My first problem was using my one free lead for a client that was supposed to be interested in using my service and found out they wasn't. The name and phone number were correct, but this client told me me over the phone, that he was NOT looking for the kind of service my company provides. I was completely embarrassed for disturbing the poor man, and tried to contact bark about the error and attempt to get credit for my now used free lead that wasn't a lead at all. The "*******@Bark" link to contact support didn't work unless I copy pasted the link to my email browser and sent a letter. I received a response back from Liam, assuring me I've been provided with another free response, but later when i logged in to my profile, I never received the credit. I read where they screen these leads but that's a load of crap. I sent another email on the same issue, and again received the same answer back. However, my profile still showed the lead was spent and no way of getting it back. The next issue I had was when I decided to just go ahead and purchase the starter package with their 20% off promotion and not only was the price significantly higher than what the rep quoted me over the phone a week prior, but it wouldn't take my form of payment. I tried both cards and got the same error to each of them. My bank was denying payment. I knew immediately this was wrong and contacted my bank anyway. My account showed no record of anyone attempting to process the cards for payment. I then tried calling Bark's phone number on the website, and wouldn't you know it... no one answered. I certainly can take a hint. It's shouldn't be this difficult to obtain clients, unless they are not what they say they say they are. I've decided to take my business someplace else.

We're sorry to hear that you have had issues with some leads, but we refute any claims that we deliberately provide fake leads.
All leads are screened by an automated system, and we have a credit return policy which covers any contact details which are not working. We feel this is the fairest system we can have as we are not a commission based system that guarantees work, and only provide contact details for enquiries placed with us.
Customers can place multiple requests for various service areas should they wish to - for example someone who is planning a wedding will often place requests with us for their DJ, Wedding Flowers and Catering all at the same time.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: I don't think so. They signed me up and sent me a free "lead" I never got a reply to. And then I paid for one credits lead and that didn't get a reply. I then noticed both emails where from the UK. I am a plumber in Canada, but the lead specifically said it was for work in my hometown. Refund policy in place but didn't refund the credits. Not even credited to my account. They also automatically have all my reviews from Yelp, HomeStars etc. that they scraped and posted on their website.
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
