“Pleasantly”

I got distraught and stopped the card. But soon I knew mine was protected from such scam. They immediately sent another with a hologram so as to prevent copying it. Also when I went there for current exchange or something, they recommended a couple of cash-reward cards. I am using them and pleasantly getting the cash into my account...

Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.

My last 2 years experiences have been horrible with the bank. I have been with this bank over 20 years. Audit my account see the kind of charges that have been taken out. I am at the point where I will give another bank an opportunity.

Bank of America obviously does not appreciate ANY retiree's or long-time customer's business! My family has been a BA customer for more than 50 years, with four home mortgages, car loans, etc.
We just received a letter that claims in the first paragraph that they "appreciate our business," but then says it is going to REMOVE our preferred rewards customer status. It threatens to add new fees because we do not meet it's "qualifying preferred program balance--ABSURD!
We have deposited paychecks and now our Social Security checks into our accounts with BA for years.
We have been unhappy with a lot of BA's services for years, but hung in due to our loyalty with them.
They have just shown they have no loyalty to us! It's time to move on.

Words can never describe how horrible this bank is. Steal your money, lie to you and don't care one bit how you fee. Worst bank ever. I wanted to cash a state check from my taxes to pay my rent to not be evicted and they told me only 2 days and then I called after 2 days and wasn't available they told me 2 weeks. I got evicted with my 3 children. Then I put cash in to pay for my insurance and yet again they told me it didn't go through and charged me a fee and refused to refund the fee. So now my kids and I have no insurance coverage for the year. I don't know how many days I've cried dealing with this bank. Not to mention I'm 7 months pregnant. This bank I put faith in has destroyed me mentally and physically.

Absolute terrible experience. There is zero leniency. I have been a "valuable" customer for over a year I originally got the card because I know I was going to specify the amount to get the sign on statement balance. Since then I have always payed my card off fully before the statements come out for over a YEAR NOW. This past week I forgot the pay on time and payed one day late. They refused to give me a refund for it being my first late fee. They also tried to rope me into another "deal only offered to our most valued customers." I continued by canceling the card and was asked if this was my first card and was treated like an imbecile. It leaves me wishing I canceled it after I got that statement credit. I should have just stuck with my discover card.

The worst Customer Service EVER! They are crooks! Will be closing all my accounts with BofA. I have had a bank account with BofA for over 25 years and, from the looks of their reviews, I am not the only one who is disgusted and fed up with their way of doing "business".

This bank decided on their own to lock my credit card. They then say that they can't verify me and if I want to use my card I have to go drive to a bank. Not acceptable. I have multiple accounts including checking, credit cards, car loan, and now all of a sudden they can't do their own required verifications so they won't let me use my own account. I'm definitely going into a branch... To close out all of my accounts.

This bank is absolutely horrible at using security as a way to take your money by allowing mistakes to continue after they say they will fix it returning the charges they then take the money back after awhile. They say they made a mistake, so they take your money back meaning they've stolen your money back from you.

If there is any way they can screw you over once you fall behind on payments, they will go out of their way to do it. Even if you are attempting to make a payment plan or otherwise work toward a resolution, they will go out of their way to cause you problems leading to credit problems. It is truly disgusting how spiteful a place like this, a bank, can actually be--during a pandemic to boot. Amazing! And no, it isn't just one person doing it, it's the whole place, just STEER CLEAR and STAY AWAY -- there are plenty of other reputable banks out there. Better yet, do yourself a favor and go with a credit union!

Tip for consumers:
Just say no to BOA. They are by far the worst bank in the history of the country. There are numerous other more reputable choices out there!

Bank of America fails to protect its customers from Fraud. When fraud is reported Bank of America denied the claim. The bank failed to warn there was suspicious activity. Do not bank with Bank of America. They failed to protect my money and will fail to protect you..

I promise I will leave a review wherever I can! I received a fraudulent email saying an account was authorized and I called 3 times to let them know that I received it an is there anything I can do because I do not want my funds to go missing. I checked my account and $3,000 was missing. The reps including fraud told me that everything was fine and did not take precautions or anything to avoid this. I will be leaving reviews EVERYWHERE and trust me I will be making a claims in court. Also all agents did not seem to care and showed no empathy! Kimberly from escalations Dept sounded so "dead" when apologizing she can care less. She did do her duties however train your employees to be sincere at the minimum. Will see you guys in court

This bank is not a good bank. Take your money out and get another bank asap!. To find out how bad the reviews are, shows me I'm not wrong. Terrible, draining and unknowledgeable employees. If this was the last bank on earth, I just wouldn't have one. Thumbs down! I'm closing my accounts asap!

I've been a Bank of America customer for 38 years. Seriously. It wasn't even Bank of America at that time. CD rates have always been lame, but the basic services have been reliable. When online banking became available I became a user, a fan, an addict, perhaps, but for the last several days BoA has failed me. I log on, go to bill pay, perhaps, then try to check my checking account balance and am immediately rerouted to the sign in page. It's maddening. Called tech support...waited several minutes...finally told the human what my problem was and she suggested changing my browser from Chrome to Safari. My cheap but serviceable laptop is a Chromebook and everything else i do is through Chrome. She put me on hold and then the connection was lost.
I am not tech savvy. If I walk into my local branch with my laptop can they fix it? Do I have to change banks for a new online banking service? Super frustrating. NOT HAPPY

Hold times are very long, you will be rerouted and rerouted and rerouted to get you to the proper department so always start your conversation by asking if you are in the right place. The menus are extensive but often useless and the recognition software often misinterprets or doesn't register. I have literally spent weeks and weeks trying to resolve something that should be easy. I didn't know it was possible to hate a bank, but I do. Even the physical banks are frustrating. Horrible company overall. If there were a score less than 1 star I would deliver it.

Tip for consumers:
use another bank.

Customer service is untrained, scattered and just a mess. Had mobile banking issue 4 mosa ago and went into branch to fix--for a while, then this check I never wrote reappeared in online. Now the litany of calls: I just wanted to report fraudulent transaction and get money back--hard? Imfuc*ing impossible: o, I dont handle that kind of fraud and ill transfer--5 mins later, o I dont,,,etc. Finally said would stop payment but rather cashed it and put my account. Underwater. After 40 years, adios mfekrs.

I applied for a Spirit airlines business card. I have perfect credit. Their fraud department calls me and leaves an unintelligible message to call them back. I called and they couldn't find the reason they called me. This is the reason I closed my accounts with them last year, they just don't have their business together.

Talk about a don't care attitude, the Vineland NJ branch is just plain awful. Tried for 4 months to resolve a issue with my deceased parents account that I was POA for, the manager couldn't care less, made me feel that I was bothering her, all be cause I didn't have a personal B of A account. Basically ignored me never return phone calls of e mails. Finally I had to get the corporate office involved. Just a very awful experience

I facilitate large purchases/loans. However, sat with Robert Marrone, Redbank, NJ Bank of America office?, And he is the worst human i have ever run in to. Talks poorly about those he thinks are "beneath" him. Sat there for an hour listening to him backstab anyone he could. Check first if he was fired or if he is in the office you are going to before doing business. I have never written a review before and only did because his words were so hurtful and obvious lies about someone I actually know well. Please forward to his boss or corporate or whomever can see him eliminated for the good of all. So far I have discouraged all I deal with to stay away till Mr Marrone is eliminated.

Tip for consumers:
Keep away from Robert Marrone, Redbank NJ office Bank of America. All other offices are top notch. Have had many respond to this post. So many have the same view.

Products used:
I used to facilitate high end loans through them. I will again once Robert Marrone is no longer with them. Don't be fooled he is nice when he needs to be then turns around and says the worst lies.

I've been banking with bofa for over 15 years and I have a secured credit card with bofa for over a year for $300 and in 1 year I've never missed a payment or overdraft. And yesterday I called them and asked if my unsecured credit card can be changed to a unsecured credit card with the same limit of $300 and after the rep put me on hold for 52 minutes she denied me because of a $31 charge off from kohl's from 5 years ago and I have 7 credit cards and over $15,000 in my checking and savings account... and never missed a payment for years on non of my credit cards... screw bofa... im closing all my accounts this week... straight trash... they didn't focus on the good. At all...

Bank of America has exhibited a pattern of treating their customers poorly. Their customer service department is unable to execute decisions that make common sense in relation to customer concerns. Their customer service representatives display a lack of empathy and disregard for customers who have chosen to close all their Bank of America accounts. This instance highlight a significant failure on the part of the Bank of America to prioritize customer satisfaction and provide the necessary support. This will be resulting in my closing all relations with Bank of America and will never have my money circulate in their asshatery. I encourage Bank of America to address these issues promptly and take appropriate measures to improve their customer service experience.

Tip for consumers:
Bank of America was to send me a customer survey of my transaction; they did not and I don't foresee them sending this.

This is the most over- charging over bank in history ripping off the elderly on their monthly social security checks I guess the Lawsuit wasn't enough charging these fee's $35 for 1.00 and you can't dispute it really. Taking monies and using the system to rob the elderly by electronically charging the small amounts first and pushing the larger charges back. For example I woke up on payday made a payment to my loan early in the morning my loan was paid last 5 days later making it look like my account was overdrawn when it was time to pay my loan this is a new way the system is robbing the elderly and I'm going to contact the State and find out what to do I'm this bank is robbing US. A Better Business bureau is my next stop

Bank of America tend to has light you. I have been with bank of america for 8 years, and they traferred my money from my account to an to my savings account that became -$160,000 over night. They also took a few gra. Fromm husband's account. I'm upset because the negative account mysteriously showed up on my account. B of A left me moneyless, and still had the audacity to tell me I had to pay off the remaining balance, which is $14,000. I do. Ot recommend Bank of America. They are very sneaky with our money. They also don't care for their customers. #bankofamerica are imposters. Now I have to start from scratch to get to where I was with my income. I will be filing a police report

Bank of America is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I was with them for 4 years until I had enough. Their customer service online, on the phone and in the branch is horrible. I closed my account today and I am going to Chase. BoA doesn't care about the small guy. I had $7K in my checking. Maybe if I had $700K they would handle my account better. Fir 2 weeks I have had issues with my account. Yesterday I spent over 2 hours on the phone and the ultimate answer was that I needed to go into a branch. I searched hard and found one open only for them to tell me that I had to call the 800 number. Then and there I chose to close my account. Not one employee tried to keep my business. Stay away from this bank.

In my City, BofA has shorten hours of operation, 10-4, and most branches not open on Wednesday. Does banking stop on Wednesday? All other businesses are back open after Covid but sadly BofA is leaving us behind. I probably will have to leave BofA behind.

I have a $5,000 credit limit credit card with Bank of America, and I make all of my monthly purchases with this card, and I pay off my balances in full each month. I've been doing this for many, many years and I never incur a penalty. Thats why Bank of America has my loyalty.

The loan was paid off on June 20th and the lien release and title was received on July 10th. 21 days to receive a title and my buyer waiting the whole time expecting to have a title in 8-10 days. Why wouldn't a bank like this at the very least send important documents via Fedex or some other legitimate way? Paying close to $4000 on this loan before it was paid off, you would think there would be more thought. Before this happened I really thought about opening a checking and savings account because of the branches available in our area. Not now, not ever!
