I got distraught and stopped the card. But soon I knew mine was protected from such scam. They immediately sent another with a hologram so as to prevent copying it. Also when I went there for current exchange or something, they recommended a couple of cash-reward cards. I am using them and pleasantly getting the cash into my account...
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.

If you're considering opening a business account with Bank of America, find a better business customer service Bank. The Calumet City, IL branch proudly let me know they didn't offer a business line; basically get in line.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. RUN from this bank at all costs! They are thieving bastards. Took 3 of my deposits, then closed my account down without notifying me or giving me an explanation and HAVE NOT GIVEN ME MY MONEY. If they were closing the account down the DECENT thing to do would be to reject my direct deposit(s) and yet they did not and now are telling me that my "Hardship Request" to get my own damn money is "under review" and was supposed to take 3-10 business days and here we are AFTER and still no money from my account. I HATE them with a passion. Thieving a**holes.
6 days into over 1800 dollars in online sports charges that I didnt make and have no idea who tf did.was supposed to be expedited to be resolved in 3 days and 6 days in I'm being transferred between fraud and dispute departments with both claiming the other is supposed to handle, and meanwhile, the initial person assured me only 2 would post and 2 would drop off and now there are fckn 3.ALL FOR THE SANE AMOUNT AND 1 AFTER MY ACCOUNT WAS SHUT DOWN! I CANT PAY MY BILLS OF BUY GROCERIES EVEN AND THEY HAVE DONE *NOTHING*! Even worse, the only time they're open is during MY WORK SCHEDULE and It's 40 minute hold times plus for each department. This is the hugest bank in the whole country and I don't even know any human who wouldn't know about its existence. Moreover, almost all american people once have used the service offered by the BoA. I recently decided to take out a loan because I needed a new garage however I had no money. The matter was that I needed a new garage immediately. So, I applied here and got a free consultation from scpeialists. They explained me all the details and I took a loan out. Basically, the interaction with the staff remained only posiive emotions as well as the proces of taking out a loan.
Few nights ago my money was safe and secure,by time of next day coming finding out my account has been compromised by someone else made several attempts figure out got into my account,they took out way too much money.when I find out on next day I called my bank dispute about transaction on account and my bank card is shut down and biggest part of it all I have to wait for my card come in mail there delivery system is slow very alarming on delays this has happened on middle of week it's weekend still no card in my hand.bank told me I have to wait and call back on next business day I just got so angry with bank saying I am doing business I'm customer at your bank I have to wait for my money come back and call back on next business day. Lots of people been telling me this bank has awesome security system naw apparently they really don't.you get left out in cold without a physical bank card while other bank takes care of there customers much better feel like family.instead this bank they really don't care about your business nor your money been hacked from unknown person totally unfair making you have to wait, security at this bank very weak and is very horrible not good I be taking my business somewhere else this nightmares from this bank will be finished for good.
In March of 22 we received notice that our Business Debit card was being utilized at a retail location. We had to respond if we recognize the charges as we had the actual card and where home as the charges where taking place. Not only did we respond but also followed up with a phone call alerting the fraud dept of what was happening. At this point they cancelled our card and issued a replacement and we went ahead and changed all of our login info to our account etc. We where issued a credit for all the charges which where for the amount of over $2,000 of which our card was charged 38 times the amount of $55.00 huge red flag. After two months we thought this nightmare was behind us then the Letter came from BOA letting us know that they had declined the dispute. At this point we went to the bank in person to speak regarding this issue and while there we spoke with Representative of BOA along with a speaker from the fraud dept. We answered all the questions and where told the case would be reopened. Here it is mid July and no resolution to this matter and we the consumer are being penalized as our funds are on hold until they finish this investigation. Terrible Business Practice and Consumer protection.
Bank of America cashed a check I made out to my gas company (UGI) to someone other than UGI who fraudulently cashed the check at BOA. After eight months, BOA still has not responded to my bank's check fraud affidavit to see who BOA paid the check to and to reimburse me for the amount of the fraudulently cashed check - $223.00. As of right now, I'm out this money. This is a very poor way to run a bank.
Banked with them since they started. Never has there been an issue with any of my deposits or payments to vendors on time. Great website. Online banking couldn't be easier.
I would not recommend bank of America for anyone they will take your money and then make excuses of why they took it I am supposed to have a refund in my account and they will not release it to my account I would not even give them one star but it won't let me even give a half star so I recommend going to another bank

I have to say BOA is the one most self centered banks out there - Does not care about their customers, you wait on hold for a long time, sometimes disconnects you, and you get representatives who have a chip on their shoulder and rude! I would have to say in my opinion I would not use this bank. I currently have an account with them but am closing it soon as you should too. They hound you with fees, and they don't as a courtesy reverse anything without more in less scolding you and giving you a lecture. They had law suits filed by many customers in the past for all the fees this bank has taken from people. They are the WORST bank and don't care about customers---
I don't take it lightly when I asked as a courtesy if you could reverse my first ever fee on this account but they would not budge or help out in any way because I overdraw my account to get some medicine and things I needed. But they would not reverse a fee for me -- they are money hungry and very bad with customer service and helping out their customers. I do hope they lose more clients and that others will wake up to there is more great banks with great reputations that actually care about their customers.
They will rob you blind all while speaking to you in a kind and peaceful voice and when they're done with you they will transfer you to a car dealer to lose you while they sit back and give each other high fives for their achievements. You can make as many credit card payments as you want even after closing your account and while making sure you're not late by making the payments by phone and 4 days before the due date and they still posted the payment 12 days after and charged me $95.00 late fees but when you call back so they can explain the misunderstanding it's never that person's department so they transferred you until the call either mysteriously gets dropped or I get a dealership when I don't even have a driving license, the privilege to drive or the money for a car especially after they have been reaping me off for years. Today I closed all three accounts with Bank of America after 30 years of trying to work with their lies and excuses with cheap apologies. I have an 790 credit score and I recently applied for a Bank of America credit card and was only approved for a $13,000 credit limit. The last credit card I applied for had a $43,000 credit limit, the card prior to that card had a $55,000 credit limit.I suggest you apply for a credit card through ANY other bank than BoA, the best cards I have had were through Wells Fargo and USAA! I haven't been approved for such a low credit limit since my first year out of high school over 20 years ago.

Once again, false information given, no accountability. I deposited a large check, asked when funds will be available (I run an event company and have to pay vendors constantly) was told the funds would be available the next day, NOW I'm told they will hold the funds for 11 days. I will be changing banks. Not worth having a business account if you can't use your money to run your business.
And now for the bad news... they overcharge and charge for everything. Parking still may be free, but haven't been there this week.

Where do I begin. I was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.im substituting don't say anything at all with a compliment. Thank you for taking a chance with me as I had no credit not bad credit no credit. I opened up a secure credit card by putting in 300 dollars if I paid my card on time for 6 months I would get 300 dollars back and life would continue as normal, and it did until years later I had a change of banking heart. Like a good banking citizen I paid all my bills with this bank I was in good standing. Then the shoe was on the other foot I asked for my 300 dollars back and was handed off to a bank manager who said she was on my side and wanted me to get my money. I thought we were on the same side honest citizens banking or not... After some time at her desk a phone call or two, I got the checks in the mail routine at this time it's been almost three months as I'm sure you can guess no check in the mail and no one on my side, after being told that "we don't print the checks " I wAnted to say you don't print the money either but you... I figured what could be more fair I owe I pay which I did and yes I did pay. When they owned they well I'm sure you can assume what didn't happen. I really hope someone from corporate look at this review, BOA REPRESENTATIVES NEED TO BE RETRAINED! THEY ARE RUDE, RACIST, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. This is not just an after covid personnel problem, they've been like this since 2016. Retrain or terminate your unprofessional employees please. So sad when you walk into a place and know you're going to get treated bad because you're black. It's 2022 BOA, get it together already.

I've been a BoA customer for 9 years. Recently, I had some issue with Sallie Mae, who are also getting a review, where they (literally) did not process my deferment form. Naturally, I called SM to resolve that and was promised the 3-5 business day return. Great.
I call BoA. First, I get a Yasmin/Jasmin from Georgia who tells me that they no longer waive overdraft fees until after they're posted. Mind you, this used to be done 2-3 years prior. So, naturally, I'm left with little option but to wait. I call today in the afternoon and I am connected to a young man who informs me of the extra caveat that they can't waive it until they see the refund. Mind you, my account is already -$200 further down the hole than the previous amount.
With this inconsistency, I ask for an acting manager. I get connected to a young sounding, burnt out woman who basically had no time to assist (this is all after waiting a half hour for the initial help, then 12 more mins). She repeats the same line like a bored robot. "Until we see the refund." This is despite me asking the general timeframe. All this for her to finally say they do not know timeframes. Her name was Raven.
I am resolving this issue then closing my account after this. Abysmal excuse for a national bank with its squalid reputation well deserved.

I have been hacked at least three times in the last 2 years people have gotten a hold of my information. They have tried to file claims against my account using my creditors as the claimants. There's security in my opinion is very very raw. And now they have stolen from me. I am a server. For the first time ever I deposited $200. In the atm. At 6:00 in the morning. Deposit only registered $61. I called them and was told that I would have to wait for a provisional credit up to three business days that was my car note. When I went to the bank in person after I completed my shift at work I wasted 45 minutes to be told the same exact thing. How am I going to prove that I put that money in there. I heard the gentleman talking to the man on the phone that they had two tickets against their ATMs because it didn't work properly. But I still have to wait if I even get my money. They are thieves. They treat you like criminals if you're not dressed properly. You tell them you have your account information and they still have to go look it up because I'm wearing a sweatshirt and a pair of holy jeans after just leaving work. Bank of America is the worst brick and mortar bank I have ever gone to. If I could give them below a one I would.

Contacting Bank of American SEVERAL times and getting TRANSFERRED SEVERAL times and getting DIFFERENT INFORMATION most of the times has been one of the WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE! They have POOR Customer Service and DONT help resolve issues well at all, even if you stay on the phone for 2 HOURS. I WANT TO CAUTION EVERYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING BANKING THROUGH BANK OF AMERICAN AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A HOME EQUITY LOAN - DO NOT CONSIDER THEM. SERIOUSLY WORST EVER POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE.

So I take a check... my paycheck... you know the ones that they used to give on the paper... after my boss makes a mistake 1 single time in 3 years and I deposit it. This terrible review is more so for BofA as a whole and not this location but the teller DID NOT tell me "This check could be held for 13 days without any good reason besides just general security that someone out there (who I guess enjoys stealing debit cards, IDs and going thru the monumental amount of trouble it takes to get a fake watermarked paycheck with your name printed on it and taking a chance that they could cash it out the next day) may TRY to defraud them or me".
She told me it would be available the next day. The next day, I got an email that my money would not be available for use until 13 days later. Called the 800 number, they told me no one could help me. Keep in mind... this is a mortgage payment amount we're talking about here. So now, if I didn't have anyone to lean on or a great group to work for, myself and my family would be without power and 15 days behind on mortgage/rent. That's enough to change your life for the worst. My BofA trust ENDS here. I will play 1000 towards the LOTTO next time... the odds are faster money are much higher.
My uncle passed unexpectedly and suddenly so I called and spoke with the bank. They told me everything I needed to close account. So I get there with exactly what they asked for, which was Will, Death certificate, his I.D, my I D. His credit and debit card, check book and everything else needed and now their trying to give me the run around from person to person! The paperwork they done themselves and gave me is ALL WRONG, including the Case/Reference number. Didn't even sign it correctly or give the right name for who the case manager is supposed to be on this case. This is Bank of America on Centennial in Richardson Tx. The worst mess I've ever had to deal with. And will look you in the eyes and tell you something that they either really don't know so they make it up as they go. Or just down right lie to you! While another employee is feeding you a totally different story. Very poorly trained employees and No business ethics. I would not recommend them to anyone, for any reason. Thank you Cynthia Fields/Albert Shaddox (I added my uncle who passed due to the fact he was going to change banks,had he of made it out of the hospital). Unfortunately that didn't happen. But he was extremely dissatisfied with this bank!
