Again this would appear contrary to Australian consumer law and although we asked for a refund, we got nowhere, instead being deflected to the wholesaler & who aslo has done litttle. Buyer beware. AOL's 'customer support' is completely worthless in our experience.

Ordered a treadmill for $2300.
After waiting, One month later, I get no delivery notification or updates. To call and find out that there is no Order pending and that the item was "discontinued"
Meaning if I didn't call them, they would just sleep on the payment they already received.
They offered no remorse, or even an apology.
Brand new smeg oven was delivered severely damaged. Had already disconnected the old & organised to connect the new. Called immediately and they were out of stock (3 days after delivery); so left with no oven & to rush around trying to get one from somewhere else…10 days before Christmas. Won't be ordering again, too risky, and can't recommend the purchase experience when faulty items are delivered.

Don’t buy from appliances online. Appliances online would only replace within 14 days, afterwards you have to go through to supplier for warranty. Too risky for higher priced purchases particularly before Christmas.

A warning for others planning on using this company. If your product is not in stock then you face some pretty terrible customer service.
- Ordered fridge in March with ETA for delivery in May.
- 3 days before delivery, advised they have no ETA on delivery, but still selling the product online with an ETA.
- Could not offer any compatible replacement product i. E. offered another fridge if I pay an extra $350 that requires plumbing, whereas the original did not, or offered another fridge with a $25 discount on the marked price but I still need to pay another $350. I asked for alternative fridges and they couldn't be bothered looking.
- Customer service personnel had no interest in fixing the situation and just talked over the top of me.

If the product has a ETA for delivery its doubtful you will ever get the product delivered (but they WILL charge your credit card)

Ordered a new dishwasher, site confirmed payment received and order acknowledged. Next day email advises delivery now 9 days later due to being out of stock. Would have been handy to know at the time or ordering so I could have ordered something in stock. Contacted Appliances on line and explained that no one would be home on the now scheduled day of delivery. Delivery driver makes contact evening prior and is not aware of what has been discussed. So in the end, next day delivery actually means 12 days later because they are unable to adjust their delivery schedule to suit the customer. Stick with the GoodGuys, they are reliable and the service is always good.

Go elsewhere, the GoodGuys, JB HiFi, anywhere but here unless you don't mind being mislead and so on.

By my experience, I would recommend any other store and consider this only as a last resort.
Phone support was initially helpful specially when I was buying but when I needed to return the item I bought it became extremely disappointing. ***Delivery is beyond disappointing***
No phone calls or sms received nor intercom used despite being told to do this in case phone call fails to ensure delivery. Phone support and delivery people blamed me for failed delivery as apparently I did not answer the alleged phone call I never received, lack of parking and parking ticket they incurred from another delivery. The delivery people left within 2 minutes after allegedly attempting 2 phone calls which I never received and no other attempts on contact despite instructions and assurances that I am at home solely for this delivery. But for all these troubles and incoveniences to me customer service said "it is what it is".

Delivery is extremely unreliable. I recommend use any other store and consider this only as a last resort.

I bought a refrigerator and washing machine from Appliances Online which was delivered on a Friday. They took the washing machine but couldn't take the fridge as the freezer was chock-a-block full of ice. This thing was so heavy, it was insane but full credit to the two delivery guys who (along with myself) managed to move it closer to the kitchen sink in order for it to thaw.
When the fridge was ready to go early the next week, it was picked up - no charge. I even got an apology for them being a little late. Apparently there was a huge traffic hold-up due to a fire (both days were stinking hot).
Service was friendly and efficient. You can't ask for more.
No customer service if you buy a faulty product. Have a faulty expensive SMEG toaster and have been given the run around by appliances online. They don't respond to emails. Initial response said it is in the hands of the manufacturer yet they admitted no one had contacted SMEG to pass on the information re fault. Buyer beware... Once they have your cash u are on ur own as they are the liason between customer and manufacturer but they don't lift a finger... apparently you are now stuck with a dud product and have to buy another.

I had 2 brand new washing machines in 2 years. The first one for 3 months and the next for 16 months. They replaced the first one and now this one is out of warranty i paid $500 for my machine and the guy on the phone could not have been ruder. I have spent over $4000 with them but I will never use them again. What a horrible company.

Received email to say my TV was coming Monday, stay at home all day, no TV or communication.
Call Tuesday, nil explanation but delivery rescheduled for Thursday, no email or text confirming this however, none the less I get a family member to stay home Thursday for delivery, never came, called customer service, on hold for 25 mins and then hung up on.
I call Friday and am told there is a "fraud issue" as "there is something wrong with the TV and it shouldn't have been advertised" is it fraud or is it faulty? This is 2 different things…. And It seems as though they were never going to contact me to let me know that my TV was never coming.
They did process refund after requested, so atleast I have money back now, but I will not be purchasing through them again.

I have bought two washing machines (on for my Daughter and one from me. I have also bought other appliances from this Company. I am so impressed with their service and delivery. The communications with them are second to none. Highly recommend this Company.
I have called many times. Been told to deal with the manufacturer. Given instructions to fix the dishwasher myself! Been refused a refund. I will call them again in two weeks to find out the next excuse. I will now have to go to the ACCC with my complaint. I have no dishwasher and can't get my money back! Beware this company!

On Saturday 6th February 2021 I purchased a Sunbeam BM2500 Compact Bakehouse 750g Breadmaker for $89 so I can make heaps of bread quickly and easily for breakfast when I move into my own unit in March 2021. The staff were kind to me and the service was terrific because they gave me a special deal.
Appliances online "promises good customers service" in their website so I called their customers service representative and they agreed to do a good price deal on a fridge I was interested in provided I agreed to pay over phone and place the order right away. And said the fridge also has a 50$ cash-back offer as mentioned in their website which I can avail once purchase over phone is done. I agreed to the Appliances online customers representative and placed the order at once over the phone.
After purchase when I tried to avail my cash back promo on fridge. Appliances online customers service first blatantly denied in written of running any cash back promo on the product. Now Appliances online customers service stating "50$ was deducted from my order"! Maybe Appliances online by cash back promo means they can deduct cash back from customers order in advance!
Potential customers please beware of Appliances online dodgy scam on customers. When Appliances online says they will give a good deal customers should think twice. They promise price beat, deals, cash back promos and good customers service but will not shy away to make hole in customers pocket! They don't honour promises made to customers not even what is in print.
Moreover Appliances online doesn't have a proper customers grievance redressal mechanism. Appliances online has no time bound dispute resolution mechanisms. All this will make customers run from post to pillar and keep customers waiting for a response from appliances online. APPLIANCES ONLINE HAS A VERY POOR QUALITY CUSTOMERS SERVICE PROMISING WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever received purchasing anything online!
Ordered a fridge from them (approx $2,000) and gave them several days of notice for the delivery day, so that I could organise time off work and so they could plan that into their schedule.
Delivery date was for Friday, 26 Nov. I had taken the day off work and waited for the delivery. The whole day and evening went by and no sign of delivery. I got an SMS from someone at night saying they cant make it cant was trying to get me to reschedule and take another day off the following week.
After speaking to this person, they eventually agreed that delivery would be the followjng day Saturday between 10am-12.
A lot of our food went bad and I wasted a day off work waiting for them.
Again I took the day off work for another day for Saturday. On the Saturday, no sign of delivery by midday. I SMSed the guy repeatedly, and no replies. Eventually I called their customer support.
Customer support tries to call the driver and apparently no sign of the driver or my deliveries. They again tried to get me to reschedule for next week. After I mentioned how unprofessional this has been, a manager spoke to me and said the best they can do is reschedule AGAIN for Sunday. Apparently the driver has gone missing so they cant deliver today.
They refused to give me a delivery window or time, so that I could plan my day better. I would only get an SMS from them at 11AM with a possible delivery window.
Basically this means with every missed delivery day, I now have to sit around for 3 full days waiting for these guys to deliver, without any guarantee or indication of time in advance. When I highlighted this to the manager, they said in a rude tone "that's all we can do, we can just refund you if you don't want tomorrow's delivery".
At this point they have wasted 2-3 days of my time, taken my money, been rude and evasive with delivery times, and still not delivered my fridge.
Absolutely cannot recommend this company. I would give them 0 stars if that was possible.
