I got distraught and stopped the card. But soon I knew mine was protected from such scam. They immediately sent another with a hologram so as to prevent copying it. Also when I went there for current exchange or something, they recommended a couple of cash-reward cards. I am using them and pleasantly getting the cash into my account...
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
I requested forex from Bank of America for an international travel. They sent me torn notes, after I paid for home delivery owing to the impending travel date. When I called their customer care, they showed me attitude and told me that they never send damaged notes. As a favor apparently, to exchange the damaged notes, they told me to visit xyz branch. So, I paid for shipping, you deliver me damaged goods and have the gall of telling me to roam around the city to get service? Worst forex service ever.

Long lines and usually only (1) teller. They closed their drive thur, forcing customers to get out of car, which for some people is very inconvienient; if youre "elderly", or "disabled", they dont care. I'm glad I bank with Regions!
In settling a parents estate we have found Bank of America to be extremely difficult to work with from insurance policies to investments. They are very segregated and can't communicate between specialties. The investments "professionals" are full of promises to assist with distributing insurance funds but do not actually follow thru with these promises. I had to state "according to my attorney" more than once and was given an argument promoting me to point out all the information they had been provided with and when before they decided to provide necessary paper work. Merrill, a division of BofA, sometimes uses their systems but doesn't recognize their forms even though both sets say Bank of America. Additionally, We were provided with incorrect forms after being told the BofA ones couldn't be used and yes we are still waiting for them to finalize a process that started more than the months ago.
Very negative experiences with BofA. My most recent one involved trying to transfer funds out of my account. Without warning, they blocked my account. Why? I was doing nothing wrong, not transferring too much out, or anything else that should cause a problem. After 10 days, I was able to unblock the account, but still could not make the transfer. Many calls and emails, taking much time, did nothing to resolve the problem. And they just said there was nothing else they would do to solve the problem.
They "decided" to close our business accounts that we have had for 20 years, and snail mailed us the letters, giving us 21 days from the date of the letter to wrap things up! Took us a week to get them. They screwed us bigtime, we had payroll checks bouncing, bills we couldn't pay, wouldn't give us access to our own money. What a disgusting company... I hope anyone reading this will realize the name is a joke, they are not America's bank... they treat their customers horrible we will never bank there again. When trying to resolve our issues, most locations were closed, couldn't help us, required an appointment, had no cash available, what a joke!

Reps are uneducated. Everytime you call they give you different information, which obviously causes confusion. Was told all Trans. That would put my balance below zero would be declined. And now it's the 3rd or 4th time I owe them 100s of $ bc their system can't decline transactions...so what's the point of the option to set your account up how you want if they're going to run it how they want? Tap to enter ATM hardly works. Customer service turns everything on you as if it's them personally not the institution. Managers and supervisor don't note when they speak to you then will say I don't have record of that as if its my job to note their system. This bank is a joke and should be closed.

Recently my account got compromised after which I gave away a lot of money under false pretenses, thought i was investing in real estates, the bank turned a blind eye and did nothing. The second I hired Payback Service things started moving, and several complaints were filed. After 2 months of email and meetings with case coordinators they've succeeded in helping me retrieve $54k.
Had them pick me up on a rv loan. I made my monthly pmt plus principal only puts every month they couldn't even handle my payments without screwing it up I would get call from them saying I missed my monthly payment when I made 2 and my normal monthly they did it over and over. I have a 100 percent never late on anything and they sure tried to screw that up. I would never let them loan me any money ever again...
I recived letter stating my account will be closed because they were unable to verify my identity. I am not a customer of Bank of America. I called the fraud number listed not once but two times the first call I was on hold for 33 minutes the second call I spoke to a girl who I informed how long I was on hold for so she put me on hold but checked back in with me every 3 minutes. After 15 minutes I kept saying hello excuse me hello excuse me and she refused to answer me so again I hung up. I called to report fraud apparently someone opened up a credit card in my name now they are telling me per this letter they're going to flag my credit for up to 5 years? How am I supposed to resolve this if your customer service agents don't answer my God damn call. At this point I'm going to write a letter and tell them if they need to speak to me they can freaking call me.

I like this app. It's very easy to use and I haven't had any problems with it. I only use it to quickly transfer money between my accounts and other people's accounts that I'm linked to, but it's also a nice way to see how much money you have or to see debits and credits that have hit your account.
I have three years with these guys. I noticed they want to charge for everything. Checks, fees for anything. I truly believe they are so popular so they do not care about the customer as an individual but, as other of a million. They do not understand when their website online is not working and even is a check was deposited in a wrong way cause of that, you will pay a fee. Talk to a Mannager they are unprofessional to speak with. They will not understand. This is the type of bank you want to avoid.

Mrs. Aienpajouh was very unresponsive, and communication with her was horrible. Eventually, my appointment was scheduled for March 25, despite my desire to do it after 28. I emailed Mrs. Aienpajouh and asked what time is my appointment; I had been waiting for a week - just no answer. After I showed up at the Walnut Creek location, a desk representative told me that my appointment was at 2 pm, and I had to wait 1.5 hours; Mrs. Aienpajouh was on vacation, and nothing could be done to help me. I left this office and will never come to them again; I am considering moving my money to another bank, as it was the worse service I remember.
Tried for 2 days to get through after 30 min on hold we get Delores, a customer service representative, that told us to call back. Delores was rude, and not helpful to say the least. You will lose a good customer.

Local bank stated payment was processed. Merchant stated declined. Called bank and held for over 30 min, only to get Delores on the line, who was rude, and was not able to provide any information, after all information was provided. She told us to call back and speak with another rep, which means holding for another 30 min.
I'm trying to give BoA and Merrill all my business (credit card, and IRA) but it has been so damn hard for no reason. None of the different service departments know how to work together and my applications for both have just straight up disappeared. It's taken 2+ months to get a credit card, still don't have it, and my transfer of assets request has just disappeared. Idk why I chose BoA, everything is so siloed and it takes hours on the phone with customer support because they just got rid of the live chat functions and don't open issue tickets? How are you suppose to close out an issue? Customer service here is a joke

When there handling your sba ppp loan they make 5% and there going after the largest company applying for it. Close and go to a small bank, these small business are getting there money at small bank that care about you!

They will charge you random fees. Be aware It takes 2 cycle for their automatic payment to go through and they will charge you late fees.
The customer support line is always clueless.

I have been their customer for over 27 years. The service is getting worse and worse. They closed the drive through in our branch. One can not walk in to open an account and need an appointment. The excuse is staff shortage. I wonder when they closed drive through before Covid, what their excuse would have been.
They are making record profit. But, refuse to hire staff.
I think that we should give them some relief and move our accounts to another bank that does not have staff shortage.
I provided in detail information about my problem and customer service rep replied numerous times call us back tomorrow. I was on hold for more than 15 minutes then was disconnected called back was on hold again more than 15 minutes. His reply continued to be call (reach out) tomorrow. How is this customer service?
I'm a widow my husband past away of last year of April and have an account through this bank, savings snd checking and had a problem of he only have his name on it but I spoke to the manager at bank of American and told me to file a small estate affidavit and sent them the dearth certificate of my husband I filed everything what they ask me for and it's been more than a they are not contacting me unless I call them, every time I talk to them it's always different excuses of I can't get my husband savings and checking money. I have 5.kids and 11 years old youngest. They are not helpful at all, this bank is a joke my husband work so hard to save all that money and now they kept giving me different excuses each time I talk to them they ask for documentation one by one not giving all what I needed now is more than a year they are still looking for more excuses.?

I had lost my money through the bank of America zelle link. Though Bank of America has located the money, they denied my claim stating I did this to myself. I've been a customer for 18 years and never had fraud like this. Not sure how the bank feels justified in not being loyal to their long term customers.
Do not get a Bank of America Visa. They will drop you at their convenience, because of "business decisions" no matter if you've paid your account monthly in full, have a stellar credit rating and not even close to the meeting the credit limit. They are ruthless for no reason. Additionally they will reclaim any reward points. I had over 150 reward points. They cancelled my card for "business reasons", then reclaimed my reward points. I called to ask why my card was canceled. They would only state they can cancel the card at any time and do not have to provide a reason. I personally believe it was because I didn't run a high balance. It was pretty much my credit card for Costco because they allow only visa. So, in closing, Bank of America sucks. There were a hundred other ways to handle this, but they chose to screw their customer. Never again, BOA is DOA.
I recently made a claim about money deposited and some missing because the machine wasn't working and had some problems and gave me a receipt to make a claim, I called made a claim, was put on hold hanged up and not getting the issue resolved. I went to my bank this morning and told them want happened and they said keep calling the claims office and still I'm being put on hold. I am disappointed in how bank of America treated customers who put money into a bank thinking when they have issues they would help them and let them continue to have a great experience but no employees working acting very rude because I guess it not their concern if it's not thier money
I don't bank there and never will. I had a check written to me and went there to cash it, the teller said since I was not a customer it was over the limit, I asked what the limit was, I'd go have the place write me two smaller checks. He said he could not disclose that information. When I asked why can't they just honor a check drawn on their bank and presented to them for payment he said he was done and actually turned and walked away from the counter. I will never use Bank of America
