I got a phone from them it worked for two weeks I've called about this 4 time no one fixed the problem and I still have no phone I feel like they are trying to get over on people plus why should I pay for the company mistakes?
Not only does the service suck, but they never gave me the unlimited data, text, and talk I signed up for. I have unlimited data, text, but only 1000 minutes of talk time a month! DO NOT USE THEM! Choose another service! 100
Phone came assembled but customers need to open it up to put the battery in. I couldn't do it. It was easier to break the phone in half than it was to open the back cover. Why do you deliver it stuck together. Frustrating. No more assurance wireless phones. Too cheap and not worth the headache. Omen. Check back this time next year. God is great.

I have an O'BUMMER free phone. Great wright. NOPE. Cheap 25$ china crap. 3 gigs of free data. 5$ a gig if you want buy. I have to go OUTSIDE to make a call. Cell tower is 1.8 miles away! FUGETABOUTIT customer service. Not hapnin... I give one star for "FREE" service.
I have been waiting for my phone for TWO MONTHS. Their "alleged" customer service agents can't do much other than read a script and have little problem solving authority and, of course, there never is a supervisor available. I have been given 3 or 4 promises of "expedited delivery" and have been told my problem would be "escalated". But, of course, nobody ever calls, writes or texts AND my phone has not arrived and they can't provide a tracking number for the shipment. TWO MONTHS, 8 calls. Useless.
I made a mistake and applied for another service for another product and was cut off Assurance. I have been hung up on, lied to and disrespected about receiving another phone in which I applied for on January 12,2024. I find out today, January 21,2024, the phone has not been sent after being told on several occasions I woul be receiving a new phone this week. I got a new phone with screen went black within 3wks wouldnt power on took me almost a month to get replacement phone crappy lying customer service always said your phone is being shipped lies I had to call for almost 3wks! And note everytime I called my order wasnt processed! Well finally got the phone and low and behold on day 6 same thing happened AGAIN!
I have been a customer since 2011. I have always liked the customer service but the phone service has gotten really bad. The phone that I had when I first became a customer was better than the phones that I have received over the years and that was one of the first phone without internet all I could do was text and call but I would have kept that phone instead of the phones that I have received since. I received the phone along with a letter saying I had 7 days to activate it. After 28hrs I called, they told me my application has expired since the phone has been out of the box for more than 24 hrs. They wanted me to reapply and receive a 2nd phone. Seems like a large scam to Bill the government and still no service. It was a trash throw away phone. Can't imagine what was billed for it.
Hello, first time ordering the free government phone, not because I need it because I want to take advange of anything free. First, the phone couldn't talk its way out of a paper bag. If you want to give something away, make sure its worth giving away. Next, I can't complain about the service its free! Lastly, come on people its a free program, never complain about free. I will be sticking to T-Mobile there service, and phones are much better.

My phone broke in Oct. 21 I called to get a replacement I was adamant that I did not want another unimax phone they said fine but sent one anyway well it keeps resetting it's self I've asked for another replacement they list a number of phones on their website but the only thing they can send is the unimex I've had the worst experience with this company
Excellant service from Phillipines; cell phones conk out after 1-3 hours of use. Removed battery but to no avail

I've had no problems with assurance. I had to uninstall a few apps in order to save battery life, but my phone works fine. Our government is giving us fee phones yet people still complain. It's like the man dying of starvation that complains the free bread has no butter. I'm ashamed to share a country with sniveling, whiney, spoiled Americans!

The first phone they sent me had such poor sound that I couldn't even hear it ringing a lot of the time. The phone never notified me of incoming text messages. The screen was so hard to look at because half of it looked cloudy depending on how you held it. Finally I got them to send me another phone and I've had it for less than a day and it just shut down while I was in a phone call and I can't get it to turn back on, so here I sit using an old phone via wifi. Tomorrow I'm going to AT&T to get great service and to transfer my number back over. The concept of a phone that I can use that's affordable and functional is a myth when it comes to Assurance Wireless. I'm going to be contacting the BBB and others to report this. What a $#*! show.

But a lifeline that takes a month to arrive and each phone craps out within a month or two... isn't exactly an effective life supporting service!
Mapping has no ability to stay connected when traveling, staff refused my request to change my number to my local area code, suspended my account when a defective phone hadn't arrived returned to them yet, commented twice on my personal surroundings while I waited an hour to pay for a replacement device which should have been free, all kinda device issues more service and account discrepancies. Thank you EBR thank you lifeline thank you DHFS but Assurance wireless has not been living up to its government contract!
Literally 25 hours of calling them (and then my previous carrier) to have number ported. Sweet staff in Phillipines either does not understand or something = no progress was made. Confusing long winded phone system that hangs up on you. Agents that put you on hold then disconnected. Over and over and over. Would be comical if I weren't so sick. Waste of time and so frustrating. Would never reccomend even with free service. I'm not doing it justice. It takes 15 min just to get to an agent and explain who you are and then get hung up on or told that they ported the number, which Verizon confirmed they tried once, not 6 times as I was told on 6 different calls.
Was promised twice, giving conformation #'s that I will be up grading the garbage umx phone I had. Wasn't working proper and they took me for granted. The phones go mute. & Noone in the company speaks well English. Threw the dam thing in the garbage where it belongs... Fk them. Taking my business else where,plus am reporting them to the athoritys for being thief's,& liars
