Shannie thinks she owns Babers. She is very rube. When we have a disagreement she will hang up the phone in my face. This happens a lot. She's nice until you are late. There's time when I call in to make a payment she has me on hold and another customer on speaker she starts to talk about that customer to me. I can imagine what she says about me every time she hangs up on me. I call back each time they put me on speaker she yells from across the room. I hope y'all record the phone calls.I'm calling corporate Monday. I will not recommend Babers to no one.

My daughter got a refrigerator from Baber's because she had just moved into a home and she had just had a baby and the house did not come with a refrigerator. I told her to get it from Baber's. The original amount was $1589 and after a year, she still owes $1489. I am so puzzled. They say it is because she has been late, but that doesn't make any sense. It is a shame that people will do anything for numbers and money. My daughter wants to give the refrigerator back, but I told her not to do it. If anything get a good attorney and take them to court. It may be a long shot, but it will be worth getting them to explain how they calculate their number. I hate that anyone has to use a rent-to-own place like this one. I feel like it is poor management and a lack of knowledge. I will never in my life recommend them ever again to anyone. The only reason it gets one star is because it would not let me post without it.
This company has the absolute cheapest products, and if you are not careful they will rent you the worst conditioned furniture! They do not back the products they rent! My brother worked for them so i know what they have and do concerning merchandise! I would advise you to spend your money elsewhere! Unless you want a sofa set that someone has recently passed away on don't do business with babers!
The most rudest an un professional people working at the one in Houston, Mississippi! Will get your personal information an run with it using your SSN, identity etc. You never get to talk to anybody in the corporate office either. Please stay away an go to another rent a center.
I refuse to rent anything else I have 2 issues with them in the past but this past two weeks took the cake...I refuse to be treated unprofessional by any company I'm spending my money at. First of all u suppose to greet your customers with hello welcome to Babers or whatever and then u suppose to lay a persona change in their hand not drop it and say thank you...that is very arrogant and unacceptable but I didn't make an argument I walked out and said to myself I will be getting in touch with headquarters. I refuse to be treated like this. I feel it's some animosity toward the issues with them before... I will be taking care of this. And I be glad when I finish paying this company in Vicksburg Ms and I will never rent from them again or advise anyone else to.someone already asked me about them and I told them don't go that way. Thank you

Rented a TV from them while I was in college. The TV was delivered and installed by them. Literally was never touched by me or my roommates after that. I decided that I was paying too much for it and told them to come back and get it. TV was in perfect condition. They called trying to say that there was a crack in the screen and that I am responsible for it but they would be willing to take another 270 for it and it would be taken care of. Screw these people, they got way more than that TV was worth out of me already.
I been with the company for four years in pensacola and they have changed workers so many times and they had two people jordan and marcus that was taking my money putting free days on my stuff and i was paying them 377.00 dollars every two weeks them was putting 5$ and 1$ on our account and the company is just bad for business

I rented a tv and 6 weeks later my daughter crack the tv. I paid for insurance as well biweekly. I called asking would my insurance cover it and they told me no only wear and tear. So I lost my job and was still making payments but my financial status got all messed up and I asked if they would come get the tv and I was yelled at saying no their not coming to get the broke tv and that I either pay them or I will be taken to court and be made to make the payment or I will even get my checks garnish. Rude right? Unpractical insurance right?
I love the way Tamera and Mr. Willie work hard to keep their customers satisfied. They both have excellent sales personalities and people skills. I have always been satisfied with my visits to the 8th Street location. Keep up the good work.

Don't do biz here, the guys that run the stores are good, but the upper management thinks they are God's gift to humanity. Pulling merchandise from customers during a lock down... cmon man!
Unfortunately I shop at Baber's because I don't have the money to go anywhere but the rent to own company. So when I ran into a problem paying my bill last Friday, they called as they always do, and I usually set up a payment or at least let them know what day I will be in, no problem, but not anymore, when I then informed them 5 hours later that they were calling me for the 4th time in one day, The manager said they were required by cooperate office to call that many times a day ever day until it was paid. When I went 3 days with their number blocked, they sent a truck and driver to my house to collect. Bad thing is I only owe $230something left on it. My plan was was to try and pay it off this Friday, but I go so mad this morning that I told them to come get the damn thing, just come and get it, if that's what it would take for them to stop calling, they can have it back. If I have to I'll start over at a new rent to own company. I will never ever do business with Baber's again. UP until a week ago I was telling people they were the best company to do business with.
