I requested Backstage's assistance yesterday with an issue, and they were quick to provide it. The issue has been settled between me and the merchant
Dr is was great a processing a refund. Fast and efficient. They even sent me a reminder to email them again so they can pay me back. Great example of customer service.

This company has no phone number which leads to believe it's a scam! It should be against the law. If they can't be bothered to service their customers, why should they be allowed to operate.
Hello Karen,
Thanks for taking the time to review Backstage, and we're sorry you had such a bad experience with us. For your reference, our phone number is 1 (917) 725-6367 and you can contact us at anytime. For more details on how to contact us please view our 'contact us' page on our website, or go here: https://backstage.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000425066-Backstage-Contact-Options
If you're looking for a confusing and inefficient web layout, beyond subpar service, and terrible customer skills, look no further than Backstage. Not only do you receive spam from "Casting directors" in your inbox, but the WORST submissions come through backstage. Half of the submissions are for National releases, which are basically one in a million for submitting for an audition. If you do narrow down the search to your local area, it sums up to gimicky song and dance roles that are nominally paid, if at all. As I tried to cancel my subscription, the method to cancel was reamarkably unclear. I was very unimpressed, disappointed, and off put with the rude customer service agent ("Stephanie") in the online chat who couldn't seem to provide me with any help other than to copy and paste full length policy articles at me. STAY AWAY FROM Backstage! Instead: ActorsAccess or LA Casting offer the best roles for actors.
Hello Victoria,
Thanks for submitting your feedback, and we're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your time with Backstage.com. I wanted to take a moment to respond to your complaints and clear up some misunderstandings.
Backstage hosts over 30,000 casting calls a year, typically less than 5% are for nationwide submissions and a little over half of them are paid. Although the opportunities available will depend on your location, as you mention, our casting team is working hard to find and post more work in underserved regional locations, so check back often to see what's available.
As stated in our terms and our help center, users can contact Backstage via email, phone, or live chat to cancel their subscription at any time. Our Customer Service Reps are in the office from 10am - 6pm Monday through Friday and ready to help you out with any questions you may have.
Again, sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your time with us, and thanks for submitting your feedback.
I accidentally pick the wrong subscription and within a short time, they were able to issue a refund and I could set up the correct one. Amazing service!
They're just not good at what they claim to do. They're not breaking the law, but they are taking your money for a service you can do yourself. Not worth it.
Hi Brooke, thanks for your feedback. Backstage.com offers casting opportunities for actors and others in the film, television, and theater communities. In order to best support and maintain this service, users need to purchase a subscription in order to be able to apply to the casting notices posted on our site. This is not unlike other sites that offer access to castings. Please note that we are not a talent agency, so actors are responsible for updating their profiles and applying to jobs on their own.
I'm just having financial problems right now but I will be back soon as I get my situation together. Things are not going right for me right now. But back stage is awesome
Repeatedly sending the same casting calls over and over... when I get casting notices they come in threes(3's)... also I would like to add I am only interested in casting calls/notices for PAID SAG-AFTRA union Actors(Movies, TV & Commercials)
