The pick up and drop off were both super smooth processes. The vehicle I was given was very well optioned and in excellent condition.
When returning the car the companies system was down but the were completely professional and didn't make me disappointed.

Very easy to book, pickup and return. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were able to get car that would fit our family and car seat rental.
Super easy pre-check in experience allowed us to walk right out to rental cars. We couldn't figure out what SUV would fit our luggage and Jason helped us out and offered an upgrade to something bigger. Upon return, the gas cap was stuck on and when I let Alamo know they only charged me part of the gas charge. Overall exceptional service at this location, liked that employees gave me cards with their info in case we had any issues. Thank you for your help!
Reservation was not honored to the vehicle selected. Much more could have been done by Alamo to communicate and mitigate this issue prior to arriving so I could have changed rental company.
The car broke down in Ohio and we had to pay someone to jump it and was charged twice for it. We had timed tickets to our activities and had to take a Lyft.
I feel sorry for the very nice staff at the Midland Alamo counter—they are stuck enforcing terrible rental terms. Will not rent from Alamo again.
Car ran well. Check in took almost an hour because the keys were not available. The return experience at Fort Walton airport went well.
I'll list some issues. The brakes were really rough. The front passenger window couldn't be moved down by passenger, and the rear windows couldn't be moved up or down by passengers regardless of child safety button was engaged. The dash Cigarrette Light Adapter port didn't work (the one in center console did). The thing we struggled with the most was the key fab. It was difficult to lock, unlock, open trunk, and start. There were some times better than others. We have video recordings that will be helpful. If we hadn't been as busy as we were on the trip, we would have exchanged the car.
