I originally ordered blinds in a ruby color. After a month long delay I inquired about the delay. I was informed they were out of stock and it could be another month. I cancelled it and switched to another color which arrived in a timely manner and look fine. I was disappointed I was not informed of the delay until I was the one who had to make the inquiry. You should be more proactive in letting your customer know what is happening. I am otherwise very satisfied with blinds I have now received.
I paid for blinds 21/2 months ago. I still no idea when they will be here. Tracking shows Fed Ex has not received the product, only a label. Finally got through to a person, who admitted that the "American blinds" were order in China and they must still be on a boat. I have no idea when the will ever come. Maybe next year?
I ordered vertical blinds from American Blinds. They are absolutely the wrong color & not textured as I had ordered. I just spoke to a 2nd person in customer service and was told they could not be replaced.
Last week I spoke to a different person in customer service & was told to send pictures of the blinds. They said it was mostly likely a shipping error. Which it was.
I emailed pictures twice. Since I had no response, I called again today.
This company has customer service rep's who are uninformed or liars.

I ordered wallpaper for my bathroom, York easy on easy off. This wallpaper was as promised very easy to install. My bathroom has uneven corners and a curved wall, and the bathroom looks great. I loved the free shipping. A local store was going to charge a lot to ship in the amount needed.

I haven't heard any update from them and my property has been sold meanwhile, so I send couple of emails to cancel my order and also contacted their Rep about canceling my order and he told me within a couple of days we will hear from the company but so far I haven't heard anything from the company. Meanwhile I reported a complaint to the PayPal which I used it for payment and they responded to them that they will contact on 10/23 for the status. Their customer services are so bad that I had to wait on the phone couple of hours and no return responses from their customer email account. This is one of the worst experience I'm having from the retailer! SO BAD!

I was very pleased with the shade I ordered. I put it up myself without any problems and I really like the color and quality of the shade. Although I haven't ordered very often from American Blinds, when I do need something I always return to your company, and have been very satisfied. I think my first order would have been sometime in the 1980s!

I had an issue with one of the custom blinds I received. I sent an e-mail to customer service requesting a replacement and I received an email from a rep immediately followed by a confirmation of a replacement order (this was also later in the evening and I wasn't expecting a response until at least the next morning). Truly amazing customer service! And I am in love with my blinds!
I really, really like the blind we purchased from American Blinds. The company was recommended to me by a close friend who was very happy with her blinds too. When I looked a blinds at local stores, the cost was prohibitive. The cost through American Blinds was about half the price of the local stores including the big box home improvement stores. My husband installed the blind. The installation was easy and the directions were easy to follow. I also was impressed that the company sent me color samples first. Both the sampes and blinds arrived in the time frame that was promised. I am happy to recommend the company.
I was so pleased with the wallpaper border I ordered. The picture really didn't do it justice; it is beautiful! The next time I order wallpaper or border I will order from American Blinds. Shipping was fast, price was great, I couldn't be happier! It was wonderful doing business with you.
I love this company! I ordered the 2" Bass Wood Blinds by American Blinds and I love them. They are perfect and look great! The first time I purchased blinds from this company was 1991 and the truth is, they were in perfect shape, just wanted a change. Wouldn't go any where else! The other blinds I purchased in 1991 are still in my kitchen today and still look amazing.

30 years got my first set of patio door blinds. Then 7 foot wide for my living room followed by verticals for dining room also. Afer that 2 sets for my mom's bedrooms. When I decided to replace my family room used the measurements from the 20 year old invoice. Of course then way short and even after moving the brackets down wanted to charge me 80% of my cost for longer vanes. 18 months later two wouldn't rotate. First rail under warranty and they woudb't even open and close. Got a new replacement now and at least functional. But still really light weight and vanes still not even. So I'd recommended just buying from you local chain. Would seem in the past 5 or more years the quality of American Blinds has seriously deteriorated. Even the thickness and sturdiness of the vanes about 50% of what they were previously.
BUYER BEWARE! Ordered blinds, did not come correctly, not the product they said they were, then have the nerve to give you a 25% off to reorder the correct ones, when they wont return or refund the original purchase. A dishonest, no integrity company taking advantage of consumers. NEVER BUY from them again!
Ordered over $600 worth of blinds. Installed only to find the raising/lowering cords are too short. From floor to pull ring is 90". There is no way to reach the pull without a ladder. Called a rep. She told me that is how they are made. My only option was to donate this $600 blunder to goodwill and reorder. I have never heard of such poor customer service in my life. That kind of money isn't something I just throw away. She offered me no help, nothing of any resolution. It was no big deal to her. Did I want to reorder? What fool would buy from them again? Where is the warranty? There is none. Where is a guarantee? None. What kind of company operates in this manner? It is obvious the cords were cut too short. Yet I was offered nothing in a way of help. Poor workmanship. Poor quality, and even worse customer service. One set of blinds didn't even have a pull ring. She never even addressed this. Just tough out of luck. Well, tough for you too. The next order of over $1000 will go to your competition. I refuse to do business with people of this caliber who treat their repeat customers in such a manner. Shame on you? You cost me $600 once but my guarantee is, you won't do it a second time. Too many other places to do business with that will fix their own messes and make it right with good customers. Why would any company think cutting a cord two inches from the top of a blind be correct SOP. THIS is absurd. That puts the pull over 7" from the floor. Who can reach this? No one. But I am supposed to throw them out and reorder. Not today!

How to correct their manufacturing defeat. Some kind of help as a resolution might have been nice. Replacement blinds that I could use would have helped. I got nothing.

I have ordered shades from American Blinds for 30+ years and never had a problem until now. We moved and I have to replace shades on 7 windows. I ordered 4 windows and have problems with every window. Customer service seem to be OK but manufacturer claims the order is correct. I have sent several emails with photos, explanation and measurements and manufacturer told me the order is correct but they will make new valances for an extra cost of about $7 a valance. Prices increased and I already paid $368.44 for buy one get one free. I will do with the valances but won't order the rest. Besides the short valances one of the windows has a problem with the wand and one of the vanes won't shut correctly. I am not going to bother with company again because I already know what they will say. I just won't close the shade tight. The end of the story... I WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN FROM AMERICAN BLINDS

They say a company is only as good as its customer service, and unfortunately, I have learned that American Blinds is no longer a good company based on my first experience with an issue after many years as a loyal customer. Years ago, we furnished our entire house with blinds purchased from American Blinds, and we've slowly been replacing those blinds with new purchases from American Blinds as we've updated our house, always with complete satisfaction. However, I recently purchased a mini-blind at the recommendation of one of their design consultants that is too deep for our relatively shallow window frames. This was never a problem with any of our prior purchases. After contacting their customer service, the only solution offered was for me to purchase a replacement blind using one of their design consultants (again) to ensure it will fit. They do not offer returns or refunds, and my request for a price concession toward the replacement blind was unanswered.
Fortunately, I learned their disregard for me as a customer over a $100 blind and not concerning an issue with the $1,000s of blinds previously purchased through American Blinds. I will take their customer service agent's advice and order a replacement with the guidance of a design consultant, but it will be from a different company. I can no longer recommend American Blinds -- caveat emptor.

I ordered my blinds and was given the 14th as the ship date. On the 14th, I checked my status and it bumped to the 18th. I called and talked to someone who said that the factory is closed and would have to e-mail them to get an update. I found this odd in the middle of the day in the middle of the work week. I never got a call or e-mail back but on the 18th I finally got my tracking number, which is coming from CHINA!
How can a company put their name as American Blinds, and be made in China! Nowhere on their site does it tell you otherwise. I'm a firm believer of buying products made in the USA
I love my blinds. I ordered two sets. One for my office to keep the sun out of my eyes and one for the beauty of my new bathroom that allows for privacy but lets in the light. The one for the bathroom is a Roman shade. The salesgirls were amazing. The delivery was on-time and the installation a breeze. The price was half of other name brands I have in the home we just bought but I cntn tell the difference. I would highly recommend this company and will use them in the future for my dining room and den.
I bought Hunter-Douglas Duet Bottom up/top down in 2006. They got bought out and now have no record of my purchase. The duet needs repair and because they have lost my order, will not send it back to Hunter-Douglas. I talked to Hunter-Douglas and they said American Blinds need to do the process to get the duet back to Hunter-Douglass, American Blinds would not do this, they said they would sell me another one with a 10 percent discount.! Hunter-Douglas gave me the name of a company in The Woodlands that would help me. I wil never deal with this company.
We've outfitted the entire house with cellular blinds from American Blinds for over the past 10 yrs. Recently 2 of the original blinds we purchased started wearing down. The top down button up cords were getting frayed and breaking from years of use. No fault to the company or the manufacturer. When we inquired about ordering new blinds to replace them they told us that color we used was no longer in stock and sent us some sample colors. None of those would match so we were lost on what to do next. When we asked if there was some way to have them restrung they looked into it for us. What surprised us was that not only did they find a way to have them restrung but they did it for FREE and FREE shipping back to us. ( We did pay to ship to them) A reminder this was way past the warranty on these blinds. We were very impressed and will use them for all future window coverings!
