I got distraught and stopped the card. But soon I knew mine was protected from such scam. They immediately sent another with a hologram so as to prevent copying it. Also when I went there for current exchange or something, they recommended a couple of cash-reward cards. I am using them and pleasantly getting the cash into my account...
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
Bank of America only cares about their institution. It does not listen to its consumers. The bank will not accept proof of fraud. I wrote the bank letters to discuss my concerns and needs. They never responded to me. Be smart, use another bank.
If I could give B of A a negative number I would. I have been trying to pay a credit card balance of $274 off in full since 2018. I was under the impression the account was paid in full and closed. Fast forward to 2022, the last person I spoke with in 2018 failed to charge me the full balance. I have not received one statement/bill/phone call from them. When I discovered this past due balance almost 4 years later, I contacted them multiple times to try to get to the bottom of it. I cannot express in words how rude and belittling the B of A representative was. Per B of A policy, I have to call 10 days after the bill posts to my account to request a receipt! They do not automatically send you a receipt. I requested a copy of the call transcript from 2018 when I requested the account be paid in full and was told that I would have to get an attorney to submit a request in writing. Completely taking advantage of those just trying to be good, hardworking Americans.

Trying to get through the answering recording is torture... its like BOA wants to punish you for doing business with them.
Just awful. I have had an account since the 90's and in the past year they have become spiteful in the way they deal with customers on the phone. BOA wants youi to sig up for their APP from which they sell your information to everyone without your consent.
Won't change my due date on a car loan. I pay all of may bills at the beginning of the month and this one is stuck towards the end of the month. Late fees and payments sent to the wrong billing cycle. Refuse to do anything about it. Now, for the third time this year, I have have to make two payments in one month and paid 30.00 in late fees.
BOA Staff are permitted to work from home and access confidential consumer information such as, #ss, addresses, phone numbers and phone carriers, spending habits etc. resulting in an alarming number of consumer identity theft complaints. Identity Theft is so prevalent at BOA that customers will spend an excess of 2 hours holding on the 1-800 fraud hotline before connecting with an associate. When you're on hold on the 1-800 fraud hotline there is a recording discouraging clients from making a complaint and further investigating unusual charges, This is a red flag. A sign thst this bank is unable to manage its case load and that there isn't proper security in place to protect consumers identities, BOA is negligent in properly satisfy subpoena requests. BOA should have its internal processes and procedures investigated and audited. BOA fails to have the proper security in place to protect its customers. They have failed their employees and their customers.
Tip for consumers:
Go to a more sophisticated bank thst holds integrity to the highest standards.

Bank of America is the worst bank out there! They scam you for hidden fees. Opened a savings account for my 1yr old in 2007 and the suddenly started adding fees 15 years later, drained account, sent me to collections for fees after draining it! We never knew about fees til collections!

I deposited a government issued check into my account yesterday, no hold was put on the check. During the night a fraud alert hold was put on the check. I called this morning to determine what happened. I can't get a straight answer, they claim they have never received a Texas government check before, I was told to validate the check myself. Transferred to 4 different departments. A woman at a branch actually got more information for me however when she asked to speak to a manager of the department that put the check on hold, she was told no. I went into a branch with the check, and ID and no hold was placed. They have now placed a 7 day hold and made me feel like a criminal. I have been with bank of America 16 years and no issues till now. I don't overdraft. I am currently looking at taking my money elsewhere.
In this day and age there should be no reason for a bank to hold a pay check for almost a week. When you call customer service the hold time is ridiculous. Customer service does not exist with staff or management this bank does everything possible to not help their customers.
I have a home equity loan with BOA. It is in the pay off period so I pay a fixed amt for principal plus interest at current rate. Each month it changes amt due, One month my amt due online and paper statement did not match. I went to the local bank and they looked up th"correct" amount which I paid with a check. One month later I get a over 30 day past due for $9 - they had transposed two numbers. I immediately paid the $9 and notified the bank. They removed the fee but left a 30 day late note in my credit report. I see it often as it is the only "adverse" report on my credit report. I get refinance letters and credit card offers from BOA almost weekly and they go straight to the trash can. BOA service has dropped below that infamous stage coach bank. Get me once but never again.
I had been a customer of Bank of America for a while and had an auto loan through them. I most recently got an auto loan through another bank and found that the rate was actually quite a bit better. When I approached them about the rate, they were hesitant to discuss the difference in rates and just told me what they had to offer. I'm considering switching from them since they don't really do anything to keep me as a customer either for my own personal bank account or for my small business. It might just not be worth it to me.
I would also like to note that their online support is horrendous; if you have an issue it is much better to go in and talk to them in person even if the issue is with the website itself.
My head is hurting while I wait on hold and type this review. I called Business Banking on Saturday to receive instructions on how to send a wire transfer. She verbally provided me instructions because I was on my mobile device and she also emailed them to me. I went to a computer and completed a wire transfer. To only receive an email after hours two days later. I do not know why they would provide me with instructions and then flag me as wire fraud.
Have a credit score of over 800 unit Bank of America. Never missed a payment with any bank and did not receive a bill from Bank of America. They contacted the credit agencies and lowered my score. I contacted them and tried to discuss there failure to send or contact me. The Bank doesn't give a $#*!. Please never use this bank. They are the worst bank to account with. They have no regard for their customers.

If a company charges your credit card erroneously, BOA will not remove the charge as promised. Every year I am charged with 200.00 charge from a company I have never heard of, yet BOA still refuses to remove the charge. They state they will remove it yet they always put it right back on my card because they do not value me as a customer.

Bank of America made me incur the false charges on my credit card with no regard for my value as their customer
In addition to having very high interest rate once the promotional period has ended in comparación to others credit card companies. You are not valued by Bank of America as a customer. I was trying to dispute an APR charge that was applied to
My account after paying off the card but never got the necessary help or a satisfactory solution to my request. After day trying to solved my issues I got tire of been transferred to various departments with not intentions to help me solved my request…

This app and the whole Boa experience is so frustrating and does not work!
I've been trying for 2 days to manually transfer funds: not working.
Had to call local bank twice and get transferred twice because of the defective auto/recorded answering system. System was not computing my spoken answers correctly. System was not computing my account number correctly. System led me to the wrong dept bc of this. And system hung up on me, too. I am at work during bank hours. And I don't have one close enough to go to a bank during lunch hour. I will be looking for a bank that has live associates only. And will quit with this robot phone system. It's defective and has wasted 15 min of my 30 min lunch break just to get in the phone queue!
I have read some of the extremely poor customer service reviews of BOA in Miami but did not experience it on this past Thursday. After reading the reviews I decided, with trepidation, to make an online appointment, arrived early, was greeted and told the rep was with another client but I would be seen next. The rep, Rudy Lugo, serviced my notary needs, spoke English and was very professional. I was extremely pleased with the service received at that Coral Gables branch! Thanks!
No one answers the phone, it is difficult to redeem points on line and I don't want to talk to Erika, who is their new AI person to talk to on the phone. I have called twice today and held for 30 minutes and still not gotten through to anyone. I think it is time to ditch this credit card. Wish I could give them zero stars.
Unfortunately, Bank of America is so far the worst and the most greediest bank I've ever had business with. This bank was on a regular basis attempting to illogically charge me a service fee on a free account by changing the rules and never informing me about any changes. To my calls the answer is always, "I am sorry, I cannot help you!", yet my money are stolen by the bank without my authorization and without updating me on any rules. I simply cannot check my account each month for their fraudulent charges. Please be careful with Bank of America, they will attempt to charge you for everything they desire and you are lucky if you spot those charges as they believe you will just never check your bank statement as many people do.

When I was new to Si Valley and stock options I took out a 1 year loan to purchase and hold a tranche of stock for one year. This point was agreed to with banker and filed next to loan papers. 6 months in BoA gave my loan to a different broker who called it. There was NO reason as I was employed, had a perfect credit rating and the stock was well above the strike price. I got No where with the chain of command and this double cross ended up costing me $250K. I was not surprised they were Marci g for the FiB. A real low life NO honor outfit
Tip for consumers:
No side letters with BoA everything has to be in loan contract as they lie and have No honor

I am planning to move my account to another bank. I have banked with Bank of America for 17 years. In the last 4 years, the customer service had become so bad, I no longer trust them with my money. To keep accounts "secure" they make loyal bank members feel like criminals. I work too hard to be treated so poorly at the bank. I am preparing to switch my account to Chase bank. Nobody wants to help at Bank of America and forget drive through service….thing of the past. Terrible service both in person and by phone.

I just cashed a check at Bank of America on Palm Lakes Blvd in West Palm Beach. Abdul was my teller. I cashed a check and I am not a member of Bank of America. He cashed my check and just gave me a pile of cash and said thank you. He did not tell me there was a fee and didn't offer to put it in an envelope. In my opinion, he is extremely unprofessional and a horrible representative of Bank of America.
Bank of America is a bull$#*! $#*! bank they close my account and now they don't want to return my money back to me they been giving me the run around every time I call them about my check. It also states when a bank close your account no matter what the reason is they have to return your money back too you..
First, they would not address you with empathy. Second, they would purely go by instructions given to them, they would do nothing to resolve the issue. Third, the issue will still not be resolved after several calls. It should be name "Worst Bank of America".
By far the worst bank I have ever had. I had a fraudulent charge on my account for over $300 dollars. There system is so slow 3 days later it says all the charges are still processing. I am now out of $300 dollars till there slow crappy system is done prossesing. I highly advise to stay from Bank of America
OMG I have been with the Bank Of America for over 30 Years and after today I'm ready to leave! Was at the bank today to re-order checks ( yes I'm old school and don't trust online banking and automatic payments out my account) and was waiting for customer service for over half an hour just to put my name on a list to see an officer of the bank. Finally after someone saw me he said you have to have an appointment to order checks. What is going on with BOA no more customer service. Before I would call a phone number on the final book of checks but no more cause the bank wants you to do everything online. The bank has my funds to work with for their investments but I can't get customer service anymore in the bank. The only thing BOA wants is your mortgage, your funds for their investments and charge you fees!
