The recent site update makes logging into my account a lot easier and quicker. However I still feel like they should have have an option to keep the old login style or switch to the new one. Once logged into the site, everything is well organized and you are able to access many of their tools to help you save, budget, and manage your money.
Review for Bank of America: I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email. I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line. To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
I like Bank of America I have had my account with them now for over 20 years. I like that they are quick to inform you of any issues they see with your bank card. If I go out of town and not tell them. I will get a phone call and a temp lock on my card. Because it is activity that is usual. Now I call and let them know I am leaving. The even have where you can let them know in the app or online.
I have a small business account with BofA. Since my inception 3 years ago I have had the same check deposited into my business account and they continue to put a hold of 10 days on the same f@#$%g check every time. Idiots blame security every time and do nothing about it. So weird when they end each phone call with "is there anything else we can help you with?" Haha...you havent helped me with anything!
To sum it up, no customer service. You never speak to the same person or a person in the same state. Even though they acknowledge, you as the customer have provided the info necessary for them to complete their task, they take forever to do so. In the meantime you are paying them money you don't owe. Their website has disabled the link to give feedback. Their excuse for taking so long is the pandemic.
I am so disgusted with Bank of America. I have had them since 2008. I have three checking accounts, one business account and a savings account as well as a credit card and vehicle loan. I went to use my credit card at the supermarket on the Fourth of July when they tell me my card is not authorized on July 3. They canceled my card and closed all my accounts with no reason they will not give me a reason I have an 800 credit score have never had a late payment with them any over drafts payments past due. After calling eight times and getting no resolution or response from them. I feel that they are targeting me and being prejudice because I'm from Hispanic descent and they can't make money on me
After 45 minutes waiting on hold for the bank of America customer service They disconnected me and asked me to call later!

Took my 91-year-old mother to TRY to cash 3 little $50 checks she had been holding onto. Bank was closed; only ATM access. Went to 2 more locations and they weren't allowing ppl in, no transactions and really short hours. This is NO WAY to run a business!
My account was forced closed over 2 1/2 months ago and Bank of America is still holding all of my money. They say I have been cleared of all Wrong doing. And I have no access to the account once the account is completely closed they will send me a check. First I was told it would be June 20 then July 15 then August 1 then August 15 then August 26 now September 1. That's Ridiculous people need their money did not bank with him if they close your account they will keep your money

I had a fraud situation and BofA did nothing to help with the situation. They have no central fraud department and they are getting hammered by all the scammers because they are an easy target. I recommend you close any accounts with them or your money is at risk.
The automated customer service message is needlessly long. Wait times are too long. Two times I had a Charles Schwab check deposited into my account which was rejected because they "couldn't locate the account" though they posted checks from the same account before. I terminated my account with BOA.
After filing a stop payment, we collected 7 pages of information for BoA and were told that because we didn't have a proof of return that they cannot credit us. When we told BoA that we were unable to obtain a return address we were told that this is very common and that there is nothing they could do. So much for buyer protection.
My family had a trust fund at Bank of America. My father had his leg amputated and he received a loan from our trust fund for $100,000, to get an artificial leg. My father ended up passing away. My father had taken out a life insurance policy to Bank of America, in the amount of $100,000, so in his death the loan would be paid. Instead, Bank of America said my father just left them $100,000 and I had to pay the loan out of the trust. So, I was left with nothing from the trust. Bank of America just gave me a promissory note saying my deceased father owed me $100,000. My cousin was in the trust as well and received his $100,000. I argued so much with them, but they said my father just left them $100,000 for them to just keep for themselves. I didn't even receive a thank you pen! They completely robbed me of $100,000 and had been robbing our family trust for years before this. CROOKS!
I'm a customer of Bank of America for 20 years. I got low rate check and didn't realized that I can't deposit to my account. Instead of 0% rate I ended up %23 in addition to transaction fees. The font was so small in comparison 0% Apr till 8/20. I called customer service and got nothing. Being a loyal customer worth nothing when it comes to Bank of America. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BANK. To me Bank of America is one of the best. At times it has been somewhat disappointing with the Bankers around there. But overall I feel it still one of the best Banks. I'm only speaking for the location in Bell California when I say somewhat disappointing with the Bankers. Is been all good at other locations. One of the best Banks
I been customers since 2010 and I can't believe that they don't pay interest for what you have you have 10 thousand dollars you will get 10 cents that's a piece of cake

We had fraud charges on our account and Bank of America kept telling us to go online to dispute it which we could not… we went to the bank, we called over and over again and they were no help whatsoever. They kept telling us one thing and not doing what they were telling us they were going to do. The sooner I lose this bank the better. Every branch I go into always has long lines and not enough customer representatives there to take care of their customers. I absolutely despise this bank.

Bank of America is not really the best bank. In fact it's the best at very little. It's big and impersonal and everything sort of works fine but really not that well. However, I would say that for a small business owner, Bank of America payroll is a good deal. It's much cheaper and perhaps even easier than most of the big payroll companies like ADP. Sure if you have a big business ADP payroll might be the only way to go, but for us small guys Bank of America Payroll isn't half bad.
I had an auto loan with BOA and tried to refinance. Any branch I called for a payoff letter would tell me they'd transfer me to customer service only to hang up on me, if I went in person it was a 2+ hour wait and if I left and came back I'd lose my spot, I tried to sign up for online banking and I have to wait 3 to 5 days for a temporary password. I've been on hold with customer service for nearly an hour now listening to the same hold music and useless messages about how I can save time by signing up for online banking as if I haven't already tried so I can end this torture. Never opening another account with them again.

Just paid off my credit card. On the online banking to make payment for credit card it gives you 3 options. Pay minimum pay balance and pay balance in full. So I payed balance in full. Expecting my balance to be 0 since I paid balance in full never thought anything of it. Well I get a email saying I am late on my payment. We'll surprise to me I paid balance to 0. Should have no payment. Didn't they charge me 50 in interest saying I didn't pay off my balance so it was interest. I always thought payment in full means you owe nothing or why else would it be paid in full. So I called all I can say is what a waste of a hour and never ever would I recommend them to even someone I didn't like they are horrible and could care less about you. Only have a 1 star cause can't give no stars
I was charged a 60.00 service fee because I transferred MY money from saving to checking more than 6 times. When I called to have the fee credited they refused. Said the charge was correct. I find it ludicrous that I have to pay to have my money transferred between accounts. Bank of America sucks. Will be closing both my accounts!
I live in Canada and because of Covid-19 restrictions I could not cross the border to US. they closed my credit card account which I paid fees for till August 2022 without any notice. 2of customer service agents

I never write bad reviews but this review is long overdue. I am a trustee at this bank and every time I contact them there is an issue. They do not answer the phone at the branch-ever! I had to come in today pouring rain during covid and now they will only take me by appt. I am in the main 800 number 35 minutes and counting. The service here is atrocious I can't wait to switch banks!
Just had a call with a representative of BoA and he was extremely rude, impatient and unprofessional. From the beginning of the call he was rude by cutting me off and using condescending words and tones. I eventually had to hang up and not even get my issue heard or corrected. Very disappointed.
My wife made a transfer to my BoA account from her BoA account via Zelle on Aug 23rd and I never received the funds which were taking from her account. It appears as pending since on the app. I have called at least 6 times spending literally hours on the phone being transferred to incorrect depts, being hung up on and waiting online over an hour for the fraud dept. Despite assurances that this would be taken care of and I would receive follow up calls. I have yet to receive a call back or my money. I have had a relationship with Bank of America for over 30 years and never had such bad horrible and frustrating service. I am seriously considering changing banks. Over two and a half weeks later I am no better off despite hours of my time dealing with incompetent people. Absolutely ridiculous to have to go through this with no resolution or even a call back from Supervisors and Merrill Lynch Relationship Manager even after contacting them and told I would definitely receive a call back.

Bank of America literally is the worst bank that I have ever dealt with mainly because of their customer service. Extremely disgusting. I would never do business with them ever again and I will make sure that I tell everybody that I meet all of the things I went there with them, so that they will never do business with him. If I could give a - zero instead of a one I would.
