to Lululemon for $106 and Afterpay is not crediting my account. They are holding to my money. It's not event that much. I don't recommend using them. I have been going back and forth with their rep Joyce for days now and she still hasn't credited my account. I don't trust them. I provided a receipt for the refund and still no resolution. Also, why don't they have a number to call? Red flag.

Signed up at their site for an Amazon purchase. Ended up being charged full price for the item. Afterpay has No Customer Service, and does not care about what happens after gathering your financial info. Stay Away!

Can I give less then 1 star! Completely frustrating experience, from setting up the account, verifying email & banking info, thought all good to go. They boldly exclaim amount available to purchase, but then unable to actually purchase! What is most upsetting is trying to get someone to help figure out whats wrong, & if I've done something incorrectly. It has been over 24 hours since I emailed customer service & have only received a confirmation email. Submitted another email under complaint, this confirmation email happily exclaimed I would her from someone in 5 DAYS! Who has time for that. I thought I was being patient waiting 24 hours. I would not recommend, use Klarna instead. I was only using Afterpay because the company I was shopping with does not finance through them.

This company customer service is absolutely awful! It takes days to get into contact with them there is no live person to chat with I do not recommend go to Klarna or zip pay etc I got into some financial trouble during Covid it took a lil longer to pay off my balance there is no one to talk to about repayment or anything they just block your account even tho I paid them every penny back! Smaller online scams have been using the platform to steal funds and because of AfterPay's policy if they do not report a refund or return they will keep your money despite not sending a product.
Customer support form AfterPay is abysmal and there is no phone contact.

Oh well, I've worked hard to improve my credit score and you still won't give me more than 100.00 in credit, so what good are you to me.?
I'm not recommending you to anyone and, am not giving any good reviews for your app. I had one payment 1 time be a day or two late on my 1st payment to u guys because I forgot about it, because it was the very 1st ever pmnt to a co. I had never used before. For that you took all my available credit, over 700.00 from me, and have not given me more than 100.00 since then.
If that's how you treat your customers, I don't need to use your services again.
