I originally ordered blinds in a ruby color. After a month long delay I inquired about the delay. I was informed they were out of stock and it could be another month. I cancelled it and switched to another color which arrived in a timely manner and look fine. I was disappointed I was not informed of the delay until I was the one who had to make the inquiry. You should be more proactive in letting your customer know what is happening. I am otherwise very satisfied with blinds I have now received.
I paid for blinds 21/2 months ago. I still no idea when they will be here. Tracking shows Fed Ex has not received the product, only a label. Finally got through to a person, who admitted that the "American blinds" were order in China and they must still be on a boat. I have no idea when the will ever come. Maybe next year?
My husband I did a complete renovation of our dining room. I had ordered framed art, a Monet and two Silvia Novak prints, the quality is fabulous. I also ordered wood blinds at a fraction of the cost of big box stores. They look wonderful. I am very impressed with their customer service and will be ordering from them again!
I purchased 10 blinds with a valance return of 1 1/8 inch. When assembling the valance returns I found that the clips were very tight to press in. Six of the ends snapped at the exact same place (picture attached) I contacted the company and they said that they would have to make entirely new complete valances instead of the little returns and that I would have to pay for them since I broke them. I got a quote of $85 for 3 valances which I later discovered would not be enough because many of the broken pieces were from the same side of the valance. I spent over $1000. On these blinds and they will not even give me some little valance pieces. Not wise customer service decisions!

Ordered over $800 worth of blinds for my home and they are all too narrow. They take too much off the measurements. When approaching the company they recommended I buy them again and add width to each window measurement. This is a terrible way to do business. The industry standard is 1/4 inch off measurements provided, they take 1/2 inch. If you are buying them for insulation and/or light blocking don't waste your money! I will never buy from them again, nor will I recommend them to any of my MANY friends!
Tip for consumers:
Add 1/2 inch to your measurements to get the right fit!

I have purchased shades, actually many shades from American Blinds and have always been satisfied. In this case I ordered a size that was beyond what you normally make 93" by 46" and was told that it would come with one bar and two shades. I found this a little difficult to understand, but when the shades arrived I understood how they were built. WONDERFUL! Not only that but my daughter was able to put them up alone may I add, in minutes and now what use to be an entire wall of dirty, dusty living room drapes is now a beautiful shade that you can't see during the day, and at night gives us the privacy we're looking for. This was a home run as far as I'm concerned!

So I ordered blinds from American Blinds last year then tried to match them up this year with the other windows. They sent different material than the first time. Blamed it on a supplier (they dont make there own blinds). Then sent me an email saying they were sending replacements, then they just never sent the replacements saying they changed their mind. The blinds feel flimsy and cheap and I dont know who really makes them but it does say made in china all over every piece.

I love the wallpaper! We used it as the backings of our 3 bookcases in our dining room area. It pleasantly compliments our honeydew wall paint color and dining room decor. Our plain white bookcases look elegant and stylish now:)

This company needs someone in quality control to check what they do before they ship! I ordered blinds for two apartments, and only one of 14 vertical blinds fit! All the rest were too long, and I had to trim them all! Not happy!
The service and product I have received from you, to date, has been exceptional! My order always arrives in a very short time and in good shape. I know this is not in your control, but the only thing I would love to see is Hunter Douglas products offered. Other than that, keep on doing what you are doing, I love it!

This company is by far the worst! One of the blinds was off by 1/2 a inch! Their suggested fix was to order a new blind. I'm glad I went with Blinds.com they are great to work with and have a return policy up to 4 blinds.

Measuring instructions were very clear. Ordering online was easy. Shipping time was great. Delivery was on time. The shade went up amazingly easy. That makes for a pretty much perfect product. I have ordered cellular blinds from this company on several different occasions. I am delighted with both the quality of the shades and the responsiveness of the company. We would totally buy from American Blinds again. The website is super helpful as far as measuring, etc. Love how you can label what you are ordering according to the room so that there are no mix-ups. Also, you can save your order online until you decide you want to place it. The Roman Shades we ordered were just as specified online and were easy to install. We are very happy!
I really can't think of anything that I would change about my experience with you folks. Your delivery was quick and accurate. I messed up and ran out of one of the wallpapers. I had to reorder another roll which is what I ordered a month ago. The paper I had was discontinued but I emailed customer service and Ann Werner checked with the manufacturer to get a new roll for me. What more could I ask?
Everything we have bought from American blinds has worked really well. And we liked John in Customer Service. He helped us order the three motorized shades we bought. Yes, not cheap (about $1500, total), but they are really nice and work well.
The purchase was flawless and I would change nothing. The items only took 4 days to arrive. Especially terrific was Lauren Foster who went out of her way to find me a wallpaper similar to one that was discontinued. The project turned out beautifully and I would definitely use American Blinds again.

I am so pleased with my new powder room! I was in a bit of a rush to complete the project so I thought buying local would be my best bet.
I searched MANY local stores for the perfect wallpaper but was so disappointed. I took my search online, but was only finding designs that I liked but didn't love. Price was also a factor as the area I was covering was small. I didn't want to spend too much for a roll that would end up going to waste. I finally came across American blinds.com and found exactly what I was looking for, plus got ideas for future projects! I was able to get the rolls I needed rushed to me in 2 days for less than it would have to cost to buy the same amount of wall covering from a local store. I will definitely continue to purchase from American Blinds and highly recommend them to all my friends!
I would have given a rating of 4 or 5 but am not happy with my dealings with customer service. The ordering process online was easy enough and the turn around was pretty short. The products seem to be fairly decent quality. However, when I ordered cordless shades, I ordered 3 shades, it indicated that each order would come with a cordless pole to raise and lower the shade. I assumed each shade would come with a pole but I only received one pole because it was only one order with three shades. I was told if I had done three separate orders then I would have received three poles at no extra charge. Tell me the logic in that please? Customer service was willing to charge me for more poles but not provide good customer retention service and offer to send me two more poles. By the way, the poles themselves are fully cheap plastic and they want something like $68 for additional poles. Buyer beware!

The WebSite is easy and efficient to use. Great presentation. My order arrived promptly and I found the wall border to be off very high quality. No surprises - looked exactly as shown on the WebSite.
