“Awesome company with morals unlike some...”

Afterpay is an awesome platform designed to help you purchase items by dividing your purchase to (4) equal payments. They have multiple stores they are partnered with to be able to offer you the payment options and gather more every day. They still in the US not have come as far as the Australia Afterpay platform allowing you to make virtual cards, purchase in all stores and other different merchants but it's getting there just takes time but make sure you check them out.

These guys are just money hungry bustards with absolutely no care factor or loyalty to thier customers what so ever. You cam be a loyal customer for years with perfect payments and when something goes wrong by accident they will.just cut you off for 12months without a care in the world which makes you feel used and unimportant to the company even.though you were probably a customer who helped build the company to where it is today. They don't give a $#*! about thier customers and they don't deserve customers full stop.

I have tried for weeks to afterpay to get my account unfrozen and have not had one reply from them I'm not happy at all all I get is someone will contact me and the send this number but have heard anything and there is no phone number you can ring them on I'm ready to close my account with them I have been with them since 2016 and never been late with a payment

I ordered a pair of Hoka shoes for 170.00 and never got the shoes instead the shoes was sent to Texas i live in Arkansas i reached out to UPS and the Hoka dealer as well as Afterpay all afterpay did was point the finger at the other company ordered the shors August 6 and its now October 28th still nothing being a single mom its hard to give up on 170.00 for shoes never got.

Please do not make the mistake of ever using AFTERPAY. They are a big scam and they have been successfully sued many times. If you are ONE day late they send your info to a COLLECTION agency without even telling you.
My attorney and I have already filed our own lawsuit against them, and my attorney says they are the worst scammers ever. AVOID.

Afterpay is not the same they cut my spending to 50 dollars because they said I was late on a payment but when I looked it up they had me late on my first payment and I was like how do you be late on first payment they never give an answer just saying our service is free to everyone then I read a little deeper they say in order to increase your limit you have to add a credit card I'm like no because I never had to before and after the way I been treated I won't be using this little 50 dollars like why would you need Afterpay for 50 dollars you can't buy anything with 50 dollars

Would recommend never use afterpay as customer service very limited. Highly recommend PayPal pay in four customer service excellent after I have paid my outstanding will be cancelling account

Afterpay doesn't seem to truly review their merchants that they work with. If something goes wrong with a purchase... They don't do anything for you. If a merchant ghosts you... That's too bad, Afterpay will just try to send a message to them, but that's it. They won't get involved or help you. You might even get a (sorry) in brackets.

Me: Hi Afterpay, I need help cancelling an order. I can't get in touch with the merchant. Please help.
Afterpay: Give them more time to reply, we can't do anything. Wait 48 hours.
Me: Okay...
-48 hours later-
Me: The merchant hasn't replied yet, I tried contacting through all the other methods too.
Afterpay: We're so sorry you're having issues! We'll make a dispute and do something for you! Let's wait 7-10 days and we'll update you.
Me: Okay.
-2 days later-
Afterpay: -closes the ticket-
-7 days later-
Me: Afterpay, I tried to contact regularly for the past 7 days. Here are proof of all my logs, and here is everything, I still can't contact, is there any update?
Afterpay: Can you confirm your details so we can confirm who you are?
Me: ok
Afterpay: Okay please wait a bit more, we will update you asap as soon as we make a resolution
Me: ok
-10 days after-
Me: Afterpay, it's been the 7-10 days now.
Afterpay: Please keep waiting.
-21 total days later-
Me: Afterpay... What am I waiting for?
Afterpay: we are waiting for the merchant to reply
Me:... but what if the merchant never replies?

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site unless the merchant is reputable because Afterpay itself is trash and just wants to hold your money. They won't do anything for you.

Been with Afterpay over 2years however the only thing I'm left with is a bad After taste YOU CANT COUNT ON(7days payments) GOLD PERKS. IT will cut your spending limit by 2/3. NO NUMBER TO REACH THEM. The reward points are not real it will cut your speeding limits.

Tip for consumers:
Don't rely on Gold rewards it will have your spending limit cut by 2/3 with no contact number to fix problem

Afterpay at first worked well - or did it? I ordered originally with vendors I was comfortable with and knew. I seen Chicme US advertised some really cute clothes. Because of the US, I was lead to believe they were located in USA, when they were in another country.
Afterpay was in communication with me throughout the ordering/shipping process.

Turned out from an order in November for Christmas, that order was delivered 2 mos later. In January, Afterpay had reached out to me to ask for my response when the vendor sent an email asking "will customer wait, or cancel" Immediately I answered to CANCEL, as this was something that we tried to do as of December 5,2021

January 2022 - Goods received and returned a few days after.
Despite my returning to the address Afterpay/vendor both advised, I am sent to collections for goods I don't have in my possession. Afterpay, makes more money from their late fees and also explains why they didn't push to cancel.

What a bunch of scammers. They deal with anyone who wants to be a vendor, honest and dishonest.

Tip for consumers:
Vendor was not in USA, kand Afterpay really doesn't keep their word. They tell you they want to have the tracking number when returning to make the vendor aware, yet STILL charge you for items that have been returned.

Products used:
clothing, but I returned it all due to poor quality and it took 2 mos to receive. By then I already ordered through another vendor and received that order within the week. These were Christmas gift.

You can't get into with them and by the time they get back to you it's another problem. My bank card was hacked and sent e-mail after email that THERE SYSTEM wouldn't let me change my. They kept trying to pull the money off the hacked card at the same time freezing my where I couldn't make changes…I WAS NEVER LATE ON A PAYMENT AND WOULDNT HAVE BEEN LATE THEN IF THEY HAD A WAY FOR CUSTOMER TO CALL THEM

1. They accept my first purchase when I use safelite glass repair. Yay and I made all my payments on time!
2. But then Afterpay post on social media on FACEBOOK that they will help pay for your next travel plans on EXPEDIA.COM/AFTERPAY and you can make payments after that. Well that is a SCAM AND A LIE Because I have a high limit and our hotel that we try to book is under the limit BUT THEY STILL DECLINE FOR NO SUCH REASONS!
3. WHY DO WE NEED TO MAKE SMALL PURCHASES WITH AFTERPAY CARD WHEN AND WHICH WE DO NOT NEED TO BUY NONSENSE ITEMS WITH AFTERPAY and wasting money for nonsense in order to only MAKE HOTEL BOOKING WITH IT!

They made me go through hoops and I paid off inky two orders I made early! Then they deny every order and tell me it's normal do not use these people!

They discriminate and lie about approval and account issues! I paid inky two orders off 3 weeks early and now they won’t approve any orders!

Afterpay is such an amazing app! I purchase so many things online and to have an app that allows you to make payments on your purchases without even a credit check, is just so amazingly helpful!

Tip for consumers:
Make all your payments on time and they continuously extend the total loan amount they allow you to use.

I bought two pairs of jeans from American Eagle back in March and I returned one pair but I was still charged for two pairs even though AE returned it in store. I have filed two return issue disputes and provided proof of the return and I have also filed two compliments and heard NOTHING back it's now July and the issue is still not resolved and I have still not been refunded or even contacted about the issue. There's nothing AE can do in their part either.

They have TERRIBLE customer service! You cannot call them to ask them anything and when you do try to correspond with someone on the app they respond with standard messages. Stay away from Afterpay if you need assistance there's no help WHATSOEVER. I will never order with Afterpay again - KLARNA is much much better.

Afterpay took a payment from my card (not the default card) on Wed morning (early) before I woke up. Payment is due by Wed midnight. My wife had sufficient funds in her account (the default card selected on Afterpay) so the deduction from my card was not approved or authorised by me. My wife went onto her account (I was away on business) when she woke up (on Wed morning) and noted that payment had not been deducted. She then paid manually (because we are ethical and pay our debts) unaware that my account had been debited already. Afterpay now blame us because I want a refund (for an unauthorised double payment). WTF Afterpay. Customer service has non-competent staff that cannot understand English and cannot work out what the problem is - they just blame you, the Client. They have now stated our account is blocked because of our hardship. That reflects badly on us. It is not our hardship - it is your useless, incompetent staff and system. I will be closing my Afterpay and NEVER subscribe again to this useless rip off. Just don't sign up people - there are other providers for this type of service that have competent people and are willing to assist and put you as the client first. (There needs to be a ZERO stars selection for this company)

Getting a refund out of Afterpay is more difficult than getting blood out of a stone

So, I've been with afterpay over a year I've reached mint status. But it's been constantly going back and forth with them because they repeatedly over charged me. I send them proof of my purchases and they still try to skim some money from me. I went back to purchases I've paid off and found that even when I argued and thought they reimburse me often they make you think you your money back but they actually Still kept some of it. So then you have to go back and tell them with proof again. You always get the same generic message when u complain about being overcharged.It s a small $5 or $10 buffer that will be returned. Well my " buffers got as high as "$40" and I had to fight to get my money back.this is constantly happening. I just made a purchase and it's had the overcharged price but underneath has my actual purchase price like they corrected it.but when you add up the payments I'm still being charged the same price when my purchase was way less! The lastest scam they have pulled on me ( I assume because I'm literally forcing them to give my money back every time they take it. Is that I made a purchase one Friday the 24 of Feb. Now the payments are supposed to be due the day of purchase.like if you make a purchase Monday it will be due two weeks later on Monday.Wed.due two weeks later on Wednesday. So this time they are sayingy payment is due on Thursday not Friday even though that's when I made the purchase. When I tried to correct it I was told the computer generated the due date I could switch my payment s or pay the late fees. That's all bull! After pay scam s their customers please steer clear

The service itself is totally fine but requesting an error on your personal details to be corrected has been the most stupidest and pointless process. After a long process of following all protocols, answering the same questions and sending the same documents multiple times to then be told it can't be changed/updated and that you can deactivate/delete your account and create another account. The problem is, however, you cannot use the same email to create another account because you details are still in the system - EVEN AFTER DELETING THE ACCOUNT. The representative couldn't tell me how long my details stay in the system for either as to create another account using the same email. Absolutely ridiculous.

Do not use this outfit. I made a purchase through them and didn't get any order confirmation, order status shipping info or the product I paid for and 12 days after I placed the order they still haven't given me any info on my order from their supposed investigation. I bought off a website that I didn't have any option other than use AFTERPAY. AFTERPAY claims my payment went to a totally different company than I bought from and claimed the 2 companies are together but the company payment supposedly went to said they don't even sell the product I bought and don't use such long order numbers that afterpay gave me and also said they have no connection to company website I bought from. DO NOT USE AFTERPAY...! Iwould give the minus 100 stars if It would be possible.

I should have checked their awful reveiw ratings before using them. Worst reveiws for a company I have ever seen.

Ordered a swimming pool that I haven't received 12 days after ordered and said 5 business days and merchant doesn't respond to inquiries or phone number doesn't go through.

I was overcharged on afterpay and they made no attempt to reimburse me. I contacted their customer support people contacted me and nothing was ever done. Please do not use this company.

DONT USE AFTERPAY. They DO do credit checks. It. DOES affect your credit score, EVEN if you make your payments on time, lenders will, and do avoid giving you loans! Lenders hate afterpay! Now i understand why. I used afterpay for years. Spent thousands. And now that i have not used it in over 6 months, i went from a 1500$ limit. To 100$ limit. They PUNISH customers for not using afterpay, despite loyalty! I closed my account. Dont even get me started on the "help and support". will.sum it up, RUDE. I will never go back to afterpay. And they keep updating their app with "feautures" that i literally had to buy a new phone, to even make purchases. Since they nuked the in store barcode simplicity, afterpay has gone trash. They joined up with mastercard for one reason. $$$$$ and privacy data mining / tracking. Money hungry. NOT recommended! Allot of the high reviews glorifying afterpay, i suspect, are PAID reviews. When you talk to REAL people, they do not like afterpay. Lots of complaints.

dont use it. save your credit. get a low rate credit card

THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND FOR ITEM AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN RETURNED. DO NOT USE THEY. I HAVE TO FILE A CLAIM THROUGH MY BANK TO TRY AND GET MY $400 BACK. AFTER THE MERCHANT REPEATEDLY SENT PROOF TO AFTERPAY THEY STILL REFUSE TO REFUND MY MONEY. NEVER USE THEM!
