The recent site update makes logging into my account a lot easier and quicker. However I still feel like they should have have an option to keep the old login style or switch to the new one. Once logged into the site, everything is well organized and you are able to access many of their tools to help you save, budget, and manage your money.
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
I tried to file a claim And they ask me a 1000 questions like they don't believe me customer servers are very poorAnd the people that work for them are disgusting

BOA fails on every transaction they are involved in. On one issue I called 4 times and got 4 different answers, I went into the bank and was given another opinion that I acted upon and it was incorrect. You cannot get hold of a person at the bank where you do business. They have no one answering the phone, just if it rings and someone is not busy - and they always are. When you walk in, sometimes someone comes and asks to help you, sometimes no one come you just wander around until you make eye contact with someone and see if they can help you. Usually they can't because you need an appointment to sit down with someone. Even when you do sit down with someone, they can walk you through a bit of the paperwork, but they have no authorization to make decisions about your account - and there is no one in the location who has the authority. You have to submit a request and wait until they get around to the next round of discussions.
The situation in my case was awful and although I have some money in that bank because I was overseeing my (now deceased) mother's account, as soon as the paperwork is settled from her death I will dissolve my relationship with this bank
Had a fraud charge on my card. They took it off one month then put it back on the next and refuse to remove it. Their customer service repts are awful and rude.Very unprofessional

I accidentally wrote a check for 42 cents more than my account balance so the bank covered it and understandably charged a $35 Overdraft fee. I asked them to reconsider because it was a matter of pennies and an honest mistake. To my surprise, they refunded it... but not before slapping on another $35 fee for not having deposited the 42 cents on time. (They apparently gave me 5 days to do so and that was the time between me realizing the issue and the end of exchanging emails via their site.)
I told them I'm in Canada, had no PayPal funds at the moment, so there was no way to deposit anything for a few more days. They said I could make a formal request to refund the second $35, but upon me asking they could not guarantee that the request would be fulfilled. It sounded like a ruse and I ended up putting the ball in their court and told them to decide: A) Keep me as a client, wait a few days for a deposit, and refund the second $35 or B) Drop me as a client and I still wouldn't pay the $35.
Their reply? Goodbye!
A great example of corporate arrogance and not caring about the little guy.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Drive-thru or in person, they try to be personal and appear sincere.
Bank of America DOES NOT REPORT INMEDIATELY AN ERROR IN MOBILE DEPOSIT.
The customers can lose the money if do not receive a phone call or email message about
"NOT DEPOSIT " of check deposited, only is received confirmation of deposit by email that's all.
Third week now waiting for check from closing my account. Third week! I have been lied to, misinformed, and handled with the worst customer service ever. Three weeks ago now, I had lost my wife, sold our house and moved to a place with no B of A around, so I requested to close my/our account. After waiting nearly two weeks with no check in the mail after being told it would take 5-7 business days, I called, and discovered the girl who had helped me did everything wrong, including not having correct address (provided to her three times) claiming she couldn't get a hold of me (for what?). Then it just sat there, unreal! This new rep seemed very competent but I still haven't rec'd after she said they would send out this time 1st class mail (unlike pre-assorted). The level of customer care is beyond bad--it is obscene! Who is running this company? They should be recalled, terminated. Tellers could run a better operation.
Companies like this only run it for the shareholders/stockholders, with little to no real concern for the customers. Personnel is (obviously) not trained right, or at all. My next and final step is a formal complaint to the Attorney General of their headquartered state, plus BBB, plus the banking commission.
Disgusting and dreadful the two words to best describe Bank of America. Meanwhile, they retain thousands of my hard-earned dollars.
Tip for consumers:
Think twice about using and trusting this bank

Bank of America account--I just want my money after properly closing my account.
Horrible attitudes and bOA did this due to racial equality lawsuits in the company. Now being a preferred client benefits me how? I get to deal with rude CSRs instead of polite Filipinos? Wtf
I wish I could give negative review to bank of America ONE STAR is too much for them
Bunch of careless, rude uneducated, brainless people are running Bank of America
I have account in several international banks the worst service i ever experienced was bank of America
I have been a long term good standing BOA customer for many years. I opened a checking, savings, business, and had 3 credit cards with them. In the last 6 months (during the corona pandemic) they went ahead and cancelled all my credit cards. They sent me a letter listing several generic reasons why they made the decision to close my credit cards. I was really upset after they closed my last one and decided to call they and none of the reps knew what to tell me so they kept transferring me around. I finally spoke to a Supervisor and explained my situation and told him that I either needed a valid reason why my cards were cancelled or needed them to reopen one of my cards. The "Supervisor" very rudely told me that they have the right to close my account for whatever reason and that they will not be reopening any of my accounts. This is the way BOA treats their customers especially in a time were we need all the financial support we can get. I am completely dissapointed with BOA and will be closing the rest of my accounts and opening with another bank asap.
Went in to buy a car and when I went to use my debit card to give them my down payment Bank of America had a hold on it because it seems suspicious I went home on a bus And some other man came in with ******* cash and walked away with a car America does not need to go digital
After min payment is met all other funds should go to highest intrest purches ect... they dont they take a little amount so they can keep charging intrest on the higher ones thats not right
This bank needs to close. Seriously! The worse. Bank they won't cash a check written to you unless you open an account I mean really It s drawn off there Bank they suck
I called the bank before I went and kept getting a message all reps are busy. So I went and picked up my 80 year old dad and we drove to the bank on Zang in Dallas which is definitely NOT a hop-skip-or jump. All my dad wanted to do was get some thing out of his Safe Deposit box. When we got there there it was 30 min before closing. The guy told us he did not have time because he was already working with someone and that we needed to make an appointment. This was on a Friday and they offered 2 appts times for the following Monday which did not work for me. MONDAY I tried calling the branch to make an appt and kept getting the same message I received on Friday that all reps were busy. I then called the the main customer serv $ 432- 1000 and waited and waited. A person finally came on the phone a try tried assisting me in contacting branch to set up an appointment. After waiting for a long time, the rep said someone would be calling me back from the branch. Well 2 days later and I still have not heard anything. I keep calling but still getting the same message
This bank is the ONLY bank I found equally disastrous online & in person! I am trying to pay my car loan for the past 2 days from my Chase bank account - they will not help me! The online is useless!
Their policies and procedures prevent them from conducting good business! Their employees and management are not polite or professional! Stay away from this bank to avoid problems and aggravation!
I am at the shop trying to make a payment been on hold for the last 30 minutes to talk to the fraud department to authorize my payment it is crazy how banks are cheap to hire associates
They randomly closed my account. And when i tried to get help they would not help me. The automatic phone service is terrible. The employees are terrible. They don't care about anything
I banked with Bank of America for over 10 years. Not only are their fees among the highest in the industry their interest rates for savings snd checking accounts are among the lowest in the industry. They stack their overdraft fees one on top of the other on top of another. Granted, people should keep enough money in their accounts so that they are not overdrawn, but it does happen. While other banks are offering waivers for an occasional overdraft, Bank of America is still getting rich over these overdraft fees. And all this in spite of a class action lawsuit. Most of the time, in my experience, it takes over 30 minutes on hold to reach customer service and once you reach them, you can depend upon another one or two lengthy transfers to the correct department. After not having banked with them in over 5 years I recently received a statement saying that i had opened a new account with them. I did not and would not after my prior experiences with them. After phone calls that took over 1 1/2 hours of my time I finally got this resolved. Or, so they tell me that I did. There are much better banks with much more favorable interest rates and much better customer service. I suggest USAA, Ally, or even Varo Bank in lieu of this very much left leaning banking institution.
Tip for consumers:
Ask to speak to a supervisor when you initially reach customer service.

My credit card was hacked, I called bank of america and filed a claim and promptly received a new card. Approximately 10 days later I received a letter from them saying my claim was denied and that they would show me why if I called. I called and asked them to show me any evidence or results of any investigation to which I was told they had no evidence or investigative notes. I immediately cancelled my new card and withdrew all my savings with this less then stellar business, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
I have been trying to call Bank of America on my lunch break for 4 months and have never been able to speak with a human being about my account. I have helpd for an hour 75 times! They dont offer the option to leave a message to have thmn return a call. How can any company operate like this? They people in charge should be fired and put in jail until the problem is solved. This is the WORST SERVICE I have ever encountereed with any company of any size in any industry in my 59 years on this planet. I encourage you to withdraw your moeny and to do buniness with any other bank. Bank of America absolutely SUCKS!
I deposited cash in the ATM and it did not deposit in my account and they gave me a receipt saying that they couldn't process my transaction and that I would need to contact Bank of America so I did so they told me that they couldn't give me my money back until 1 to 10 days and I told him it was cash money they told me that's the process they take this is so unreal tome I have never dealt with anything like this with Bank of America poor business
Hung up on multiple times, called in 10 times this week they know they suck and they wont do nothing about it. Designed to keep the minority enslaved to debt and benefit the rich.
When you get something that works you make it a point to change it to mess it up the original bill pay work just fine now it's all messed up again go back to the old format
As soon as I got the card I immediately set up auto pay. I've been using the card auto pay had been going fine. I had also been making additional payments which were hundreds of dollars over the minimum payment due. However, the last two months even though auto pay continue to go through suddenly my auto pay date was passed the due date, and I had incurred two late fees the last couple months, so I called them and ask them why. How is it that I am getting late fees when I am on auto pay and making extra payments? They were willing to reverse one, but the other could not be reversed. I understand that she may not have had the authority so I talked to the manager who said she could not either. Then she sent me to bill pay who sent me back to card services now I have been on the phone for over an hour. At this point it's not about the money it's about the principle. Have you ever got a late fee when you were on auto pay? For them to hold on to the 36 bucks that means nothing to them, I mean it's just bad business to me. I mean really what is $36 to them. It may mean something to me around Christmas time it's just bad business. That's the whole point of auto pay so you pay on time?
