Very easy and smooth transaction. These guys knew exactly what was needed and came through in time! The Engine purchased was delivered safely and quickly, and has performed as well as could ever be expected since the installation. If I'm ever looking again, this place will be my first call. Very good experience. The sales representative was very friendly and professional. He answered all my questions knowledgeably. I was very pleased with the price. They was very helpful easy to deal with they pulled the number an new exactly what I was looking for.
You be the judge The sales person will tell YOU anything. I needed a transmission,. They do not test them. I received 2 Transmissions One was just as bad as the frist one. I spent over $ v2500. Alone in Labor cost plus the Transmission. WARRANTY, no much thing...I did everything ask for, and they kept asking me for more. They wanted to to take the transmission out of the auto, then put in on a shipping pallet and ship it back to them ( probably would cost me over $ 1000. Then they would look at it. I have never wrote a review on a company. They are all liars, they will give you a run around and will not stand behind they words or WARRANTY. Save yourself a lot of problems and don't buy anything from this company

They sell trash engines, they advertise engines with 50k mikes or 3 years warranty, when you try to return it, you have to pay for shipping back and they still charge you 25%
Bad really bad business, I frustrated I don't have the engine and I don't have mi money back to mi bank account, in one click they remove mi money now 20 days after nothing,
And after call them again; they tell me to wait for refund only 80% of my money back.
When I call for engine I ask about engine with warranty for work not for broken engine.

I bought a transmission for my Dauther 2007 Saturn for $1099. 00, but unfortunately it has broken 3-5R clutch snap ring and it has a malfunction pressure switch and module so to fix this is going to cost me $3,398.06 to fix it. They sent me the warranty certificate, but they do not tell you you have to call within 15 days from delivery to activate it. They advertise a 3-year warranty, and you are under the impression that you are cover. Unless you read the 4-page contract they send you. And that's how they get away selling bad transmission and not be accountable. I did sign the contract in order for them to collect their money and verify the address where they are sending the transmission to, but I did not read it. Shame on then for taking advantage on this old lady, I live in Oregon and the transmission was going to Colorado. There web side has no negative reviews but go to Google and it is a different story. I dealt with Paul Johnson who told me read your contract you signed it. I do not recommend this company because they do not stand behind their product, we own a mechanic shop in Oregon, and we will never order parts from them again Martha Rainey

This business sells used auto parts. I purchased a used transmission as that was the only thing my customer could afford. They said it had a 12 month part only warranty. When the transmission arrived the fluid in the transmission was badly burned indicating an internal problem causing the fluid to overheat. We would not even service a transmission that showed up at our shop with this fluid condition. We informed AM Used Auto Parts and was told it was working when they took it out. They said we would have to install it and then report to them it was faulty to file a warranty claim. The transmission has a part only warranty. I asked "Do you mean you want me to install to prove it faulty and charge the customer twice because it's a part only warranty" and Bryan Johnson responded "Yes". We don't work like that, we are here to protect our customers. They will take the part back and charge me 20% restocking fee and I have to pay the freight for them selling me a faulty part. The cost to return the transmission would be 2/3's what I originally paid.

I wish I had looked at reviews for this place prior to doing business with them. Don't repeat our mistake.
We ordered a used, warrantied engine for my daughter's Jeep Liberty. When it arrived, the mechanic was not impressed with the overall condition, but we figured since it had a warranty we would move forward and not make a whole thing out of it.
Turns out they sent the wrong engine! Our mechanic got it in (after having to swap out several parts that were bad) only to discover the flex plate doesn't match up.
After several days of trying to reach them, they tried to tell us the problem was the pilot bearing- which shouldn't even exist on an automatic transmission. (And this engine didn't have one).
Our mechanic sent them pictures of the flex plates of both engines to prove they won't match up. The company still maintains it is the correct engine. They said we could ship it back for a refund minus a 20% restocking fee-- it's $500 to ship it.
Our mechanic believes they sent an engine from a 2WD rather than a 4WD. Apparently the "warranty" doesn't cover them screwing up and sending the wrong part.
2 1/2 months later, and my daughter STILL has no car and we are stuck trying to resell an engine without even knowing what the heck car it fits in!
I intend to post this review on every site I can find until they reimburse the full price we paid for this giant paperweight. I'm hoping to not have to get our attorney involved, but I'm not optimistic. I

This company doesn't deserve anyone's business. I bought two transmissions before Christmas of 2016. The first one is for 09 Jeep Patriot and the other one is for 07 Ford 500. We agreed on $1100. 00 each and 3 years warranty. I got an email confirmation for that price. Suddenly bfore shipping, they decided to increase the price by $195.00 for each transmission. I tried to stick with the agreed prices but they refused. I decided to pay the extra money. I supposed to get them both befor the end of 2016. One came in three weeks late and the other one came in seven weeks late. I activated the warranty thru a website link they provided. The Jeep transmission wasn't good. I called many times and sent many emails but no luck. The answer was we didn't have one available now and we will send you for free. Suddenly, they asked me to send $1100. 00 for the replacement claiming that I didn't activate my warranty which was a big lie. I lost the money of the transmission and $400 the installation cost.
Please don't waste your money dealing with this company.
I have done business with them on a transmission the company sent the wrong one and then expected me to pay 300 to ship the wrong one back and blamed it on me says it was my mistake and they didnt have phone call recordings of the sale so i had to pay 300 to ship the wrong one back and it took 3 weeks for my new transmission to be shipped and when i received it i did not get a sales recite or a link to activate the 1 year warranty i had the tranny put n and it went 18 miles and it down shifted on me so i had my truck towed back and the transmission shop told me that it was a bad transmission so i called to have am auto pay for labor and shipping fees because it was there fault and they told me it wasnt there fault it was a computer problem and it isn't the supervisor told me its something i did and i have to take it out and pay $300 more and labor to ship it to put the first tranny in was $800 and they say i have to do it all and they can refund me my 700 that i bought it with! Don't do business with these people there terrible they will stiff u and there parts are $#*!!

I purchased a motor from am used auto parts jan 8th, 2016 in the amount of 1150. 00 they sent the engine the mechanic put it in i drove it 45 miles and the replacement motor blew up. I called several times for a replacement motor. I was told in order to get a refund i would have to pay to send the motor back to them or i could wait for them to get another replacement motor in to send to me. It took them over 2 months to send a replacement. I asked for a refund many times and they told me i had to pay to freight the blown motor back to them. Finally on april 7,2016 they agree to send out a new engine. That motor came and the mechanic started to prepare for installation and realized there was water in the oil. I called am used auto parts back this morning april 4,2016 and they told me that my mechanic and are are both liars and they arent going to do anything about the motor. I informed them I would be contacting the better business bureau and he said ok thank you for your business and hung up his name was Andy

Placed order with $ on June 25. Agreement read "your part may not be delivered for 3-10 days" because of shipping time. However, it has now been 12 days and item has not shipped yet. I received email "your order has been shipped" yesterday but still not shipped per them.

I blame myself for not looking at reviews before purchasing. I bought a 1994 automatic Transmission was told it was tested for 899.00 I got it did what instruction said changed oil pan gasket etc. Installed and engine barely turned over. I contacted them was told take to Licensed transmission shop. The shop said toque convetor failed pump and clutched burnt up so it wasnt tested total junk. I sent documents in several times and wanted replacement. I sent in pictures of broken down transmission waited. I asked if I could have transmission put back together for shipment back while replacement comes and I was told that I voided warrenty beccause transmisson shop opened up transmission even though I was told by AMuap to do just that. I have filed a fromal comlaint with my Attorney Gereral and this is just the start I dont want any other senior like myself get scammed so I have lots of important people to send all these documents too. I tried to show proof of purchase several times and the transmission shop invoice but I dont know how to convert it.

I was told transmission was tested and it had about 90,000 miles. after install engine barley turned over. I was told take it to a licensed transmission shop I did they said toque convertor was burnt up destroyed oil pump and clutches so it wasnt tested. I sent in all documents many times asking for a replacement. Now they tell me warrenty is voided because transmission shop opened up transmission which is what they had to do. I turned them in to my Attorney General and I am not finished.

I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU RECONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! I had a VERY BAD experience with them. On 9/29/2015 I bought a used engine with a purported 78,000 miles. The staff told me outright lies about the shipping of the engine. I was told repeatedly that it had shipped when it had not. It finally shipped on 10/9/2015. When the engine arrived, it was obviously NOT a 78,000 mile engine. Damage to the front of the crank, the front and rear seals, throttle bottle, epoxy-patched oil pan, filthy inside and out. My mechanic with over 35 years of experience, thought that this was the worst used engine he had EVER had delivered to him and was obviously an engine with a couple hundred thousand miles on it, AND, had been abused by mechanics in the past. When confronted with this, the staff was indifferent. Paying for return shipping and a 20% restocking fee was prohibitively expensive. When asked via email and letter to make this right, AM Used Auto Parts chose not to respond. In summation, these are the VERY WORST KINDS OF PEOPLE DOING BUSINESS WITH USED AUTO PARTS AND HAVING THE NATION-WIDE REACH OF THE INTERNET. I WOULD CALL THEM "RIP-OFFS" AND SUGGEST THAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AND DO IT ELSEWHERE!

I live in CA and purchased a used transmission for my 2012 Nissan Murano without checking for reviews and sorely regret it now. It took 10 days to receive a tracking number and over two weeks to receive the part. If that wasn't bad enough, the part they sent was defective and my mechanic refused to install it.
I contacted them via phone and email and even sent video clips of the defective transmission and compared it to a proper working one (since there is no way to diagnose it without it being inside a vehicle). They reviewed my video clips and agreed over the phone that it appeared to be defective and would contact me after submitting it to their warranty department and let me know if the costs of shipping it back would be covered. That was over a week ago on December 20,2019. I never got a call or email so I called them back on Monday December 23rd, only to find out they are closed the entire week for Christmas (something they could've mentioned over the phone!).
I followed up again today, December 30,2019, and the rep I have been working with since the purchase (Joseph Miller) acted like he didn't know what I was talking about, so I asked for a manager. He put me on hold for 15 minutes to "get a manager", then came back on the line to tell me the manager wasn't available until after the new year (how convenient), and that he now remembers my issue and will follow up with their warranty department to cover the costs of shipping the 250+lb defective transmission back to them on the East Coast.
I am without a vehicle for over a month now, incurring rental car costs during the worst time of the year for this to happen, and let me tell you, a single mom of 2 kids on a fixed income, $1,200 for a defective part and the hassle of dealing with such dishonest and uncaring people is not how I envisioned spending my Holidays and my hard earned money.
Perhaps I am naive, but I am still hoping these people will do the right thing so that I don't have to incur more expenses and headache to take legal action!
