I have been hacked at least three times in the last 2 years people have gotten a hold of my information. They have tried to file claims against my account using my creditors as the claimants. There's security in my opinion is very very raw. And now they have stolen from me. I am a server. For the first time ever I deposited $200. In the atm. At 6:00 in the morning. Deposit only registered $61. I called them and was told that I would have to wait for a provisional credit up to three business days that was my car note. When I went to the bank in person after I completed my shift at work I wasted 45 minutes to be told the same exact thing. How am I going to prove that I put that money in there. I heard the gentleman talking to the man on the phone that they had two tickets against their ATMs because it didn't work properly. But I still have to wait if I even get my money. They are thieves. They treat you like criminals if you're not dressed properly. You tell them you have your account information and they still have to go look it up because I'm wearing a sweatshirt and a pair of holy jeans after just leaving work. Bank of America is the worst brick and mortar bank I have ever gone to. If I could give them below a one I would.
Had identy stolen, BOA is the only bank allowing them to open accounts! On hold for 30 minutes got no where! Now I'm 10 in line at the branch! This is terrible, each time I come…. Line out the door….
This is gotta be the worst bank I have ever done business with you go there after going there for years and they have a sign on the door now saying we close it 4 o'clock the nerve of you closing at 4 o'clock on a Friday during a business week I hope you fail miserably and people stop going to Bank of America like I will as soon as I can withdraw all my money
We stopped in Texas on our move to Florida. We stayed at a seedy Motel 6. When we left B of A called and asked if we made a $100 debit. They flagged it as suspicious. It wasn't us so the dingbat closed our debit card and we were stuck in Tallahassee with no money. Have positive proof the motel took money off my card. Fraud Unit was too incompetent and lazy, took the money out of my account, overdrew my account and said it was still being looked at, but they do this sometimes. They refuse to credit back my acct untill I send them more proof. Condescending asses made me feel like an idiot that $100 was a big deal. Meant we couldn't buy groceries until my retirement check kicks in. We are now 6 days in the negative with these thieves.
My uncle passed unexpectedly and suddenly so I called and spoke with the bank. They told me everything I needed to close account. So I get there with exactly what they asked for, which was Will, Death certificate, his I.D, my I D. His credit and debit card, check book and everything else needed and now their trying to give me the run around from person to person! The paperwork they done themselves and gave me is ALL WRONG, including the Case/Reference number. Didn't even sign it correctly or give the right name for who the case manager is supposed to be on this case. This is Bank of America on Centennial in Richardson Tx. The worst mess I've ever had to deal with. And will look you in the eyes and tell you something that they either really don't know so they make it up as they go. Or just down right lie to you! While another employee is feeding you a totally different story. Very poorly trained employees and No business ethics. I would not recommend them to anyone, for any reason. Thank you Cynthia Fields/Albert Shaddox (I added my uncle who passed due to the fact he was going to change banks, had he of made it out of the hospital). Unfortunately that didn't happen. But he was extremely dissatisfied with this bank!
I called Bank of America 6 days ago to ask about an overdraft fee that had yet to occur, because I had a company take out an automatic payment when they were supposed to send me a bill for my last payment, since I discontinued service with them. I spoke to a nice girl who told me that I would need to let the fee go through on my account, but that I could call back to have it refunded once it went through. I called back today to have the overdraft fee refunded, and was refused. I spoke to 3 different customer service agents, supervisors, and people in the "escalation" department. They refused to help me, and did not give any consideration to the fact that I called to have this taken care of once already, and was following what I was told to do, which was to call a second time to have the fee reversed. Apparently their calls are "recorded for quality assurance purposes" yet no one would agree to listen to the call where I was promised a refund. I have banked with this company for 15 years, and they just lost me as a customer. I will be closing my account immediately.
I am honored to give another compliment to Bank of America located at ******* Tomball Parkway, Tomball Tx *******.The entire staff there is wonderful.Ms Belinda Januszewski gave me excellent service this time. All of my questions were answered in detail with her ending by asking me did she make herself clear and my esponse was yes very clear. Business mixed with a positive attitude is an assess to a posperous business. The staff at Bank of America in Tomball Tx makes my drive of 45 minutes worth it every time. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Cynthia
I have my business and personal accounts with BoFA. I will be cancelling both accounts next week. It started with fees and foreign exchange rate. Their foreign exchange rate is horrible, plus they whack you with a fee. If you deposit a check, even in state bank checks they will put a hold on funds for one week, not good for the cash flow. They constantly decline transactions on debit cards and it takes multiple phone calls to fraud department to have it turned back on. It will take up to 24 hours for the card to work again. Other credit card companies text you and have it back on in minutes. Some transactions are with merchants I use often like Whole Foods. Forget about trying to reach customer service if your request does not fall within one of the categories listed. And often when I call about transactions declined, I am put on hold and after half an hour they tell me there is no one o take the call and disconnect me. Long winded I know, but my recommendation is to stay away from this bank.
I hate this place. They're never going to take responsibility for anything because everyone uses them. First issue, I tried to order some checks, but there was no option for it. I was confused because when you look up "order checks from bank of america" it takes you to a page with only deposit slips. So I thought they were checks. Then, trackable shipping around 30 dollars, which is ridiculous so I didn't get it. After spending 18 dollars, it stated it would arrive in 10 days. Ten days my arse. It's been long past a month, so I contacted the customer service by the mobile app. They told me that there was an error with the shipping and I need to get refunded by calling this other number. I called, and the entire service was automated, and I never talked to a live agent once. This would be fine, except the automated service couldn't help me with what I needed. Anyway, I looked up another customer service number and they told me that they'll call me back. Hope they actually will. Customer service sucks.
You can't get a single person on the phone that is actually a bank employee. They try to force their online problem solving tools. I want to talk to a person. Oh, you can schedule an appt... if there is appt. Available ( a week out!) Just stinkin ridiculous that someone at the bank can't take a call.
ID ADVISE YOU NOT TO BANK WITH BANK OF AMERICA. Save yourself the a headache and go somewhere else.
Horrible customer service! Even though I am a Preferred Member, there was no real person that I can reach out to when I have an issue with my purchases. Their automated phone service is disgusting and outdated. The machine seemed to be deaf and does not understand it when I say "customer service". I can not easily find the phone number to call on their customer portal, I had to Google "how to speak to a real person BOA". The whole process sucks and wasted half an hour of my time. If you treat your customers like this no one will want to bank with you. Fix your outdated website, I cannot easily set up AutoPay without literally calling someone about what to do. Try setting up AutoPay yourself and you will see what I mean.
TL; DR: NO PHONE NUMBER LISTED IN CUSTOMER PORTAL!
Sick of this bank closing all locations close to me. Impossible to do business here. Hours are short and no tellers. Keaving taking business elsewhere. Waltham mass.
The worst bank in the whole world.
Costumer service from he'll! Its like talking to an automated machine. I don't recommend doing business with Bank of America. Don't waste your time and money
Worst bank ever. I have been with them since 2004. With a balance of over $150,000 and at times close to $200,000. So, they have been making money using my money by giving high APR rate loans to people. And yet they offered me a terrible rate when I bought my house, I had to go with a different bank that I didn't have an account with. Lately I fell victim to a fraud committed by professional thieves making it very difficult for me to prove it was fraud. $3000 was stolen from my account into another BOA account. BOA wasted my time for months putting this through fraud investigation review. They refused to investigate the receiving BOA account, or provide me with their info. The first time they denied the claim, I appealed, they asked for a police fraud claim report, I provided that as well. They still denied it for the second time, they only care about their profits and no regards to you and your financial assets that is why they throw BS at you. I am opting out and moving to a different bank. Stay away from BOA.
I am deeply dissatisfied with Bank of America and will never ever consider doing business with them again. They abruptly closed my checking account and credit card without providing any justification, simply citing it as a "business decision."
In the absence of any explanation, I am left with concerns that the account is closed because my personal information may have been compromised and used for unauthorized purposes. It was imperative that I know the reason for the closure so that I can take necessary actions to protect myself and prevent any further misuse of my personal data.
Furthermore, This checking account was linked to dozens of other accounts, both for deposits and payments. As a result, I now have the arduous task of individually modifying all of these accounts.
For years, I have utilized this checking account as an integral part of my daily routine. I never anticipated such abrupt action from the bank. It's not that I'm attached to Bank of America, it is inconvenient to switch to a different bank. The issue lies in the sudden abandonment of their responsibility towards me, as a customer. I believe that banks should not have the authority to unexpectedly terminate an account for "business decision" reasons.
I sent a complaint Email to CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) and informed them about what happened. I will write reviews about this incident everywhere and do everything I can to let people know about what happened.
I've been dealing with Bank of America for a couple years now because someone keeps trying to open an account with them in my name. When I go to try and call BOA about this fraud I have to wait on hold for over an hour just to be told them can't look up my name without me giving them my SSN! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I'm not giving them my SSN since I don't trust them in the first place, I work in the banking industry and I know how things work so them telling me they can't help without running my SSN just doesn't seem correct. I'm very disappointed in their customer service and the way they treat people that are being taken advantage of.
BOA buys up good reputable companies with growth and return and destroys them with big company bureaucracy. Absolutely destroys the working classes chance of having a decent retirement.
Ancestry.com charged an amount in excess to my Bank of America Credit card. I disputed the charge and submitted much documentation supporting my dispute of the charge. Five weeks and no response or action by Bank of America - not even a response to the documents I submitted by fax and certified mail! I understand that time must be given for Ancestry to respond but 2 cycle periods_ 60 days plus - is and leaving the charge on my account while it is disputed is customer unfriendly compared to Wells Fargo who removes a disputed charge and gives the charge originator 30 days to respond. THAT IS CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. Bank of America has earned their negative reputation.
My wife has 3 different credit cards through B of A. However, she is modern tech illiterate. Does NOT have online banking with them preferring written statements. One of her cards had unauthorized activity and she filed a claim. This particular card was used to pay ONLY for a cruise that we did in April; absolutely nothing else. She received an email informing her of info about her claim and telling her to go to their message center to read it. I tried to enroll her; no joy (their security algorithms probably went nuts by my trying to enroll her more then 3 times). Tried calling the number on the back of their card, gave them the card number, her SS number, it routed me to an agent and then it told me that their offices were closed. Twice. Went online, looked for a human to talk to at B of A, got a number different from the card. Almost exact same experience with the exact same result. At 2:35 PM Pacific time. WTF!
The worst service ever for me. I thought ATT had the worst service in the US, B of A makes them look great! At least I eventually found a human at ATT.
B of A's definitely losing our business.
Absolutely appalling, tossed from agent to agent only to not be assisted. Claimed they would check into my situation only for nothing to happen. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.
Answer: So many other and better banks please stay away from this shithole. Bank of america yup sounds about right. America..
Answer: Nobody at BOA can help me resolve this issue! Which is sad
