“Great little site on where to find local auctions by...”

Great little site on where to find local auctions by zip code or by where you live but I am not sure if the local auctions are all legitimate. They do not seem to screen them and just list many local auctions. Still a great place to find cheap local auctions and real goods. Better then these so called fake penny auctions but requires much more work going to a local auction and buying what you want for cheap.

After reading all the reviews wish had done earlier Am blocked from using any auctioneers on here even the ons i had been using before all because of my score in there which i have gained mostly because i chose to live in Australia and over 95 percent of the bad scores were for auctioneers not shipping to here I thought had done the right thing by using a freight forwarding conpany over there and emiled that happeing to them evenspoke and lft messages to them same answr always nothing they can do no wonder their ranking is so low even auctioneer companies i have had no problems with before are not allowed to deal with me anymore

Ive had auctioneers send me broken items, the wrong, item, never respond or ship the item i paid for, and tack on exorbitant "handling" fees after the fact that were not mentioned in the auction terms prior to the invoice. Auctionzip CS will not help at all. They will refer you to the state licensing board but the licensing board cannot help if you and the auctioneer are located in different states. Always use a credit card if you do decide to bid online as that is your only line of protection.

This site is phoney when it comes to promoting auction listings. They claim to show you top viewed when in fact they are showing you those auctions that have PAID them to be placed in the top spots! Same with the bogus Most Viewed Auctioneer. All they have to do is call them Featured Auctions, instead of lying and saying their the most viewed. It's pretty obvious. They allow anyone to list claiming they're an Auction Company even though they don't conduct any auctions. They fail to even remove those who've gone out of business. They are there simply to make money anyway they can and not as a true auction listing service. It's fine if you want to look up auctions in your area, but don't believe their baloney about top viewed!

I wonder if anyone is actually bidding against me... have not won an auction because most of the used merchandise such as the watches are auctioning for as much as new items. If it looks as if i might win a bid and actually get a good deal the screen will as 'pass' and the item is skipped even after I was high bidder. I think i will stay away from this site for now on.

I've been using this site for a couple of years-have purchased quite a few items, but the site has changed over the last 6-8 months. If you look closely at the listings and where the "auctions" are located, you'll see that the companies in the Los Angeles/SoCal area sell the same stuff, they just rotate it from one to the other. They don't have offices--they operate out of private mailboxes. When you bid, most of the time [they] bid against you to jack the prices up. In many (most) cases you'll pay well over retail. When you "win" as the top bidder, they refuse to sell to you, but if you make a mistake, they say it's a binding contract. Stay away if you'e smart

This site allows scam. Set the sense of urgency to pay for your item, threatening to ban you from other auctions. They send Docusign contract to look legit. Answers the phone and emails until you pay Using only Wire transfer. No credit card or anything else. This way you cannot block the funds after you find out you got robbed. I won a stolen car, picked it up in an empty church parking lot, by a corn field, promising the title would be in the glove box, mailed, or at the office. A person met me with the key. I went to pick it up at the office and no one was available. Emails returned stating couldn't go thru, bogus tracking on USPS return address. Now their website domain name is no longer valid. Good idea for people to scam others.

Tip for consumers:
Read reviews for length of time in business. No reviews means it’s bad. Meet in person, get repo yard address and pick up there with title. Do not use wire to send funds. there is no way to get your money back.

We experienced a very bad, expensive dealing with Junior Staggs. If you feel that you absolutely must work with him, be certain that EVERYTHING is laid out in black and white! We "sold" thousands of dollars worth of furniture, kitchen appliances, antiques, tools, outdoor equipment... and ended up with a check for $1261. 41. We could not believe this when the check arrived! Nothing was to be sold for under $5.00... yet there were 21 items/bundles that sold for less than that... two antique items bundled together sold for $. 01... yes, ONE CENT. Stay away from bidlastanswin!

Horrible customer service at addressing no solicitation request of customer. I unsubscribed from their emails over a year ago yet they continue to bombard me with emails about registering for auctions

Me and my wife love going to auctions and this site USED to be the perfect tool for finding them. Not any more. It is clunky and hard to navigate. We really miss the Calender! Really screwed up a good thing.

Eliminating the ability to search key words means the site has become utterly useless as a tool for collectors and dealers. Having to browse endless overstock, restaurant equipment, and dent/damaged auctions has rendered this a waste of time for both the consumer and the auction houses. Hopefully something better will come along quickly and put this dying site to rest.

The worst auction I have been to. The family the owner was great. Jerry the auctioneer was awesome. But Greg was rude, not caring or anything. He sold to one person in a group sale without asking to anyone else. He did an all out deal with the lady. He lied to everyone there waiting on items. He wouldn't sale any item the lady wanted. This was in Johnstown. Him and this lady are making deals because she fellows him around his auctions. I wouldn't hire him or anything he will rob you blind. Pathetic. I hope you sleep well at night you guys stole from a sweet family going through a rough time. You crushed a man and his lively hood today.

After 5 months and numerous attempts to get paid from Jody he still will not pay. He will not return phone calls or texts. I provided a service for him and his auction and he even signed a contract stating what the service consisted of. I guess the next step is court.

AuctionZip now has a new website. Everything is all screwed up. You can no longer do local searches for specific items. The auctions no longer appear in chronological order auctions in April appear before auctions in March. Calendar no longer exist don't understand why they change things when it wasn't broken. The CEO probably is not paying attention to what is going on. It's been this way for several weeks. Call their offices no one seems to know what is going on. Trying to find an alternative to AuctionZip.

Why do we pay more money to get less service. They took calendar away they keep raising fees to list and continue to make changes that burden the auctioneers and there customers that are trying to find auctions to attend. All auctioneers should bond together to convince them to bring back the calendar that worked so well for years.

Where the hell did the calendar go on the home page? This new site is garbage. Get ready for another bad review! I don't do the online auctions and now I have to sort thru a list 200 listings when I want to find what's going on Saturday or a certain day I have to do multiple more steps! And where did the 30 mile range go? This is some crap!

The revised website this week is HORRIBLE! It's so bad I'm wondering if it's a poison pill to kill the current usage of the site for some reason?

Previously with the calendar I might be able to quickly assess 20-30 auctions in a month with one little window of information. Now the scrolling list shows me only the 4-5 closest upcoming auctions that I STILL have to look through to find the key words I'm searching for. I'm already looking for alternate sites.

Maybe the new idea was to make auctioneers think their upcoming listing is getting the best local exposure but in reality, it limits information to the most active users.

I was bidding in an auction on 4/28/17 I had entered a max bid of $700 and was notified by Auctionzip that I had won the bid at $450. I called Blackwood auctions today to pay and was told that someone on the floor had won the item at $450. I called Auctionzip to find out what had happened and was told the auction house had awarded the item to the floor bidder for less than my top bid and there was nothing they could or would do about it. I don't know who is at fault, but I will not do any business with either one in the future and would recommend that others be careful with online bidding through Auctionzip.

I won an item from Weatherham Estate Treasures using Auctionzip. I have been waiting for the item to arrive and have tried to contact the auction house many times to include phone calls, leaving messages, and via email. Finally out of desperation I contacted the customer service at Auctionzip and they said that they had talked to the auction house and it was getting fixed. Still no contact from Weatherhams, they took my money in a hurry. Auctionzip apparently has no way to enforce rules for a business using their website. I will no longer use this site and warn others to stay away.

Their new site is awful, Everyone used the calendar. Now it is is gone. Bad for their advertisers and their customers. They are just taking up space now. Anyone who ever wanted to compete with them should go now.

Don't know whose brilliant idea it was to change this website, but whoever it was made it useless. No calender format. Can't see the auctions prior to the current date. Unable to search for a specific item up for auction locally. All they did was make the website more confusing.

The new format is cumbersome. I liked the calendar. I could EASILY look at just the 2 or 3 days when I can go to an auction. Now I have to scroll thru a bunch of online auctions to find the live auctions. The name of the auction is not prominent. This must have been designed by someone who has lots of time to sit in front of the computer and just browse.

I used to rely heavily on Auctionzip, but no longer. They changed the format of their 'Auctionzip Alerts' emails in such a way that you can no longer set up email rules to nag you when certain auctioneers you follow have posted an upcoming sale. It's a big loss for me, as I haven't been able to come up with a workaround. (I fiddle with it off an on, to no avail)

The new site is very confusing and where is the calendar! This is a must. I do t understand it. If I don't know an auction house name how would I ever see the have an auction going on, previously the calendar would tell local area auctions and dates of events. This is truly horrible. Sorry but you went from a 3 1/2 star sight to 1/2star. I can't even find the on-site auctions

Auctionzip should not be used if you want people to find your auctions. Hard to navigate and find what you want.
It "was" a good site. Now it's not worth a nickel. Sorry auctionzip but you obviously don't care about the negative reviews you are receiving by the hundreds.

They no longer represent the customers who helped build their business. Did away with calendar and made the site difficult for consumers. After 10 years I will no longer use this service. They are too disconnected from the platform they represent.
