I got distraught and stopped the card. But soon I knew mine was protected from such scam. They immediately sent another with a hologram so as to prevent copying it. Also when I went there for current exchange or something, they recommended a couple of cash-reward cards. I am using them and pleasantly getting the cash into my account...
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
Just had a fraud situation with my CC. Yayyy BOA stopped it in it's tracks. Sent me a new card pronto...still yayyy. Then I go to use it IN PERSON and it declined transaction as potential fraud at a store I have shopped for years. It let online charge through just not in person. Called as I got no text notification to clear issue and got politician speak on how wonderful their fraud system is. Yeah... NO...I have been a Security manager for 40 + years. Not impressed at all.
Tip for consumers:
They also offer added security for phone calls - whoo hoo. They ask you for a code that they NEVER GAVE ME. Sweet. So if I can't contact you it's all secure. Fire that guy.

B of A are scamming your money. Does anybody remember about 5 years ago when a federal judge allowed a 2.5 billion dollars settlement against them due to the fact that they were changing around the dates of their customers transactions in their checking accounts so that they would incur fees? Watch out for this institution. They are always up to something. Wells Fargo also did this. Use a Credit Union..
Twenty-four days after my mom passed away, I went into a Bank of America branch to claim her checking account as a beneficiary. I was told the case would be turned over to Estate Services and someone would call me. Three weeks later and no calls from BofA, but I am getting multiple spam/scam calls everyday from people that know my mom's full name, my full name, the date she passed, etc. These are coming on the two VOIP and google voice #'s I use to get texts for my account. I never use these #'s to talk, only verification codes and reward programs. I never use my full name. My mom's name is not remotely associated with these #'s. I was not getting any spam before I went into BofA. The only common point is Bank of America. Estate Services has frozen her account and I am not being allowed any access, but anyone that throws BofA some money can get access to my mom's personal info. Beyond despicable.

I have found this bank to have a better understanding of personal needs and requirements than many (over 6 different banks). I get my amazon mastercard from them and they are absolutely fab. Recommemded.
Bank of America is part of the deep state and everyone knows it. I am sure they have ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Their unethical behavior is merely a symptom of the root cause. These entities are cancerous to humanity and must be pulled out for the root. The world is waking up to the corruption. Where we go one we go all.
I had a Bank of America Credit Card for 14 years and called customer service to inquire why my card was denied 2 times over the weekend. They needed to send me a code via phone. I no longer have the land line associated with this account so they could not help me and told me to drive to an actual Bank of America so they could update a new phone number associated with the account. The nearest location is about an hour away. I called a Bank of America and the operator whom answered the phone was rude: Why are you calling here- we are a bank; call customer service. I told him I spoke with 2 customer service representatives and one gave me this number to call and see if you can update a new phone number with this account. He put me on hold and I hung up after more than 46 minutes of being on hold when I realized it was 4:16 pm and the bank closed at 4. This is not acceptable, not consumer friendly and certainly not worth my time. Good bye Bank of America!

I deal with at least 4 banks, all majors. Bank of America happens to be the worst of all of them. They have terrible customer service, they charge fees for everything. And not only do they charge fees, but they're double most of the institutions that will waive the fee if you're a customer. As a business owner, I would strongly recommend you not use Bank of America.
Now I know why you don't have to make an appointment. Went in BOA Friday to close an account. After approximately 15 minutes of seeing nobody I asked the gentleman sitting across from me an asked "Does anyone work here" he kindly replied that he had been wailing 45 minutes with not a sole asking if he needed help! Obviously you can't close an account if nobody is there to do their job.
So you don't need an appointment because nobody is there. Tellers had no clue! (Tulsa 11th St & 169)

I received a notice that my credit card payment was coming due and then notification that it had not been paid. So, I got online and paid via check from my bank to BOA. Three days later they took another payment for the same amount.
My checking account showed the two disbursements but BOA only showed one.
I called them and got that straightened out.
Next day, I see a notice in my email that a payment is due.
It is not as the second payment is credited to this months payment.
What a confused mess.
My US Bank runs as it should with never a problem.
So much for BOA (like the snake).
The worst service i got from you on Valentine's Day. Yesterday and today. People on the line are not patient enough, they are not assisting, they're putting pressure on everybody. Most of them. People from all over the world do their jobs here better than the local ones. Come on guys! Shame on your customer service. DISAPPOINTED!

I have been a customer for 34 years, and a fraud on my account led to closing the account and opening a new one. Well, guess what? Customer loyalty means nothing. You are allowed to make mobile deposits of no more than $2K per month until after 91 days. You must wait 91 days before making mobile deposits of any further checks until after 91 days and you may do so via ATM deposits. But wait, there is more... ATM deposits take four days before it become available. I spent more than an hour today with customer services, and their response was."All new accounts are set up that way"...basically they are saying, "*&^@ you, we don't care who you are; it is our policy on new accounts.
You go negative 5 cents. And BOOM. 35 dollar charge to your account 0 costumer service! You can't talk or even message a real person anymore. All the automated options are not helpful with 0 initiatives to connect you to a real person. I $#*!ing hate this bank and it hasn't even been 60 days. Going back to cash app. No Overdraft, paycheck 2 days early, great costumer service never had issues. Im only here because my hand was forced to open a bank account but BOA $#*!ING SUCKS

I go to the Bank Of American on Westcliff Drive and Rainbow in Las Vegas Nv. I go there two times a week. And only one teller is open. Five employees was doing absolutely nothing talking to each other. Male employee with dark beard was doing nothing and I asked him why? He laughed and said, "oh well". Then days before, I had to call BOA to cancel my debit card for a new one. 28 minutes on hold and they say it's because of High volume calls, but every time I I call it's high volume. Service? There isn't any service! On elderly Vietnam nom Veteran behind me was hurting because he had to stand there, I told him to go and sit down and hold your spot. Now I truly understand why Bank Of American has low ratings! I'm planning on changing banks now!
We've had to deal with Bank of America for our mortgage and you better believe we have had to watch them like a hawk. Invalid late fees. Then they mail the statement very late. We have to have our payment in at the beginning of the month and we get our current statements well after the due date. Then they have also said they haven't received payment at all! We have had to stay on top of this as well when getting threatening letters on the mail. We call them up, prove the payment, which they know since we also bank with them, and then they say it was just a glitch. For several months they have done that. If they are doing this to us, they are collecting late fees from others who trust them. Don't trust them. I have to find out how to report this.
I applied 3 weeks ago to Bank of America mortgage after I had a contract on a house. I opened a bank account with the bank and wired my equity of selling my home. The loan officer, Michael Hollingsworth, who introduced himself as a professional with 20 years experience was a nightmare who took his sweet time to process my loan. Very unprofessional unprepared and lack of integrity. I could not get a hold of him for days and never answer his phone but always go to voicemail. After 3 weeks while we have only 2 weeks to close on the house calls me and discussing my credit report which was all wrong. Simply he could send my credit report from day one. Don't use Bank of America for any mortgage loans and, car loans or home equity loans. They have unprofessional representatives who pretend to know but they will complicate your life. Stay away from those large banks and for sure don't do business with Michael Hollingsworth.
Bunch of slimy dirtbags. Right out of the gate they talk about it hat they can do for you and everything they got to offer. But once they find out your just there to take care of what you need to do, which in my case was a disability claim all of a sudden everything is a problem. Very bad attitudes piss poor service. I was at 4 different locations since I've started this, and the same there's nothing in it for me attitude at everyone of them.
Bank of America messaged me that a hotel stay that we booked online was declined said to redo the transaction. I rebooked hotel online. 2 charges show up on card. Now Bank of America will not refund me and neither will the booking sights.(non refundable) The bank should have never paid the one they said they declined! But they did! Now they wont refund my account. Branch manager and relationship specialist at the bank in Zephyr hills Florida both say I should be refunded, but manager says he cant because it a different dept. Looks like big corp beats down the small guy again. What a joke!
I like this bank. I've had two other banks before and now I keep my accounts with just BOA. I recommend that you must be responsible and get well informed about your accounts. Check them online frequently, set up your balance and other options alerts to you phone, and you will be more than ok. If you don't like fees, don't transfer from your savings more than the estimated, link your accounts to avoid overdraft fees... just be well-prepared and communicate with your bank even if you are traveling. Easy...
Don't trust their letters! They sent me a mail inviting me for applying to the travel rewards card, got Credit Score of 741, got denied. If they rejected me, why sending me that letter in first place? Just for hurting my score? That is not cool.
Blackmailed me. I consider them Bank of America Credit Department a criminal. Enjoyed high interest for more than 2 years. When I paid the full amount.
A woman in the credit department said you have so many other credits can balance, I have to shout down your credit card or lower your interest. Then lower the credit limit by 80%.
Are you kidding when you didn't shout down my credit card earlier? Ohh yes, Bank of America was enjoying my blood earning money high interest.
I will never recommend Bank for America to anyone in a million years. They are thugs. They put my running business in Jeopardy.
Imagine, you are working hard to pay the dues, and regardless you have a normal life or not, Bank of America enjoy your interest and closed your account or lower the credit limit and destroy your business.
Shame!
The account minimum balance rule ($1500 daily) and associated fee was a bit confusing. I was charged a fee, called the specialist and was unable to get the refund. I honestly do not know whats the benefit of BoA when compare to other banks who offer more perks/benefits and credit card rewards.
I would advise consider other bank if you have reasonable ATMs neareby your location.
Thanks
Tip for consumers:
Consider other bank
Seems like every time I have tried to do business with them it ends up being about the same experience as going to the DMV or a root canal. Both very painful and something you hope to never experience again. I know they are one the too big to fail banks, but it as if if the people that work at the local branches could careless whether you actually even want to do business with them. They are still in the Dinosaur Age of Banking and not adapting to the changes Millenials are demanding. Hope they realize that soon and start to make a culture shift and really want to serve their customers.
Bank of America is the worst. I've been banking with them since 2009. They decided to close my accounts today unbeknownst to me. My social security check was just deposited yesterday then they closed it today. I went down to one of the financial centers because I wasn't getting anywhere on the phone. No one seems to know why my account was closed. However, expect me to wait to get my money out that was just deposited into the account yesterday. So now my rent can't be paid & I explained that as well. They don't care! A total nightmare all of this is. I was warned by so many people that this was done to but I continued to bank with them anyway. They loyalty to their customers is non existing. Stay far away!
BOA wasted our time & effort in trying to get a HELOC, by requesting hundreds of pages of documents sent to them, and many were irrelevant. Then they wanted more papers, and then still more. They were never satisfied. We Finally gave up, when we realized they never intended to give us a HELOC, in the first place. Being out of debt, with a good income, & 820 credit score didn't matter to them. Maybe they only want all your information. Don't let them waste your time, & steal your info.
