They sound very friendly over the phone until they lie to you and completely falsify information that they're giving you and neglect to actually notate your account of what they're saying so when you call and you look like a complete idiot
Broke my phone.
Called assurance to either buy or get replacent.
Greeted by woman who was very excited to be offering me a "free new device" with better storage. All I needed to do was recertify. I did.
Called next day. It was now 39.99. Talked to manager... horrible English. Was indeed 39.99. Just needed a phone. So agreed. Key pad on their end didn't work...(turns out he forgot to tell me to push # after entering).
Called next day. Ordered phone... disconnected after entering my touch pad cc number. They called back - disconnected me again.
Called today. My account has "been cancelled?"
I already certified. And you are refusing service? I will fight to get it off the lifeline list.
I'm a nice guy... so patient... they gave absolutely zero intelligence and respect... can barely understand. Since they are out of country...
Lawsuit incoming soon... hope I guys are shut down... for the filthy cash grab... and zero service... eff off
Normally I dont yell, scream at or curse out people that work in customer service but ASSurance brings out the worst in me. They are so incompetent and stupid and they are misleading and give me the constant run around. Its always some bulls*!@ with them. They deserve to be yelled and screamed at and also cursed out! They lie, gaslight, get your hopes up high, misplace paperwork, they trigger and run my blood pressure up. I dont want to make small talk with their phony overly cheeryness. This is the absolute WORST phone service I've had the displeasure of dealing with. I've been in need of a replacement phone for about 8 months now and they make everything difficult. They push ppl over the edge I swear smh...
I have tried 5 phones in 2 months and they(the phones) erase all your numbers for NO REASON. Customer service is horrible also. You NEVER can possibly get ANYONE who can speak English so you can understand them. The phones go crazy haywire at the drop of a hat. These phones were not dropped nor abused in any way by me. Do NOT use this company!
This company is complete trash from its employees to its items. Don't believe what they have posted on their site. These people change the prices on their products out of nowhere, and then claim that they sent you a package that told about it. Another issue is their products. They give you a phone that doesn't even really work. Finally is the issue with their pish reps. It is like they are only gettingpney when they make a transaction. They approached us out if nowhere and after they finished with us, it messed up our CA lifeline system. I am very upset with this company and everything they do.
There phones are not worth a penny. I know they supply the phones but they have sent my dad 6 phones and u charge them and u get it set up and u might get to make one call if u lucky but my dad need his phone but it not worth having one if it not going to work.ot just a waste of time I really upset with them if my dad don't have a phone I can't get in touch with him I love a hour and 45 minute from him and I hate to leave him because no phone I just have to worried about him at one time it miss up had to do a wafefair check to find out if he was ok. If y'all can't send phones that work what good is it worth being no phone if they don't work..
Use another company for the lifeline service. Assurance sent me a phone that serves pretty much as a paper weight. By the time you can use the phone you can walk to the person you're calling much faster. It has taken me 2 months to type this review the phone is so slow. Use Airtalk.
Hello, i'm sorry i dont have much time to write this review so i'll make this quick. I have a $#*! -sure-lance liar-us cellphone because im to cheap and poor to pay for a over priced one at any cellphone store. Well things were going smoothly i guess until i rode the greyhound bus one day and plugged in my charger to one of their onboard electrical outlets. Now my cellphone battery is on life support "as it needs to be plugged in or it'll die" i'm starting to see a connection between greyhound, and this company just to make customers buy more chum bucket services. Yes you do get what you pay for. I didnt pay anything so that gives them the right to give me cancer and make my battery give out. I do NOT recomend this service. If i was you i would run away like dorthy did before the tornado hit the farm
Ever since I got new phone, have not been able to access the site. Wound up paying 20.00 twice this month to keep phone on, and it's a free phone. Reregistered it on Thursday, today I called because I am still unable to access site. The woman on the phone said it was registered to a different person and that I no longer am eligible for free phone. I said bull@#?" and hung up. Will not not dealing with them again.
No accounting for people who are elderly and disabled and cannot advocate for themselves! Talked to representative, who made statements, asked questions, but when I cannot understand because of a thick accent, does not repeat what he said or answer my questions. Similar experience with supervisor-Francis. Told assure that I am willing to return the broken phone, but it is not reasonable to ask anyone to stay on hold why they "troubleshoot" a broken phone that I am not physically able to get to. COVID! Told if it were lost or stolen that persons with no money could pay $39 for a replacement phone. For a phone they can see has never been activated because it does not work! Is this really worth $39 for this company?! If you can find an alternative, go w another company. Supposed to be a program for people in need of assistance, not an unreasonable, grueling red-tape nonsense process.
So first off this is supposed to be a free phone... That I payed $40 for and was told my minutes would be put on every month. End of month came an NO minutes. I call insurance wireless to see what's goin on and they can't find my name on the account even though I had to use my state card to get the phone which had my name and client id number on... And there's nothing they can do about it. So now this phone is pointless. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM
Was told I had to mail this crappy phone back to you guys. I would like no why. I hope you aren't going to give it to another poor senior that can't hear and it doesn't work but when it wants too. Plus they also told me that if I wanted another phone I would have to pay $25 for another phone. I don't think so. That's for the same phone
For Weeks they said my phone was on the way. They said 3-5 business days. After 2 Weeks they informed me No phone was coming, and that I had to Pay $65 for a phone. They Could've and Should've told me that in the beginning. Due to their incompetence I was without a phone for 3weeks. This is the THIRD time this was done to me. Which is why I feel compelled to write this review. How can an agency issuing Government phones be allowed to treat people like this? It's Unbelievable. Totally Dissatisfied & humiliating.
I recieved a ok from lifeline to get assurance. They sent phone that you couldnt type on just talk to. The recieved a letter from them stating i could recieve another program. Called them was approved. Three days later was told I was cancelled and I would have to pay $10 to get back on and it would be 10cents a minute., How can I be approved 8 months ago, then approved again for updated program then shut off and owe money.? I am on Medicare, Medicaid and very low SSA. Other reviews will tell you they did same thing to them. FCC and Feds need to look into this co. Can not put screen shot as phone turned off.
I just recently registered to assurance wireless online last November and I was shocked when I received a Samsung S10 on my mailbox last week. Apparently, assurance is providing new phones and samsung is one of them.
Assurance, this is the worst service I ever received. The phone is horrible. The cell number was bad. I turn the phone off threw it in my closet and went with another provider. People unless you absolutely have no choice DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

I did receive a call from T-Mobile after calling BBB.
They sent me another phone and told me it is tower issues in this area. No guarantee the phone would work right. I haven't switched it over from the old phone yet. Still up in the air about Assurance/T-Mobile. I like my old phone and the unlimited plan too. Hopefully the towers will get fixed and I will try the new phone and hopefully it works better. I need Good Communication.

Revvl 4 is an OK phone. Been trying to get my problem of not being able to access voicemail, 611 connecting to TMobile not Assurance, dropping calls and people not being able to get in touch with me. Been calling for 2 days the CS Dept and still UNRESOLVED. They just don't understand or don't know what the problem is. It started in the CS Dept.
Someone has tangled something up and can't undo their mix up and decided to blow me off.
I just don't know what to do. I have made a complaint with the BBB as well. Hope they can help.

I just got this phone 2 weeks ago, I only needed a phone to have a way to talk to my husband, The phone was great when I first got it and used it, I filled out a survey saying the phone was great because it was at first, right after taking the survey the phone turned into garbage, My husband says he tried to call me like 6 times from work to talk on his breaks, and the phone does not even take in his phone calls, or tell me I have a missed call. It has been saying no service all the time, and only emergency calls only, I am now switching to safe link wireless in hopes that I can talk to my husband through that company! This does not even deserve 1 star... 2 weeks in and it's a JOKE...
I have had the same wiko phone for over two years and it's not working properly in many ways. I called to get a replacement and was told it would be $28 to get another phone. I can't afford $28. If I could afford that I would just go with Walmart's family plan. I'm on a fixed income and am disabled. I shouldn't have to buy a replacement phone. What am I supposed to do. Assurance wireless is worthless.
Don't get this service! I received the free phone and it was horrible. Wouldn't hold a charge, and kept dropping calls. The customer service department, told me that I had to have another phone so they could check out what was wrong with this one. I live alone, where was I going to get that? When I called that time, the person said, "We are sending a new phone and its an upgrade to the best phone we have." I waiting about 10 days, and didn't receive the phone, so I called back. When I called back I had the person's name and date and time I called, and they told me that there was not record of that call, or no upgraded phone coming. So, I went ahead and purchased another phone for $69.00 and I couldn't hear my calls. Every time I called their customer service department, someone else would give me a different answer. Please do not get this service! You will be unhappy and disappointed!

Answer: No they only have 1 phone, a UMX. They don't work you can't even call Costomer Service with it.
