Afterpay is an awesome platform designed to help you purchase items by dividing your purchase to (4) equal payments. They have multiple stores they are partnered with to be able to offer you the payment options and gather more every day. They still in the US not have come as far as the Australia Afterpay platform allowing you to make virtual cards, purchase in all stores and other different merchants but it's getting there just takes time but make sure you check them out.
These guys are just money hungry bustards with absolutely no care factor or loyalty to thier customers what so ever. You cam be a loyal customer for years with perfect payments and when something goes wrong by accident they will.just cut you off for 12months without a care in the world which makes you feel used and unimportant to the company even.though you were probably a customer who helped build the company to where it is today. They don't give a $#*! about thier customers and they don't deserve customers full stop.
I've been trying to communicate via email with AfterPay for several days (since there's no phone number) and they act like they don't understand you, it's super difficult to get a logic response from them and I'm still waiting for a refund that they don't have any intentions in return. Everything is good until you have an issue, from then you are in your own. I have experienced really bad customer service in my life but I never thought that dealing with AfterPay was the lowest I could get. Avoid this company. Don't do it, it's not worth it.

I have been going backwards and forwards with Afterpay trying to get my refund. I did an in-store return. I attached receipt and Afterpay still will not refund my money. The associate at Ashley Stewart had me to double click on AfterPay to initiate return/refund. I am still being charged for an item which I do not have. AfterPay is telling me oh it was issued to your card ending 5670. I'm like I don't have a credit card ending numbers. A credit card like display appeared on the Afterpay app.
Once I get these items paid, I will not be using AfterPay no time soon. Their customer service is ridiculous…absolutely horrible. Take my advice "Don't fall for the scam…buy now pay later. They got that right you will pay later. Please steer clear. Use Klarna instead.

If I could leave afterpay a zero rating I would! Beware, they steal your money! You can't call them, you can only email them. After sending numerous emails that's when someone finally calls you. By the way every person I spoke to sounds like a robot. Spoke to 3 representatives. Nothing was resolved! Worse experience ever as a first time afterpay user! Never again will I use them! They suck! Want my advice use your credit card or debit card!

Everything was going well initially. No issues ever with purchase and all payments were paid on time. I attempted to make an in store purchase at Best Buy. Line of credit was showing over 1700 dollars. Afterpay declined my payment at checkout. I contacted support and was informed that they can decline payments as they see fit regardless if I have enough credit available. This is when I realized the line of credit they give you means nothing, is misleading and inflated. Sticking with Klarna.

This product is a joke. Instore card purchase doesn't work half the time. Was late on one payment a few days while on a cruise and had account reduced from $500 to $100 but still charged a hefty late fee.
These grubs are in business to rip of struggling people I think. I had money to pay them and was not even contacted. Can't complain to support without needing to fill out a hardship form. What a disgrace. There are better products out there. Stay away from these crooks.

My card got stolen and the payment was rejected. I have been trying to change the payment method, but cannot login without the stolen card. No support, no response, no telephone number to contact, no way to pay. I will pay the full amount and cancel the account as soon as I manage to contact them in some way.
Absolutely horrible customer support and dangerously irresponsible account management. They probably make more money by forcing accounts into collections!
You're going to suffer unless you, "Stay away from Afterpay!"

Afterpay designs their app so when you click to pay in store you can unintentionally activate an afterpay card where they charge you 9.99 per month. I immediately realised this cancelled it and contacted afterpay, they refused the refund, very dodgy company designs the app so you can easily click 1 button and a random card is activated with ongoing fees, they are scammers

If I could give a score of less than 1 star I would. After having my account hacked from an afterpay text message and then the details of my account changed they were unable to rectify it even though they had my details still. Only having email contact for issues when situations are time poor is absurd. Taking days to respond to emails is ridiculous.

My friends and I accounts were changed all because of 1 late payment that was 2 days late. When she requested to talk to someone. The person was not helpful at all and they truly do not care about anyone. They make up reasons and really not a good payment app to use. They will make you go through all these loops just to get your spending balance up just to take it away from you. Especially after you change you password, weird right. We know! So $#*! AFTERPAY

I have only been a customer a short time. For the short time it's has not been good. I wanted to make a purchase from one of the supposed companies on the website. Opted for the payment plan. And the whole amount was take. I wanted to know why tried to call and acted like they didn't understand.gave all the information they wanted and nothing was ever resolved. I will not deal with company. Also when you want to ask a question. They want your date of birth. And unnecessary information to ask a simple question. That should raise a red flag! Stay away from this company!

I missed one payment and my credit was kicked down to 50 dollars. All of my other payments were paid on time. But that didn't matter so with that being said I made my last payment and closed my account. So if your trying to be a good customer and do your best to make on time payments don't waste your time. Thinking this was the same as Klarna, I signed up for this service.
They turned me down after asking a few questions that were supposed to verify my identity (past addresses, etc)…(they blamed the store as being unable to fill my order). But then withdrew the first payment and are still trying to withdraw from my bank account.
I was forced to cancel my bank card and get a new one. My bank is investigating and I am hoping to get my money back.
Do not be swindled by this scam…use Klarna.

You don't need to use your Gift Card right away! Most Gift Cards have a validity of 12-36 months so you can wait to use your Gift Card.

Horrible experience with this marketplace. Terrible company I have always paid my orders I have had some late some paid early been a customer for all most 2 years again I state they always get paid they took me from 1600 limit to 50 whatever! I signed up with Afterpay about three maybe even more years ago because I received a message from them stating they was offering me a $600 spending limit. That but now pay later prank for most. Well until today I have never been approved for anything. They actually offered $0 limit. Maybe I'm doing the directions wrong I don't know. I gave up came back, forgot remembered checked again. Afterpay you fooled me for way too long. Next time I uninstall the app I won't reinstall anymore. Enough is enough. Getting people attention with the $600 u can never actually access. Ima read some reviews to understand if anyone in the world accessed there spending no spending limit

After pay, don't give sh*t about the customer. I have made multiple purchases using this service. VERY BAD idea. Since 2022 my refunds have been pending. I only noticed this because of something else, and I was checking my bank transactions and realized that I had never gotten a refund from them. When I reached out, they told me that the vendor did not issue the refund. That's when I asked, so how did afterpay send me a refund confirmation? They did not answer, and what made it worse is that they are telling me they can't see all my refunds even though I have proof.

This app took my first form of payment for the first payment and then told me on the second payment that my source of payment was denied and then went into the site and put in three more credit cards all of them denied even though they're working everywhere else.
I have tried to contact this app with absolutely no luck every question an email with absolutely no reply there's no one that will talk to you and there's no way to get a hold of anyone.
I am now and have been receiving late notices late fees and still no one has contacted me. I would give this app no stars but there's no way to do that.
Don't get caught up in their stupidity if they can't have a customer service center they don't need to be doing business with the public

Afterpay isn't vetting their merchants. They are processing payments for websites that pop up and shut down in a matter of days. Example is sablehubs.com. I ordered a WInch through sablehubs.com and afterpay was the only payment method. The site is now gone, I never received shipping confirmation or the merchandise and it's been 16 days past the original delivery estimate date. Afterpay requires that I request a refund from the merchant but of course there is no merchant any more and Afterpay is perfectly fine with continuing to take payments from me. Not that it's any easier to contact afterpay than a website that has disappeared. There's no actual contact information anywhere on the afterpay website. You just have to file a dispute and wait for an email or phone call that thus far hasn't come. Plenty of automated messages but thus far no actual communication with a person. DO NOT USE AFTERPAY.

This afterpay is a scam. They will charge your credit card twice. One under the afterpay charge and the other under the merchant name... i don't know how the hell the secret service and the attorney general haven't caught these thieves. They are probably from another country. Contact your bank if you did any business with these clowns. Also the have a fake telephone with a message stating to contact them via email..

I placed an order with a company and applied for afterpay (the site worked out to be a scam.) First the charges went through afterpay before the order was complete and again through my credit card when I finalized the order. I have tried giving AfterPay the information they require several times and we keep going around in circles. Can't reach anyone by phone. Bottom line I have given up! I still have not received the item I purchased and the website now is down. BTW my credit card immediately reversed the charges.

Every time I go to use it I have to reconnect my account to Apple Pay. It's time consuming and embarrassing when I get an error message that funds aren't available. I've used it twice at the same store:Bargain Hunt, yet that store won't come up as an option to link to. First two times the employees had to work with my phone and account to get it to go through. The last time, today, I just gave up and put my purchase from Bargain Hunt on another account. I haven't yet decided if I will close the account or not.
