I got distraught and stopped the card. But soon I knew mine was protected from such scam. They immediately sent another with a hologram so as to prevent copying it. Also when I went there for current exchange or something, they recommended a couple of cash-reward cards. I am using them and pleasantly getting the cash into my account...
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
I am pissed from this company. A new credit card was mailed to me unexpectedly. Confirming that the credit card number I typed in was correct took ONE HOUR. All the robot does it tell me my number is now activated. Very hard to find a human being. THE ROBOTS on several phone numbers I tried ARE NO HELP. On the phone I repeated "Agent", I typed in my number, yet the robot never gave me a human despite me asking. It even said that to send me to an agent, it needs my card number. But then I gave my number and it repeated that my number went through without ever telling me the digits. I tried doing things in different orders and kept asking for a human being to confirm that the number I typed in was correct but no success. If I purchase something and I'm charged for not updating the card, I will sue Bank of America! The company should have a human being representative or agent on every phone number to help in my opinion.
Tip for consumers:
Bank of America is rated low by many people. I recommend that people use a different company. I plan on doing this.
I transfered money to my BofA account. It was mistake that the account was not verified. Still BofA rejected to return money, ignored requests from the sender bank, and avoid to communicate with customers on this problem. It unworthy behavior.
Costumer services is what does it for me they act like they paying me they 9 times out of 10 the person you get is not going to be pleasant. They steal your money act like they paid for something than you have to get them the proof. I'm just saying they don't work for me
Do not bank with BofA. Their check hold policies and practices are unreasonably long. They do not honor the hold stated on your receipt. Your deposit can be flagged by their system as high risk and then additional holds are placed. They do not tell you that though until after the fact. Even if you call and complain, they will just tell you there is nothing they can do. Checks clear in 3 to 5 business days, so a hold of 10 days is extensive. Most other banks will release at least $100 to $200 right away, and then the remainder in the next few days. Not Bank of America though. Stay away if you want your money in a timely manner! If this has happened to you, I would encourage you to join me in filing complaints with the Office of the Comptroller for the Currency, the BBB, the Attorney General's Office/Consumer Complaints, and to BofA's Feedback email address, which can be found by googling complaints to BofA.

Do not bank at BofA - horrible Bank!

Stay far away from them, they're absolute hawks.
They'll leave you hanging and take their sweet time with processing deposits but repeatedly fine you if you miss a payment by 3 hours. I took out a personal loan for $400 and paid it off before closing my checking account.
Turns out that these crooks kept an open balance that affected my credit score despite the fact that I paid it off and closed my account OVER A YEAR AGO.
Do yourself a favor and sign up at a small, local bank who will treat you as more than just a number in their system. That's what I ended up doing and these folks actually work to help me when a company (Comcast) ends up scamming me whereas BofA just shrugs their shoulders and sides with scammers.

I tried to their house loans financing and they are easy to work with. They give proper assistance and made the transaction easier for me. What I want from them is that they are systematize and their customer service is exeptional. I am happy to give them this sincere review..
All in the title. Won't honor and public gimic they promise, will charge late fees and blame you for not following their screwy payment logic which is midnight means the prior 2pm. The logic is its cruel to think a person can't just click a button from after hours during the next day for wether it's late or not. Now will they follow laws concerning disability or harrassment stating we aren't station in your state we just have branches so we dont have to follow the laws there.

Don't, set up account and immediately got a data breach alert

BofA Online shows incorrect limit and available balance for Transfer and BofA Customer Support after almost 2 Hour call is not able to figure out why. Opened a ticket but wasted my 2 hours. I will try my best to get out of this bank whenever possible and will suggest not to pick this bank for new business. BofA suggested to go nearby bank and get the help to Transfer.
I didn't pay my credit card for 3 weeks - a card I had for 11 years and they closed it without notifying me. In the 11 years I had the card I never missed a payment - missed a payment in January, spoke to people at Bank of America who told me it was not a problem, and then they closed my account in February without notifying me. When I paid the card off in full soon after, it just disappeared from my account and when I called they finally told me it had been closed and there was nothing they could do. They are not a bank for the people by any means. I've been in good standing with them for 11 years both in my checking account & credit card but have definitely had to dispute some random fees throughout the years, and more. I've never liked being with Bank of America so I guess here's my out. Definitely wouldn't recommend for anyone.
We made a hotel reservation for a DoubleTree hotel in Lexington, KY and when we were making the reservation a fraudulant company took over our reservation (HotelValue.com) without our realizing it and charged our BOA credit card for the room (ok with); however, they added 450.00 additional BS charges on top of that totalling 937 dollars. We cancelled reservation and expected to not be charged. We were charged by HotelValue.com and we disputed it with BOA and BOA said that because of the "HOTELS" cancellation policy they could not credit us. The problem is (we explained) that the cancellation policy they were referring to was the fraud company's not DoubleTree's. So...BOA does not have your back no matter how much information and facts you present to them to back it up. I don't recommend this credit card to anyone! Beware!
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you are not scammed because BOA does not have your back
The credit card autopay/bill pay/payment is too stupid compare to US bank. Autopay didn't understand statement balance & current balance. It still processed the statement balance even my current balance was way lower cause I had some return credits. And it doesn't count return credits as a payment. I canceled autopay 2 weeks ago but the autopay still went through & caused my checking negative. As one of leading banks BofA needs to upgrade the mobile/online banking. US Bank is smaller but their mobile/online banking is the best. Shame on you!
I would not even give one star to Pflugerville, TX location. Worst bank to deal with. They only have one teller working all the time. They do not care about their customers and their convenience. Their drive thru is permanently closed. Please do not give your business to this bank if you are in Pflugerville. RBFCU service is a great customer service in this location.

Bank Of America is easily the worst bank on the planet. Resolution Specialist Alfonso Acosta is the definition of a idiot. This dude denied my dispute with a merchant because the merchant told him that they delivered my package but how did the merchant have a 3 thousand pound outdoor shed delivered in a US Postal truck. Anybody with half a brain knows the US Postal Office don't deliver outdoor sheds in a Postal truck. How can you be a resolution specialist and you lack the ability to ration. If you thinking about opening a bank account with this fraudulent Institution, I'm warning you to not do it. Why would you want incompetent people like Alfonso Acosta and Bank Of America handling your money.
I have been a BoA customer for over 20 years, 2 mortgages, 4 credit cards, 4 checking accounts, business account, and a family trust. 8 years after opening my small biz account, BoA changed the terms whereby I HAD to use a debit card ($250/month). That's not what I signed up for. They started hitting me with monthly fees. DURING COVID. I attempted 3 times to solve the problem. I was told it was corrected and it was not. I emailed the CEO, marketing VP and several others. They had an assistant call me to tell me they couldn't help me. Clearly, they do not value their customers. So I am taking ALL of my business and my accounts elsewhere. I am disgusted by their lack of respect and the fact that they do not value my significant relationship with the bank. I'm pulling every account out of BoA.
Bank of America has by far the worst online platform, the worst customer service, and the worst in-person banking of any of the 5 banks I have accounts with. The only reason I still have any account with them is that my credit card through them is my oldest account and I'm about ready to take the hit and close it, I'm so sick of their online banking and customer service.
I recently junked a vehicle and recieved a check for the value, the check was drawn at Bank of America, my account is in Bank of America. However bank of America says they have to hold the check for ten days before they deposit it to my account. I understand if it were from another bank. However, my account is Bank of America and the check was from the same bank, therefore I do not believe there is a good reason to have to wait. I called the office that wrote the check and they told the money's were available. When I called customer service at B of A I was told it was on hold because of the amount. I then told the representative that I would have been better off going to a check cashing place, at which she agreed. I have been a loyal customer since 2017. However, my bucks for B of A stop here. My name is "Not A happy Customer."
Tip for consumers:
Know that any check over 200.00 will be held for two days , the larger the amount will be held for more days.

My mother passed away January 26th 2021 it is now August 1st 2022 and I'm still having problems closing her bank account and receiving the funds. I am now told after getting all the documentation that they wanted and the judges court order that I have to wait another 18 business days for them to review the judges order and make sure it's right, I explained that makes no sense the judge would not have signed in order that wasn't correct! Bank of America is the absolute positively worst bank ever thank God for that I have chase!
I left Bank of America last year because I couldn't stand all their fees and charges. I had a credit card from them with no charges on it because I heard it reflects negatively on your credit score if you close it. So, I left it opened and shredded it. I received a letter today saying they lowered my credit line because I haven't used the card! That reflects negatively on your credit! I called them and closed the card. Now I have to deal with the credit agencies. They are the worst bank. I went to Capitol one. Very customer friendly! Leave Bank Of America! I would have given them zero stars but that wasn't an option
I have been a customer of Bank of America for 38 years. My 3 credit cards are all from b of a. I attempted to use my b of a credit card for a purchase at a local merchant. My card was denied. I immediately called b of a for a reason. I was told my 3 b of a cards had been blocked. They could not give me a reason. I was told to call a b of a Dept on the east coast but this Dept is closed until Tuesday of next week because of the 4th of July weekend. So 3 days without a credit card. I will be canceling these b of a cards. I hope Chase Bank treats their customers with more respect.

Disable Vet direct government VA deposit is fraud when added to account that has little money in it for no activity for over 25 days. Because Disable Vet pay from the government is so fraudulent for our Disabled Vets. B of A must feel Disabled Vets don't deserve their money for our injuries we have to live with for the rest of our lives.
Tip for consumers:
B of A will close your account for others trying to use your account.
Then after 25 plus days no activity B of A will tell you that you might have a diner tip that they need to hold your account direct Vet deposit until it comes in as a charge even though 25 days have passed with no activity in my statement.
I guess FTC or BBB might be interested.
I had some issues with my acct. These people tried at first to blame me for their mistake. Once that was straitened out, they had the audacity to tell me multiple times they would fix it. I called back the next day and they had done nothing and still refuse to do anything. They lied to me for 3 hours over and over. The sad part is when i called back to see why it hadnt been taken care of, they called me a liar and refused to do anything. They are terrible.
Tip for consumers:
They lie to your face about everything. Do not use their services

F worst bank ever! They will constantly block your card, decline your payments etc etc! With 100s of thousands dollars on account and $50.000 daily limit they will block your card for daily payments above $100
They buy real estate cheaply with no value then sell as a forclosure these homes have no value and then they sell them in the thousands terrible service terrible bank and predatory real estate practices.
This bank is not customer focused. Worsed banking experience with no compassion for the customer. The managers could not care less about you. Had misereable experience in bank in Old Saybrook, CT. They tell you one thing and add to the list of things you have to do to have closure. They should be ashamed of themselves in the maturity of individuals who are employed. Would never have them as a partner to take care of my business and personal needs.
I couldn't transfer money between my B OF A accounts. The message stated because of an issue I could not transfer money. I called B OF A and got transferred to 3 different departments. The fraud department told me that the bank has a hold on my accounts that could take up to 30 days. I received no letter from the bank or anything. Then they tell me I can put money into my account but not take it out. Who does that? Once my funds are cleared I am closing my account. How can you hold someone's money without notifying them, then tell them that the account can take direct deposits, but I can't take money out. Ridiculous. That is my money. DO NOT BANK HERE, FOLKS. That is just legal stealing.Pitiful.Go somewhere else...Find a credit union, anything but BANK OF AMERICA...If I could give 0 stars I would...

Do not bank with Bank of America...find a credit union...modern day robbers
