Defective Pool Pump Motor; No Response From BackYardPoolSuperstore I received my pool pump motor one day after ordering. First message sent 9-19-24: "I received my pump motor and while 'inspecting before installation' as directed in instructions, #2 states to 'check motor shaft which should rotate freely when turned by hand'. Well, the shaft does not turn whatsoever while gripping hard with my hand and trying to turn. Please advise. " Second message sent 9-20-24: It has been over 24 hours since I notified you of the defective pump motor you sent me. The shaft does not turn. I did move it slightly but the armature obviously gets hung up on stator or whatever and cannot be turned. Totally defective. In fact I think this motor was likely returned to you by someone else because of the way box is taped. I need resolution to this immediately. Thank you. Third email message sent 9-21-24: I believe the item sent to me was damaged during shipping. The armature is obviously hitting the stator or something and will not turn. Repeat the shaft will not turn around ( only slightly). I want a full refund or new motor sent to me. I need a new motor for my pool. You state your response ti inquiries is within 24 hours. I am ordering strainer lid for a Hayward pool pump. I am not entirely sure I know the pump model. I would have been more comfortable with the order if I knew the dimensions of this product so that I could compare it to the lid I need to replace.
I thought the overall prices were decent. The service however was less than desirable. My order was two packages but received one last Wed. But not the other one. There was not any place on my order to check the status of where my package was. Customer service was not available on the weekend so I sent an email which was answered on Monday but not until noon. This caused me undo stress due to the fact I could not talk with anyone about the problem on the weekend.
The first time I placed this order it didn't go through. I didn't want to have to put my credit card info in again and didn't want a duplicate order so I didn't know what to do. It was a bit confusing as to whether my first order went through or not.
So Far So good and getting to know the product. I would like to when my Dolphin Primal X3 is on cleaning schedule is on Led 3 will it clean every two days or every other day for a seven day schedule? You can answer by my e-mail *******@att.net

Your store did not price match one I found $45.00 less at another pool supply company online, as well as not honoring the price stated on the internet of $399.99, and therefore canceled my original order.
Love the prices and easy shopping. I are very happy with the prices and ease of ordering. Naturally when your pool pump goes out you want it as soon as possible but it got here soon enough. Loved that the shipping was free. I only wish UPS would have taken better care of the product!
I just wish the box I ordered the pool pump arrived in better shape. It was completely banged up and had a huge hole in the side. Literally the box would not stand up. It leaned over and fell in a curved position. Luckily there wasn't anything missing from the inside of the box. Also it said that I was suppose to sign for the package but the UPS driver just rang the doorbell and left. I took pictures of the box just in case.
This was really easy to order and we looked at the return policy and was happy with that so we had a great experience so far. We received our order in a timely manner and we have it hooked up and is doing great.
Overall experience was fast, simple and I am very glad I ordered from you. The shipment came very quickly and I appreciate that. I need to return a part that I did not need, so perhaps I will be back to let you know how that went.
You have a problem with shopping cart. After I logged out of my account and later revisited website, my shopping cart was not saved. I received two emails days later showing my two shopping carts but the two did not merge together. It was a hassle.
Price was right and website was easy to use. Item was supposed to have free shipping. When delivery truck arrived I had to pay 82.00 COD to take delivery. It was still a reasonable price but unexpected.
When ordering a replacement light the first person I dealt with sold me the wrong replacement. It was corrected when I talked to a service tech who had the correct knowledge of Hayward products. It was frustrating to have to send wrong light back and get the correct one. Over all this could have been avoided if the first person I talked to would have taken time to see if the light was the correct replacement for mine.
The order was easy to complete. The product was as advertised when it arrived. One part of the order came early. The second part was listed as "Shipping label printed" for several days. I called after the first shipment arrived to find out that they were waiting for the product to be delivered. It arrived the next week.
When I originally ordered a message appeared that there was a problem with the credit card. Tried again and the same message appeared - so I never completed the order. The next day I noticed two payments and credits to the card I used from your company. After receiving e-mail from you today, I completed the order without any problem.
Although the completed ladder is not in the pool yet, it appears to be exactly what it was meant to be.
My husband was still contemplating what to use as ballast in the pool side of the ladder.
When it first arrived the box was tattered and I was concerned there would be damage to the ladder but it does not appear to have any.
Ordering process was simple. I can't find a lower price on what I ordered.
The items I ordered were damaged in transit and were returned to Backyard Pool Superstore before they ever even reached me. The order was reshipped quickly.
My only complaint is that there was no communication with me about what occurred and an email I sent requesting a status on the reshipment was never answered.
I had ordered the pump and asked that it ship to my brother in Houston. His home was flooded in the hurricane. You would not ship to him so it came to me. I received it in a large box and no padding or bubble wrap. The pump was cosmetically damaged and the capacitor cover was damaged. I wired it up and it worked and my brother needed it asap so I repackaged it and shipped it to him. You did a good job on the Price and you did get it to me quickly but the packing was non-existent and it cost me an extra $40 to ship it again when it could have just gone directly there from you.
Great.I ordered the product and had it in within a week which I was very happy about that. The product I ordered was to lower cyanuric acid. I have already applied it to my pool it takes several days to get a true reading,so I do not have that,however I think I'm going to be very happy with the product, and the service thank you very much. I will use your company again
I was needing cartridge filters. I had shopped around for a while. When I found backyard pool superstore had the filters at a low price I placed an order for the filters. The filters came in that week, I installed the filters and the kids were ready to swim.
I received the part I ordered, unfortunately I ordered the wrong part. I've since have requested a return verification number via e-mail a week ago but have yet to have a e-mail response. If you could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
The ordered items were received on 11/29 and not 11/28. When the items were received, it was obvious that the box had been opened and then re-taped. Being that we received the items a day after when they were supposed to come and due to the condition of the box, is it possible that the items went to someone else first?
So far the experience has been fine. I do need this pump immediately, so I hope you'll get it to me ASAP. Update - I received the pump, via regular UPS shipping in 3 days, in excellent condition. I would definitely shop with BPS again!
Prices were good and delivery was fast but I was disappointed in finding out that the pump motor was made in China. I thought I was getting a Hayward pump which, according to my old motor, is made in the USA. Well, the motor comes with a one year warranty so we'll see if it lasts.
