Defective Pool Pump Motor; No Response From BackYardPoolSuperstore I received my pool pump motor one day after ordering. First message sent 9-19-24: "I received my pump motor and while 'inspecting before installation' as directed in instructions, #2 states to 'check motor shaft which should rotate freely when turned by hand'. Well, the shaft does not turn whatsoever while gripping hard with my hand and trying to turn. Please advise. " Second message sent 9-20-24: It has been over 24 hours since I notified you of the defective pump motor you sent me. The shaft does not turn. I did move it slightly but the armature obviously gets hung up on stator or whatever and cannot be turned. Totally defective. In fact I think this motor was likely returned to you by someone else because of the way box is taped. I need resolution to this immediately. Thank you. Third email message sent 9-21-24: I believe the item sent to me was damaged during shipping. The armature is obviously hitting the stator or something and will not turn. Repeat the shaft will not turn around ( only slightly). I want a full refund or new motor sent to me. I need a new motor for my pool. You state your response ti inquiries is within 24 hours. We are well past that timeframe." I just returned home and I will now seek other options for resolution. Order Information Order number: AB-117345 Order Date: 9/16/2024
So far so good. Wish you would have had the ceramic bearing parts for the polaris pump this motor attaches to. Will need it to swap out motors.However, an excellent overall experence. Thanks, Backyard Pool!
More shipping information ie, ground, 2 day etc would be good to see on website prior to ordering. I called and got the info I needed and ordered. Thanks
This wasn't company's fault but delivery was made to house on another street. Thankfully they were honest people and they brought if over.
Pretty good so far. However order page locked up for a while and wasn't had to wait to complete order. Not sure if it was your site or my computer at fault.
Installed the new cell and ran the generator at maximum since the chlorine level was low and after running more than 8 hours chlorine level has not increased. Cell may be bad. How can I have it checked?
The price I paid is tremendous. At my store in my neighborhood it is outrageously priced. I won't tell you how much they charge in case these people figure they are to cheap and start raising theirs; prices, that is.
It's been quick & easy...so far. I just hope my pump motor gets here as quickly! Received the motor. The only task left to finish this project is to install the motor. I will hopefully accomplish that installation today 1/10/2017.
Great prices hopefully shipping is fast. I ordered pool shock, 12 bags, 3 of which were completely torn open so I opened up the box to have pool shock go everywhere. I won't be buying pool shock from here again.
25 years in business, these are the best cleaners on the market after a small modification in the drive housing. Have shown manufacture this modification with no success on their part to change. The worst ever! I live in a town of 100 people! We only have po boxes! I've had no problem before buying from u. This is the worst experience with online shopping I've ever had! It's taken 3 days to get my order confirmed with u. I need those filter bags now. At least give me expidited shipping please. Or I will never order with u again. I'm so disappointed since I have shopped with u before!
Easy to use, but the packages that arrived looked as if they had been sitting on a shelf for years. The packaging was completely flattened and looked ruined, it would never be put on a display shelf in the conditions the boxes were.

I was forced to use different credit card after trying to make this order for 2 days using my Discover card. After checking w/discover - no issues w/card - tried again today and order would not process with discover card. NOT HAPPY about having to use a different card (MC).
Also, had to buy local supply - a frame gasket and seal kit. Frame gasket sent was either the wrong size or had been stretched, not a good fit. The paired seal kit leaked and part nr couldn't be reconciled with any part nrs searched. I did receive a credit for the GO-KIT-3 but took several days to do my repair because of above issues and trips to local pool store.
Easy to find what I needed. Great customer service. Shaft seal was not the correct one,for my application. Luckily I found a spare I had ordered a while back. Error was probably on my part for not paying attention to what was in the kit. Thanks again for an easy and smooth transaction, start to finish. 5 Stars
So far, so good... Only issue was that the items were not packed/sealed well and leaked inside the box. It made a mess but was not excessive enough to warrant returning them. I'd like to see a better job done of packing the items and ensuring they are well sealed prior to shipment.
One of the items that I ordered was wrong. I placed the wrong order. I didn't open the package I have been trying to return the item to you as instructed in your shipping instructions. It is new, never been opened and your phone person, Sonia who I spoke to on 7/26/2016 was not helpful or very kind. I'm still waiting for a reply from your return department after your own statement claims that I would receive a reply in 1-3 business days.
So far it's fine. Hope it replaces the existing equipment correctly. I had tried to confirm the size of the panel I ordered but could not get that info. The picture appears to look like what I have. What I got is roughly the size of a shoe box and does not perform the functions the original panel did. I would like to return this and buy the correct panel. Ordered a Pool Cleaner on 5/4/16. Received a shipping notice on 5/6/16, saying the item was shipped. The tracking number indicated the item was being shipped FedEx and a shipping label had been created. The status never changed. The following week I contacted customer service and after a long wait on hold was informed that the shipping supervisor would need to be contacted to get the status. A second call the following day did not provide any additional information. A email also went unanswered. Waited until 5/16/16 and attempted to contact them again and was disconnected after being on hold for an extended period of time. The item was finally delivered on 5/16/16 by UPS not FedEx. I am glad I finally received what I had ordered; however, the customer service I received from this company will deter any future orders.
Replacement Pool Pump Motor and Kit containing the seals and washers were delivered in four days as contemplated at time of order and were installed the next day. The new motor is running fine. Thanks Back- yard Pools Superstore for your products and service!
Pump about to go out. Hope this gets shipped soon. Got the pump in the time expected. Would have received it faster however flood issues slowed the delivery down. It was still delivered in a very reasonable time.
The service was ok the shipping sucked the sent me a tracking # that gave me a date which was good, we started out hot tub on that day and it didn't show up for a week, so hot tub running no chemicals. Plus it was sent to 4 states going the wrong way across the USA! Finally got it.
Quick and easy online experience. Best prices online! The only issue I had was a piece of the plastic on the top of the filter was broken off upon opening the box. But this didn't interfere with the installation or the product working. Will order from this company again!

You said that you mailed this on Friday with a 2 day delivery. However, you did not actually mail it until late Monday afternoon and it did not arrive until Friday. Your 2 day priority mailing took a week, yet you still charged me for 2 day service.
Challenging when using a different billing and shipping address. I had to call to try to complete this order and then was told I could Paypal to do it. Would have been helpful to have this clarification on the website.

Waited too long on the phone re a question and hung up. I left my name and tel number and no one called me back to tell me that a specific part was not included. I had to go to a pool store and purchase it before hooking up the motor!
First order from this vendor. Delivery was on time and the filters arrived in perfect condition in branded (not generic) packaging, so I knew I was getting the ones I ordered. This will be my "first look" for online pool parts and supplies from now on.
After receiving my filter it is the wrong one. After I repeatedly ask was he sure it was the right one. I gave him a part number and he guaranteed me it was the one. WRONG! So after a couple days of going back and forth we figure out which one I need. Well since I gave them the pt # although the salesman confirmed after double checking so now I have to PAY to ship it back and then wait.on a refund and reorder. Needless to say I'm not happy at all!
