“Great little site on where to find local auctions by...”

Great little site on where to find local auctions by zip code or by where you live but I am not sure if the local auctions are all legitimate. They do not seem to screen them and just list many local auctions. Still a great place to find cheap local auctions and real goods. Better then these so called fake penny auctions but requires much more work going to a local auction and buying what you want for cheap.

The coin auctions on this site are the worst. Antique Finders, a coin auction house in Washington, repeatedly cheats people and Auction Zip continues to allow them to sell thru their site. All the negative reviews on here have merit. Don't trust anything or anyone on this site. Its infortunate but true. This site charges a 5% fee on top of your purchases but provide no services in the event of fraud. Stay away!

The new site is very confusing and where is the calendar! This is a must. I do t understand it. If I don't know an auction house name how would I ever see the have an auction going on, previously the calendar would tell local area auctions and dates of events. This is truly horrible. Sorry but you went from a 3 1/2 star sight to 1/2star. I can't even find the on-site auctions

AuctionZip does promote good auctions but they don't support thier customers. If you are the highest bidder it does not mean anything. The auction house accepts your bid but can decide not to sell it. This happened to me. AuctionZip would not help me in anyway.

I have used the calendar for any distance and use keywords for at least 15 years. I have traveled 3 and 4 states to find auctions that have a tiny niche of the market that I make my living on. I have spent $10,000 at a tiny auction house in the middle of nowhere that I wouldn't have known about without auctionzip. I could plan trips and find auctions using keywords for what I am looking for with the calendar. Now its geared with on line bidding with 22% buyers premium, 7% sales tax and pay 4 times the shipping cost then what I could ship the same thing for. I encourage auction houses to demand that auctionzip go back to their old format or quit paying them to list their auctions as this "new and improved" site is totally worthless to me and auction houses will lose thousands of dollars of my money this year because I can't find their auctions anymore.

I tried bidding on a few items, but then never won, and the realized sold prices were lower that what I bid. I was, at the last minute, highest bidder on a ring, and never got notified that I won. This is a bull$#*! site, a waste of my time and Im going elsewhere.

Today is 11/13/2019 and I just registered to bid online on some cars that Apple Tree Auction Center was selling in Newark Ohio. I registered as a bidder and provided a credit card number as the site requested. When I tried to start bidding the auctioneers on line auction application indicated I only had a $1,000 spending limit at the auction. It also indicated that I contact the auctioneer to have my spending limit raised, which I did. The lady at Apple Tree would not raise my spending limit unless I sent them banking info or a $5,000 check. VERY UNCOOL. Treating a new customer like crap. Very Disappointing experience. Why did they want my Mastercard Info? That should have taken care of it.

I called asking questions about an upcoming auction auctionzip was holding where there is no probated will and is currently being contested. The man on the phone snapped stating he was paid to do a job and didnt care about the family affairs. He's in it for the paycheck at the end and then hung up on me. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They lack compassion and basic human decency.

Tip for consumers:
Don't

Products used:
I did not and will not buy a thing from these people. They are unpleasant and as a company, who says they're just in it for the money, dont care about the family and literally hang the phone up directly after?

Why would you change something that was easy to use and made you successful? Whoever the corporate idiot was that made this stupid decision should be fired. Can you recommend another auction website that is useful?

AuctionZip seems to be getting worse all the time. Taking a month or more to get your items is common. I called Zip once when I hadn't received my item a month after I bought it and I was told to give the auction time to ship it. I asked her what amount of time did they need maybe 2 or 3 months. I bought 2 guns a month ago and have nothing. They won't answer the phone and I'm left in the cold. Zip sucks!

My Aunt and Uncle moved from Tennessee to Illinois. They had over 65 years of furniture and household items that were turned over to "Bidlastandwin" for auction. What an expensive experience! They had Lazy Boy recliners that were not posted on the website until there were only 3 auction days left, and they sold for almost nothing. There was also quite a few Pfaltzgraff dishes that were never posted for auction. Wonder what happened to them? They were also charged several fees that were not explained in detail by the auctioneer. Phone calls to the auctioneer went unanswered. 65 years of items netted them just a bit over $1200. 00. They did better at their garage sale.

I won an auction for an 1864 Indian head penny and an 1858 flying eagle cent. The price including buyers premium and postage was $61.00. I paid for it through PayPal on April 25th and still have not received it. I am wondering what the hold up could be.

Do not use auction king to buy anything. Sent back product that was advertised as real thing and was actually fake. Contacted them they said send back for refund. I sent back and 4 months later no refund. They are thieves. Auctionzip continues to use them and refuse to help get refund back.

They are trying to work a extortion on an item that they said I bid on more then 18 month ago The auction house does no know anything about it and they say if it was that long ago the item was resold long ago. Auction Zip just wants the money and does not care if you get the item.

The AuctionZip site does not work very well and experiences regular problems. They don't care whether or not the auctions they host engage in dishonest practices. The Johny Ray Actions, among others, frequently engaged in dishonesty.

Purchased two items from this site and I regret it. One item was a sword advertised as having a hand carved handle and Estimate: $200 - $250. It was a very cheap sword with a plastic handle. Buyer beware!

The newly revised site is hard to use and they eliminated the best feature, the calendar.
Now to look at an auctioneers pictures it takes 5 steps when it used to take 2.
The contact form on their website does not work, and they do not list an email addresw.

Absolutely terrible changes to the site, if they don't revert it will be the end of AuctionZip. Both auctioneers and buyers rely on the simplicity of the calendar feature, remove the calendar you remove customers

I recently Bided on a Online auction. The software showed that I was in the bidding lead; there was no way to bid again when it shows you are in the lead. The bidding closed and someone else won the bid for $25. Less then my leading Bid. The Software failed to register my bid at the auction house or the auction house ignored my bid. Do not count on the online software or the auction house. It is better to tie up their phone line and bid over the phone!

Many of the online auctions aren't really auctions. Specifically, US Jewelry Liquidators (and others that they run) offers jewelry and precious metals for "auction" starting at $1. The silver and Rolex watches never actually are sold. All of the silver "sells" for $20-$40 less than the low end of their estimate. The Rolex watches "sell" for approximately 60% of the low end of their estimate. These situations happen for all silver and all Rolex watches offered. It's simply not real bidding on these items. Maybe the other jewelry is legitimate?

Contacted Auctionzip to let them know. Was told to contact the auction house directly. Why is that my responsibility? The auction is listed on their site.

Unless you've got time to waste bidding on silver and Rolexes that you'll only get if you pay at least double what their worth then stay away from US Jewelry Liquidations.

Hampton's auction is selling a ring saying it is gold. I bought the ring and after having a jeweler determine it contained No Gold at all, I received a refund and returned the ring after a great hassle with the owner, a jerk. The same ring is on his auction site again. How does one stop the unscrupulous sites? Avoid Hamptons, you'll be safe. His fraudulent practice has been brought to the site's attention. Let's see the results, if any.

Tip for consumers:
Just don't use it ever and you'll avoid becoming angry for having won junk from them. AVOID HAMPTON ALWAYS

Auction zip is a company that is basically squandering its brand on an obsolete business model using obsolete software to show popups, (basic 1999 nag screen popups) they show rotating banner advertising, which is really not effective at all, because of the nature of the software they use to rotate advertising it is clear that the advertising is more important to auction zip than the real business opportunity that auction zip appears to be "unaware" of when You look at this kind of mentation you have to wonder just what they are "Thinking" they are focused on the wrong aspect of their business model, literally they are leaving millions just sitting on the table waiting for someone to come along with half a brain and paint in all the missing numbers from this incorrectly applied advertising model. Wow, what a mess and more importantly what a waste of a brand.

Tip for consumers:
Hopefully Auction zip will begin to move in the right direction, it could be so much better, but from a B2C and B2B position its really difficult to see the value beyond a really obsolete 1999 type business.

This was my first time to use an on line auction, I was nervous about the whole process but today I am highly satisfied. I was the highest bidder on a 14k diamond ring guard/enhancer so lucky me... It is just as they described it and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend using this online auction site, I know I will be in the future.

Auctionzip.com is a LIVE auction locator. Auction listings are entered into their database and are easy to find using their Zipcode-search format. Site also has a keyword search... I try to find the items I want at live auction... before they make it to Ebay.

Bid and won a coin from KDC in New Jersey wouldn't send coin said computer error I say I got to good a deal so they refuse to send the coin and still trying for a refund. If the shoe was on the other foot I would be turned over to collection. This is fraud plain and simple. Just a bunch of crooks. Never again thankful it wasn't a lot of money lost. Also a good thing he isn't closer to me

I put in a bid BEFORE the auction and a bid from the floor 8 hours later for the SAME amount as my high bid was awarded the item. I questioned them on this and they told me it is up to the auction house which bid is awarded the lot regardless of who submitted the first bid. HUH? That is not an auction, it is a lottery.
