I originally ordered blinds in a ruby color. After a month long delay I inquired about the delay. I was informed they were out of stock and it could be another month. I cancelled it and switched to another color which arrived in a timely manner and look fine. I was disappointed I was not informed of the delay until I was the one who had to make the inquiry. You should be more proactive in letting your customer know what is happening. I am otherwise very satisfied with blinds I have now received.
I paid for blinds 21/2 months ago. I still no idea when they will be here. Tracking shows Fed Ex has not received the product, only a label. Finally got through to a person, who admitted that the "American blinds" were order in China and they must still be on a boat. I have no idea when the will ever come. Maybe next year?
"Blackout" Bali shade is MISSING a portion of the blackout treatment which allows LIGHT into the room. Have purchased OVER 30 shades from these people since 2009 and as an apparent "thank you" is IGNORE my repeated requests for help. These clowns are the WORST. BEWARE if you EVER have a problem with ANY of their products, you're ON YOU OWN.
I like online shopping and have had past good products from AmericanBlinds ever since 2007. But there are changes in your designs, so my current order has these problems:
1. Your new plastic handles sag down making them hard to grasp at the windowsill. They also don't have a universal position option like the blinds in the past making them inconveniently placed for some of my windows... it's not ergonomic.
2. The lift/descend cords are now separated about 1/2 inch. Past blinds had those cords fed through the same hole. The separated design leads to lots of play left and right so the blinds are difficult to "park" at the same height/level. It doesn't look good and it takes more time to get the blind parked evenly.
3. The magnets buried under the plastic casing at the top-down bar are insufficiently strong to grasp the metal "button" of steel on the top rail for a secure and again LEVEL position.
4. The installation bracket for one blind had a manufacturing irregularity. Upon my phone call, Brian Davis agreed to send a replacement which has not arrived as yet.

There is nothing David or I can think of changing concerning our recent order. We were amazed at how smoothly the ordering process went and how quickly we received the blinds. Our son installed them for us and we are ecstatic at the final results. All we are sorry about is that we did not discover your company when we first moved in and had several windows to cover. This was our last window, but we are not going to forget you should we need to make some changes.
We are in a senior community and our neighbor bought all her blinds from you and was quick to recommend you when I was chatting with her about covering our last window. So very glad she did. Now, we are recommending you highly to any new residents moving in. If they don't listen, it will be their loss. Anytime window dressings come up in the conversation, I am quick to praise your company. Wish I had found you sooner.

The blind is very strong with the tie downs from the south breeze and does a great job shading the west side of porch. Easy to roll up after use.
American Blinds offered no support for alterations due to incorrect sizing even though their FAQ page notes the following:
"What if I measure incorrectly?
Unsure about measuring? No worries! When you carefully follow our step-by-step How to Measure Guide or have your windows professionally measured, we are confident your blinds will fit. For added confidence, we offer FREE assistance from one of our expert design consultants, who will provide extra help if you are concerned. Simply call *******016 or use our live chat and someone will walk you through the process.
If you do happen to make a mistake in measuring, please contact us within 30 calendar days so that we can help you get the perfect fit. Depending on the type of error, we will assist you in returning the product to the factory for alteration or we can offer to remake it for you at a discounted price."
We were offered a 20% discount to remake, which was not better versus just reordering and getting 50% off for Presidents Day (which is the route we chose).
We received a small credit in addition.
That being said, the heat seam at the bottom of one of the blinds has already failed. Not happy.
The level of incompetence is mind boggling. I cannot bear to go through the details, but assure you it's beyond comprehension how this company is in business and they need to shut their doors.

This website offers customer satisfaction, but falls short on delivery, no pun intended. I received several shipping dates, but still no product, even though it was ordered and paid for months ago. I got NO SATISFACTION! BUYER BEWARE when ordering from AMERICAN BLINDS!
Great order process. Great installation videos. Came when promised and tracked all the way. All partS included. Well packed. Only problem was the blinds were cut 2" smaller in width than i ordered.
It should not take over a month to order and receive blinds and then have a delay in top of that. Truly wish I had ordered from a different company. No communication whatsoever.

I have ordered cellular shade and wood blinds from American Blinds for years, for two different homes. I recommend them to friends who need blinds or shades because they are fast, have great pricing and good customer service. That was proven again with my latest order. Thrugh no fault of AB, I was SO unhappy with my Levelor cellular shades! Because of an unexpected surgery right before my shades were delivered, I couldn't install them right away and so I was outside the 30 day return policy when I discovered the problem with the product. But, instead of just telling me I was out of luck, AB's customer servvice came up with a terrific solution. And I was able to handle the whole thing via their chat function. So, I continue to be a very satsfied customer. Now I'm off to AB to purchase wooden blinds for the kitchen!

Very well laid out and easy to understand. Love that you save one screen to another so that changes are made from right to left sides without rekeying from the start.
The only problem I had was deciding on which paper to choose, what a selection. The one I finally chose was perfect and really freshen the look in our guest bathroom. Thank you American Blinds.

Years ago I spent thousands of dollars with American Blinds and was happy. A month ago I placed an order for custom shutters valued at $750 and was told they would be built 7/8 and arrive 7/15. Today, after HOURS on the phone of being placed on hold and hung upon, I sent several unanswered emails requesting some basic customer service. Not a single response. They claim shortage of staff due to COVID. They hide behind shortened hours and NO CUSTOMER INTERACTION. I say STEP UP AND BE ACCOUNTABLE or CLOSE YOUR DAMNED BUSINESS and stop taking orders and people's money. I want my order cancelled and a full refund.

I had order from American Blinds twice before and had good experiences. We are listing our house for sale in the next few weeks, and need to replace one blind. The ordering process was great - no hassle. BUT - shipping was for Feb 6,2017. The date came - no shipping information posted to my account. I understand a day off of shipping - it happens. On Feb 7 I called to check the status and was told the order was on the dock and waiting for Fedex to pick it up and that it would be shipped on Feb 7. I would also be receiving an email update. Today is Feb 8 - no email! I called and was told that the order is on the pallet - and would be shipped today. HA! Maybe it will, maybe it won't! And, when I asked for a manager to contact me about this ridiculous situation, I was told that it would be 24-48 hours before he 'might' call me! REALLY? I guess customer service and 100% satisfaction (as advertised) is just all words and no talk. I will not recommend American Blinds to anyone and rest assured I will not be ordering from them again.
