The reviews that appear on its website do not at all reflect my lived horrid experience. All the reviews are stellar and false. I have yet to see way to post my review on its site about my property. I have pictures that can't be uploaded as well. I no longer trust this site.

SCAM ALERT

My wife and I were looking for a house to rent on this site. We found a house in ORLANDO FL. We got in contact with whom we thought was the realtor and the owner of the property only to get robbed of our deposit. These site is ran by Scammers" BEWARE". THEY ARE NT Real estate agents or brokers. THEY WILL ROB YOU" OUT of your $$$

Absolute garbage

This "site" (the term only loosely applies -- I suppose technically they at least own a URL) purchased the absolutely fantastic rental management company Cozy.co a few months back, thus finally buying out all the rental management competition. Cozy accounts were migrated over to Apartments.com, thus ending any sort of customer support, functionality, or utility.

Cozy had great features, like rent collection and running credit checks. Apartments.com states they offer similar services. In reality, they have buttons with labels corresponding to these features, but don't expect anything other than a server error if you try to use them!

Call customer support, you say? You'll get connected after only a few short hours (read: 5-10) to an extremely nice representative, who will, regardless of the issue (big or small) eventually indicate that someone else will need to fix this and refer you to some other magical tier of support. This other mythical support person will *never* return your call.

Just call back, you say? People get busy? You will call back, confident that this time will be different. But it will not. And you'll do it again. And again. For literal *months* before finally giving up.

Apartments.com is the dystopian future promised in all dark scifi. It is the technological emperor with no clothes. It will remind you of everything wrong with the world.

Meadowbrook apartments

Horrible management director will smile in your face and pay you no mind, utilities are a 3rd party, they rip you off, i had a 200 electric bill twice and was a run around to get resolved, maintenance puts a patch up job on everything, water system is awful, pool always dirty, i DONOT recommend a dog live there also got mold in there utility closet which your family with breathe in

You have no idea what this community and its staff and my neighbors mean to me. I love coming home every day to a beautiful resort-like community, and my lovely apartment. Watching the sunset each evening is a true blessing and something I'll never take for granted again. But the office staff is what makes the difference for me. They treat you like humans. They call you by name. They're kind, considerate, empathetic, and just wonderful human beings. I believe they are the reason that this community will continue to be successful in the years to come and be a vital part of the Hamlin community. You can't teach these skills or qualities. These are God-given talents. The maintenance staff is top-notch. If you have an emergency in the middle of the night, they will call you as quickly as possible and first try to help you over the phone to see if it's something that you can get under control by yourself. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, they will either come out straight away or ask you if they may come in the morning. Either way, they are going to get it fixed for you in the quickest way possible. I think the best way to describe this community and its beautiful amenities is like getting to go on vacation every single day. Surrounded by beautiful Lake Hartley, and so close to the Town Center of Hamlin, I think this is the perfect spot for anyone who wants to be close to it all, yet still have that feeling of privacy and quaintness. To me, this is one of the finest places to live not only in Winter Garden but in all of Central Florida. Stop by and have a look for yourself. I don't think you will regret it one bit.

They said my condo was not recognized as a residential unit. When I asked them why they did some research and found a four-year-old add for my condo and realized it really was residential so they posted that 4 year old add with incorrect information and old pictures. When I tried to correct it it said my account had been deactivated. I tried to contact them again and they have not responded. Now I'm getting calls asking if it's available and why it is so cheap for that area. My only recourse is to wait the 21 days until the ad expires. Nice work ap.com!

I have been living here for 6 months and I will say I read all the negative reviews and had reservations about moving here. From the beginning they took the time to go over my concerns and they were very open and honest about the negatives and explained the steps they were taking to correct the perceptions. What I have found is a very responsive staff both in the office and maintenance personnel. Victor, Karen and the other people in the office are always pleasant and professional. They addressed my concerns quickly and throughly. Just today I needed a situation corrected and it was handled with one call. As for the maintenance staff, Ray has been the best. Today Derelle ( sorry) if I spelled his name wrong was on time and corrected the problem all the while listening to me and he suggested ways to better the living situation for me and the other residents in the complex.The one thing I am sure of is the negatives have been dealt with. I need to add the residents need to take pride and ownership of their living situations and help make Carleton East what can and should be, home. We all have a responsibility to be good residents.

I miss Cozy.co

Was converted to apt.com from Cozy. Have 2 rental properties. It's awful. Can't get customer service to call back. Site is not user friendly. Tenants having trouble getting set up. Terrible.

I don't know if its a payoff situation or what, but when I tried to leave a negative review of my slumlord rental company it was deleted. Why? No clue. I tried reposting an edited version, leaving out grievances such as "dog $#*! covering every single flat surface" and "Mice defecating in my cupboards for two months before they could be bothered to take care of it." It was up for a few hours this time before it was deleted. Why? No clue. I'm now barred from leaving a review of any sort. Long story short don't believe any review score on this site, as I can confidently guarantee its skewed, to say the least.

I submitted an application (with $29 fee) for a property. I realized a few hours later I had already dealt with that property owner through Facebook Marketplace, and he had ghosted me a week earlier while setting up a tour. I assume he found a renter, but Apartments.com is still collecting money for applications to the unavailable property? When I submitted a warning/complaint to Apartments.com, the reply two days later was "We don't really get involved" especially because the property owner is "verified." In general, Apartment.com's listings are far from complete and will appear somewhere else anyway. Save your money.

This place has very $#*! poor management and they have bugs everywhere. I would not recommend anyone to live here. They have Orkin come out every single week and no one ever takes care of maintenance requests. It's so hard to get anyone to answer a phone call or an email. They are rude and could care less about you as a resident. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Should be illegal

Absolute garbage. Tell me again why I have to go through a website that charges me. 25% to my rent on my debit card? Or if you haven't went through all their asinine security checks them you have to wait a week to have your payment processed which could make you late kn your rent. A law against these types of dictative extortive unfair practices should be made and enforced. Way to take something as simple as paying your rent complicated and costly. God technology is so awesome. Nothing like being forced to allow complete strangers to have access to all your financial information. Top notch America. Top notch. Where's the negative stars button?

Aventerra apartments are a great place to live and call home. I started out at these apartments in 2005 and was blessed to purchase a home in 2016. But my son still lives there and we never had any problems. The manager "Shirlae" is absolutely wonderful and professional with staff as well. I have called this place home and still do as I visit often. When I visit I feel safe and secure. Thanks, Aventerra for your great hospitality

Money over repairs
July 8, 2021

To the person that works 9:00 to 12:00 that's supposed to be at the office till 5:00 but never wants to come to work or answer the phone and respond to repairs a day later or two days later by text only I am filing a complaint against the Concord Manor Apartment manager in Beaumont Tx. The maintenance person only come sees you at 6:00 p.m. maybe till 7:00 pm and that's it. I would advise all tenants living there and people that's considering to rent there to not come there if the manager Monica Barraza is overseeing the place. She is a horrible disrespectful and rude manager who doesn't care about the disabled. Just to let you know she will take your money for rent but never fix your repairs. The owners needs to hire a new manager to make sure the tenants needs are met.

Let me first start by saying a big thank you to finally having & living at a property with amazing staff at the front office. Maintenance and property staff are always happy and go above and beyond to get the job done. A huge Thank you! I have zero complaints. I enjoy all the amenities at Block 24 and hoping the basketball court will be open soon. I want to give a big "WOW" to Judy. She has made my move-in really smooth and answered all my community questions. I look forward to staying here for a while.

We were with westside rentals for years, they became Apartments.com and everything changed.
You cant audit your listings, customer service is uninformed and as such no help.
They miss lead you. Your ad shows active on Apartments portal but if you search their site as a renter you wont find your property by searching
Price, zip code or description.
Your ad will show # of views to imply your ad had this many views but the number of views is how many people looked for units like yours on Apartments.com not how many viewed your ad. Get it?
If you have been using the site for free you may have noticed your ad response has dropped.
Only premium members who up grade are guaranteed to get calls.
Premium service didnt work for us either.

We were forced to change to this from Cozy and has been nothing but frustrations with their site being slow and laid out inefficient. I'm looking to switch my 20 properties to another site. Sad. Cozy worked so good for years! Made managing our rentals very easy.
