I ordered caps for my railing & ladder. The process was simple. I rec'd them promptly. They look good but I have not closed my pool yet as we are still using it. Thank you.
Defective Pool Pump Motor; No Response From BackYardPoolSuperstore I received my pool pump motor one day after ordering. First message sent 9-19-24: "I received my pump motor and while 'inspecting before installation' as directed in instructions, #2 states to 'check motor shaft which should rotate freely when turned by hand'. Well, the shaft does not turn whatsoever while gripping hard with my hand and trying to turn. Please advise. " Second message sent 9-20-24: It has been over 24 hours since I notified you of the defective pump motor you sent me. The shaft does not turn. I did move it slightly but the armature obviously gets hung up on stator or whatever and cannot be turned. Totally defective. In fact I think this motor was likely returned to you by someone else because of the way box is taped. I need resolution to this immediately. Thank you. Third email message sent 9-21-24: I believe the item sent to me was damaged during shipping. The armature is obviously hitting the stator or something and will not turn. Repeat the shaft will not turn around ( only slightly). I want a full refund or new motor sent to me. I need a new motor for my pool. You state your response ti inquiries is within 24 hours. We are well past that timeframe." I just returned home and I will now seek other options for resolution. Order Information Order number: AB-117345 Order Date: 9/16/2024
So far, so good. I have trouble sometimes finding genuine Hayward cartridges - hopefully these are the real thing. Well, I received the "Hayward" cartridges and they were not Hayward - they were Pleatco. The photo on the website had "Hayward" written on the cartridge so I assumed it was genuine. I have a drainage issue in my yard and Pleatco cartridges do not last due to the fact that I have to clean them more often than the average pool owner. I could have returned the cartridges at my expense so I kept them and was given a credit for the difference in price - but only after I questioned what they sent. The difference in price for 4 Pleatco vs Hayward was $194. I do not think it would have been credited without my complaints. Disappointing first experience with backyardpoolsuperstore.
BackyardPoolSuperstore is an awesome place to buy anything you need for your pool or yard! The Superpump replacement motor works fantastic just note that there is a dial on it that you need to turn to 115V if that is the voltage that you will be running it on.
Item... price... delivery... all excellent! This is my second time ordering from BYPST with excellent results. Also tried to order pentair filter housing tension clamp, but no results in search bar... had to order from Sunplay. I will definitely continue to order my filters from backyardpoolsuperstore!
