The recent site update makes logging into my account a lot easier and quicker. However I still feel like they should have have an option to keep the old login style or switch to the new one. Once logged into the site, everything is well organized and you are able to access many of their tools to help you save, budget, and manage your money.
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
This is the worst bank i ever known.when you open an account they super nice to you later on when there is problem they don't even talk to you. Worst customer service.fraud department.0 star
I opened a claim with BOA to dispute a credit card charge from T-Mobile store that was unauthorized. The charge was a result of a T-Mobile salesperson's mistake, and the store was taking a very long time to reverse that charge on their end. After a month of apologies and empty promises from the store, I contacted my bank to reject the charge on my end, since T-Mobile was not fulfilling their promise of reversing the erroneously processed charge.
After a long investigation, Bank of America aligned with T-Mobile store and turned their back on me. Of course, the Texas based customer service rep. Was VERY apologetic about the situation I was in but the $450, mistakenly charged to my cc, was imposed onto me by BOA. The decision was made by unnamed rep. Based on arbitrary and unfair judgment. BOA claims to provide great help and support to their customers, but do not count on it. It's just another empty promise needed to lure in new customers. I have been their loyal customer for 30 years at this point and have significant savings with them. However, when I really needed their help with this ongoing and very frustrating situation, BOA DID NOT HELP. They only made my problem last longer and took additional time from me by asking for more and more info. And all of it for absolutely nothing. My claim got denied. The customer service in TX is absolutely horrible!
I was waiting for 20 minutes to open my safe box and the trller said you have to go back to the line because I don't have log in to the computer does that make sense!
Don't ever bank with Bank of America. Recently was scammed for my money in savings and they did nothing to get my money back. I Will for sure be changing banks soon.
Had account where stopped payment fees we're not applicable. I stopped payment on check and they charged me $90. They admitted their mistake and won't rectify it
BANK OF AMERICA ESTATE DEPARTMENT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE! THERE IS ALWAYS AT LEAST A HOUR WAIT TIME TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE, AND THEY SEND YOU THROUGH SO MAY CHANGES TO SEND YOU YOUR DECEASED LOVED ONE'S ASSETS. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER A MONTH FOR THEM TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THAT I WAS TOLD TO DO, DOCUMENTS FILLED OUT AND NOTARIZED, EVERYTHING! THEIR PROCESS IS VERY SLOW. IT'S ALWAYS A EMOTIONAL TIME FOR ME WHEN I HAVE TO CONTACT THEM AGAIN IN REGARD TO MY DECEASED FATHERS ASSETS THAT HE HAS WITH BANK OF AMERICA, AND THEY CERTAINLY DON'T MAKES MATTERS NO BETTER BY GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. THERE IS SO SMOOTH TRANSISITION WITH BANK OF AMERICA IN THEIR ESTATE DEPARTMENT. I AM CONSIDERING CLOSING DOWN MY ACCOUNT, AND TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED AND DISGUSTED WITH THEIR ESTATE SERVICES!
The wait time to talk to a representative is too long. It takes about an hour to get a hold of someone. When it comes to money they should be able to get through to people quicker!
This is not the same bank I have had for 30 years. The managers are not helpful and there are far fewer locations to even get service. Time to look for another bank.
Put a 10 day hold on a payroll check with no advising of said hold. When I explained I had a deposit to put down on an apartment and movers scheduled they wouldn't budge. Will be closing my account.
This is most worst bank.
Called bank all of them are very unprofessional or they don't answer the phone and even if they answer the phone after 2 hour of holding, they are not correcting problems.
Bank of America been a customer for 15 years. On July 19th 2022 I took 20 grand all hundreds to the bank to deposit. I used the ATM you can deposit up to 75 bills at a time. First deposit was $4400 no problem second deposit was for $7500 machine stops working and spits out receipt that reads second deposit credits me $3700 a difference of $3800... We apologize for the inconvenience. We created an issue record that will be attached to your transaction. Please retain your receipt until you have spoken with an Electronic claims associate. They can be contacted at phone # to resolve the issue. I call no problem sir they put the $3800 in my account within 48 hours it took 96 hours but everything was correct so I was fine. Then on August 5th 2022 I get a letter stating they only found $800 of my $3800 and that they would be taking $3000 from my account on August 19th and the case is closed! So I closed all my accounts asap and moved to the credit union. On August 26th I got a letter that I owe $3000 and my accounts are all closed. I know for a fact I had 20 grand and came home with $8100 so I deposited $11,900. Bust out the cameras and see me in court!
Tip for consumers:
Don't ever use the ATM to deposit large amounts

I don't have too much to say. Quite simply, they don't know how to stop charging me for services I told them repeatedly to stop. They are not very forthright.

Don't us Bank of America.

Payoneer Uses Bank of america to register account sometime, if this happens to you, that mean you cannot use your Card of account, Bank of America do not provide any facility to use its Card even if Payoneer has registered you.
I deposit a check and the next day it was release. And I deposit another check with the same amount and customer hold.
Really bad customer service lay
Since opening my bank acct with BoA, I've made the same type of deposits; with NO issues. All of a sudden, after months of these legit deposits, BoA decides to reverse 1 of them & mail a "legal copy" of the check back (which took 2 weeks to receive) & place a hold on the other deposit from 2/19/22 until 3/3/22. Now, after re-depositing the paycheck that took 2 weeks to get back, I'm now informed this will be held until 2/28/22; when they've had the original & local paycheck for 2 weeks. So, I've got $3,670.16 in deposits that I have NO ACCESS TO. I know that the deposited item from 2/19/22, has cleared by now. Still, I'm broke with money in the bank that I HAVE NO ACCESS TO!
Tip for consumers:
Don't! Find another bank

The only avenue that BoA offers is the 800 number that doesn't have any real customer service.!
The worst service ever! Their app I think is the most aggravating app I have ever tried to navigate. I then tried emto call, only to hear over and over by a recording how important I am for over 40 minutes. Tried several times to make online payments, only to find out they were never applied, and now I'm late. I'm NEVER late. It's been60/Days, and I can only ask this question. HOW ARE THEY IN BUSINESS?
Worse customer service ever! Charged me twice and did not return my money for months! They still didn't. Most of the agents provided controversial information. Very unprofessional!
It has been made clear to me in the past 3 years that BOA has no interest in their customers beyond having our money in their hands to invest. You are penalized for everything that doesn't serve THEIR agenda, not yours. They were the worst when it came to support during Covid, did not honor terms they promised. They just decided WITHOUT EVEN CONSULTING ME to turn my savings account into a checking account with all the requisite because I sometimes have to dip into it savings to pay a bill or put food onb my table. So SORRY poor Bank of America that I deprived you of a few dollars to invest for YOUR OWN PROFIT. I work 7 days a week to survive NOT to fill BOA CEOs pockets. After 3 years of being disappointed and unhappy with BOA,this was the last straw. I am now researching alternatives. I will be quite vocal and viral about my dislike for this organiztion.
I am a 64 year old female struggling to live off $100 a week. Because I had to go into my savings account over the limit of the amount of times they let you go into your own savings account I ended up with a fee of $60. I called customer service and I went through three different customer service Representatives right above each other you know like supervisor to manager and so on and so forth, explaining my financial situation and the fact that I'm just getting over covid and only have been putting in 6 hours a week. After speaking to three different people and explaining that that $60 would mean me eating or not eating for a week each one of them went on to tell me about Bank of America's protocols. Who the hell would want a bank with a bank that does not give a s*** about their customers. After all it's the customers that keep them in business and each one of those representatives were just cold and calculus and truly did not give a damn about my situation. I also have an account with Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo is probably the best bank you could ever bank with because they care about their people and they're not losing anything by giving a customer back some fees I've never had a problem getting a feedback with Wells Fargo especially because I am a senior citizen and struggling. I would advise anyone not to bank with Bank of America because they are truly not a bank for America. If you have a Wells Fargo near you go to Wells Fargo you would definitely be happy. I will continue to spread the word about Bank of America and let people know that they're the worst thing that you can ever bank with.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BANK WITH BANK OF AMERICA!!!!!

Quantity deposit $300 in cash for somebody cleaning one of my rent houses. Bank of America wouldn't take $300 in cash for me because it wasn't her. When in the world did banking become so difficult.
Tip for consumers:
I can get a local thing to do all kinds of things for me. These big banks are just a joke.

When you call their credit card line, you have to jump through about 91 hoops to get to a live person. Completely box you out and if you hit zero multiple times the call drops you. UAW where are you?
I've been waiting nearly an hour to talk to a Bank of America rep, and am writing a review with my other hand to help pass the time. This wait time is usual - they make you wait longer than the IRS. I ignore the recordings until the voice says "We know your time is valuable." At that point I yell "Shut up!"
Ah, I finally got a rep, and for once I got a good one. B of A just went from one star to two. Found out what I needed to know: whether or not my card was still on Autopay - and he also let me know that my newer Bank of America card is on Autopay as well. I hadn't heard back since I sent the needed forms, voided checks, etc. by postal mail (that's right) to set up Autopay for that card two months ago.
It's nearly impossible to set up Autopay or talk to a representative, and this was the first time I've ever reached a good rep at the end of the wait. So why do I put up with it? Two reasons. One: 3 percent cashback on gas, all the time. It is my default gas card. Two: they give a small percentage of their fees to causes I support. I'm sure the shares are small, but repeated over years, they add up to a donation.
Was with my local CU for 42 years. Needed to join a commercial bank to facilitate relocation to a new state. Chose BofA as there is a branch just up the street (now closed due to staffing issues). I came with 450k and a bonus offer from the internet for opening new accounts. The personal banker took my coupon and my money and opened my accounts. Fast forward 6 mos. No bonus was received. Customer service opened a "escalation ticket". That ticket was closed with not resolution--I was never contacted. Called back to re-inquire and escalate. Found out that there is not bonus for my market and whatever my personal banker (now awol) did was not correct. So I've had 1/2 million dollars sitting at BofA doing nothing and only made 61.00 interest on a 412k CD. I'm so furious with this $#*!ty commercial. I am liquidating all my accounts and moving to Citibank. Getting 1500. 00 cash bonus for the effort. BofA was a miserable experience and I regret doing any business with them. Completed waste of time.
I recieved a statement stating I had a checking account with this bank. I called to tell them I NEVER opened an account and found out someone used my name, so number, and date of birth to open an account online. An investigation ensued, they found it was fraudulent, and I was told the account was closed. That was 6 months ago and I get an overdrawn fee every month sent to me. I have tried 15 times to date to get this taken care of and im just put on hold. I have waited on hold a total of 27 hours WITHOUT GETTING AHOLD OF ANYONE! What kind of fraud department is this? I am BEYOND LIVID! I'm doing all this work and being charged for an account I NEVER opened and was told was closed months ago! DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST IN THIS BANK. They are victimizing the victim!
I live in Costa Rica. Calling customer service is like I am visiting he'll. Speaking to computer voice is the initial hurdle. Long wait times to get to speak to an incompetent human representative. Each incompetent who I speak to tells me a different story about everything from accessing my accounts, to how to send wire money transfers, to how they act when all of my credit cards and debit cards were stolen. I am the criminal in the last situation and they refused to access my account. Instead of sending g my replacement cards to my address in Costa Rica (which I spelled out for them), they sent them to Scottsdale, Arizona. No one at B of A had an explanation. They refuse to send me one time access codes to my Costa Rican phone number, so, I have to have them send them to my son's phone and he relays them to me. Therefore, my son has much more access to my bank accounts than I do! Despite me repeatedly telling the incompetents that my preference for sending the access codes to me is via email for 2 years now, they have no record of that preference. Even Erika, their new fancy dansy AI idiot, does not comprehend anything that I am telling it. Then Erika decides what is best for me and sends me around and around in circles resulting in my suicidal ideations! I think that is enough for now to justify my 1 star rating.
