Major health issue unit has black mold, unit not code, no fire damper in return, return ductwork not ducted in, open receptacle not code where ac drains are draining. System is oversized for squat footage it should only be a 1.5ton not a 2ton and where the returns is not ducted in system doesn't remove the heat and humidity out peoples. The drains have been reworked going into the open receptacle but the open receptacle is not code where it's tied into shower. Owner of property states while in unit the vents are not ducted and should be and this is a known issue and they will not fix. Black mold can cause death and for the amount of money paid for rent we should not have to put our lives at risk for owners who won't correct issue it should have never passed inspection. There is an open case with Lexington code enforcement. Anyone who currently lives here is advised to have your unit checked out by someone not from Ashton Park as you can see owners will not fix and lie about current issues.
Video of owner of property with maintenance worker in my unit stating air vents not ducted can be uploaded as it is to large but anyone who wants a copy please respond and I will email or can text to anyone who wants. I do not recommend renting here and if you do please get your unit checked for these issues you health is in danger. We know of at least 3 units that are like this.
