Just got told my unlimited service was almost full and I also had reps that lied to me.i was supposed to get a free replacement cell phone, than I was told I would have to pay 30 bucks. The service is slow, and just not happy with this.
I've been trying to get a new cell. Waiting and waiting they now want money. Told it would be free.
Assurance wireless has consistently provided the worst customer service I have ever received. I have had the same problem for over a year and have called their customer service twice a month. The call center is pathetic and just wants to get you off the line. STAY AWAY.
They have a man in Lorain ohio stealing people's information! I call customer service and ask to speak with someone who would be able to locate who their worker is and this foreigner told me "it's not my worker it's you"! I'm unable to use my credit because the man that signed me up keeps transferring it to other people! He's charging $10 to anyone who is not eligible to receive the free phone! ONLY WAY TO GET THE PHONE WITHOUT BEING ELIGIBLE IS TO USE SOMEONE WHO IS ELIGIBLE!
I was approved, got an approval letter, and its been over a month, haven't received a phone. On top of all this crap, Ive called numerous times to assurance wireless and they are rude, give me the runaround, hang up on me, even the managers hang up. They lied several times. They say so many different stories. They are a nitemare to deal with.
Haf to fill application out 5 times.Said my current phone is compatible it was not. Because they use Sprint system and my phone was on T Mobile. ( same thing) They said Sim card not interchangeable. I told everyone that I talked to I had trouble understanding them and they lied to me in every phone call.one person told me I had to call another number before I could hang up phone was ringing same person said to call number he called from faster. I did and it was for a credit card application. Very sketchy I hung up. Bad customer service Bad Business practice overall zero rating but had to give one star just to leave a review.
When I called them, I was told I would have to pay 20.00 for the shipping on another free phone. I'm going to switch to metro and have my number ported over, and my ACP switched to metro.
I will NEVER recommend assurance wireless, even to my worst enemy. I wouldn't give them any stars, except i can't leave a comment without some kind of rating.
This is unbelievable, you guys were at 1 point amazing. Now not so much at all. I've got my new phone 9 days ago an NONE OF YOUR REPRESENTATIVES helped anything except help my head hurt. I have been told by more than 1 person (chi & bubbles) to name a few both said they would call me back an NEVER did. I have not one thing whatsoever to say that is positive about this company. Worst customer reps I ever dealt with never could talk to a supervisor was lied to many times by many different customer reps.
Every day they inform me I have no data left. I have been putting in $10 per day and shut off my phone except for about 5 minutes per day. But every day my data disappears and they want another &10. That is an extra $300 per month! What the hell is going on, who is allowing this robbery to take place? Who in the government is getting a kickback from this dirty abomination?
This is one of the worst companies I have ever seen. Why doesn't Lifeline pull them off of the list and find a reputable company. This is very unfair to people that qualify for Lifeline services but can't get their services to work through Assurance Wireless. I was approved and became a assurance wireless customer mid October. I finally received my cell phone mid November. I have had several problems with my account but since Dec. 16 I have had no service whatsoever, according to Assurance it's my phone. I have already been waiting since Nov. 19 for a phone since the first one they sent has issues. I received a email on December 8 saying it's back ordered and will arrive in 8 to 10 days, it's December 31st and no phone, no service.
Every other week they send me an email telling me all issues on my account have been resolved! What a joke.
Customer service is decent and the connectivity works great for me, but the phones that they provide to the customer are the worst devices ever manufactured, perhaps they do that so we are forced to buy a better model from them, which are over priced.
Im going to file a congressional inquiry into this horrible company. Im on hold for hours and no resolve
The call center sucks you cannot understand them. And why is a free american phone having a call center in another country anyway.

They tell you one thing when you open the account where money is concerned and when the billing cycle hits it shows a totally different thing! They took extra money from my account and has not refunded it since! I am suing their lying asses!
Apparently it's okay for representative's to give false information and now I'm with out a phone. My phone was being expedited and I was going to receive it today, (waiting patiently) then I get a call on my Dad's flip phone that I don't get it for 5 more days. Terrible service!
They give out nice decent phones but the coverage
is horrible i get coverage no more than one mile
in all directions from my zip code. That's for calls
and data. Also it takes like 15 minutes to download
one app no joke. If you are house bound with
wifi its a nice device to play on but for real world
needs it's a joke oh yeahh... lol when i called
at one time to ask why the coverage was so bad
the tech told me i wasn t close enough to one of
their tower s... which was 3 blocks away... he said
if i felt entitled to the '''' nice coverage i had to go

When trying to get free replacement they will go round and round for over an hr trying to get you to choose another option that will cost money... not once but twice this happened to me... When I ask to speak to a supervisor am either put on hold forever or hung up on...
Seems like a commission based customer service.
3hrs only thing accomplished my service suspended still haven't had phone shipped out...

Horrible company. Have tried several times to get phone. They sent me a phone than claimed it could not be activated it because I had another Gov phone. Which I don't. They had me reapply. Got another phone. Once again they can't activate it. So they sent my application in again. Hard to understand the employees India accent. These people are supposed to be helping people not giving them the run around.

The most frustrating times I have ever had was in dealing with these people. There's so many employees in this company that makes the dumbest person you can think of,, look like a rocket scientist next to most of these people.
I really don't believe knowledge is a requirement to work here.
However, usually after a few days of 20 or so calls, you luck out. You hit that ONE in 20 that even though they sound like the rest of the staff, they CLEARLY, know their business. Finally, you get to your desired goal. Aint victory a little bit sweeter after a battle?
Don't blame the people who although they speak English, they clearly have trouble comprehending it. Blame the Company for outsourcing their jobs to people they REALLY don't care enough about to properly train.
It's great to provide free phones with unlimited service for individuals in need, but there are many issues that need to be fixed, such as unjustly canceling customer service. I missed my important phone calls because my service was disconnected without warning. I have had three assurance wireless phones and had to call today to acquire why my phone was turned off when I use it daily. I also have reported noticing a red square in the middle top of the phone with an exclamation point in the top. I ca. Customer service didn't have a clue as to how to help. My phone is off and I am waiting for a replacement, again.
I wish I could give Assurance Wireless less than 1 star. They try to hustle you out of your money every way they can. It started years ago, when at the same time every month, they would say I ran out of minutes, when I knew it was not true. Making me pay for extra minutes every month.
ASSurance also loves to send you those cheap refurbished smartphones that goes haywire right after the warranty expires.
There is nothing free about Assurance Wireless. You will pay, one way or another.
PS I wouldn't be surprised if the good reviews are written by Assurance themselves.

Answer: No they only have 1 phone, a UMX. They don't work you can't even call Costomer Service with it.
