Been a member for years and met my husband on there. Still use it to keep in touch with friends. Good new features, decent price. Heard about run ins with the owner, but haven't experienced that. Some words are autoblocked (like Facebook), which I think is pretty lousy, otherwise a perfect site.

The best way to get your profile removed is to update it and slam b411 while commenting favourably on other bear sites. It appears that "Greg" is not only a narcissistic brat who stamps his little cyber-feet when he sees something other than what HE likes, but is as (financially) dodgy as all hell and could, quite possibly, be a complete and utter moron.

My experience was the same as many listed and I had a friend who tired to join and never was allowed it would appear that the site has country club practices of the 50's and 60's very odd and yes there seems to be no way to contact the webmaster...

I have asked this $#*! to delete my profile while I had a paid membership and after i canceled the card, he can no longer collect any money from me. His ploy is to lure you in and then you cant get out. His messages tell you that the bandwidth is what costs money and only paying members can access the site. Well if his bandwidth is so precious to him, I figured I'd help out. I posted the hottest pic I could find of somebody else bare $#*! naked! My email on his site exploded! I went from 1 or 2 emails a week to 50-60 a day! He is to stupid to realize it's a fake pic and he dont realize his precious bandwidth is being used up by everybody accessing my page! There's more than one way to piss off a hairy faggot!

I attempted to re-join this site. I had a membership under a prior username and deleted it some years ago. I then received an e-mail enjoining me to go to GayDaddy.com (which is Bear411's way of saying you've been rejected for Bear411.)
If you Google "Bear411 issues" there are quite a number of blogs and forums regarding the issues people have had with the owner of this site, with apparently arbitrary discriminatory policies regarding who gets to join or not join, and people having their profiles deleted without warning.
The owner according to the complaints is notorious for censoring e-mails, messages and chat sessions if there are any URL's posted regarding any other websites, particularly Bear-related sites.

I've tried B411 for several years, off and on thinking it could only get better. Sadly, it's gotten worse. Today was the last straw. I received an email stating my profile had been accepted on GayDaddy.com... that not only had my profile picture, but the same profile name and password and info as seen on B411. In fact, when I went to look at it, it had all the trappings of B411. I didn't sign up for this nor did I give a consent to do so. And, like B411, there was no way of requesting to delete it. Fortunately I was able to reply to the email requesting it be deleted immediately, along with the B411 account. I had been trying to delete the former for quite some time with no success. This however did the trick. It's wrong and an invasion of privacy to port profile information from one site to another in order to set up accounts and profiles. In fact, I'd like to think it's not even legal, but still checking on that.

I'm a paid member yet as of today I can't even access this site without it asking me to pay again. As ever no e-mail adress is given no contact available. This site used to be great now it's getting worse and worse. If I get no luck in the next few days I will be cancelling my subscription and moving on... not what I think the site owners were thinking I'm sure

When I found I could not delete my credit card information I asked to have my account deleted. Later that day I could no longer log in. However my friends tell me that it still shows me as logged on, and it has been for months now. There aren't any replies to messages sent. I've heard rumors about the webmaster leaving up profiles, and I've fallen victim to it.

My paid subscription just ran out and I can't get in any day of the week so far. I texted friends who have never paid and they tried and got in no problems. If this is a ploy to just try and make me re-up you've unfairly failed by targeting me and not others who've never paid. Adios Bear411... hello Growlr.

Although I have had a premium membership for years, I am walking away because there is nothing left for non-paying members to do on the website. Greg aka BuddyBear has stripped his site so completely as to leave the non-paying member without anything he can do without being forced into purchasing a premium account. Therefore, the site has become a ghost town. It is no longer a useful site to meet bears, cubs, and chasers.

There is no way to delete your profile or deactivate it. This is incredulously fraudulent. You can email the webmaster until you are blue in the face and he does not respond. You get suckered into paying for basic access to the website features. It is pretty bad when the Better Business Bureau has been investigating myriads of complaints against this site. There are far better sites out there for you to find what you are looking for. Save yourself the headache and patronize other worthy sites.

No hook up site is worth paying for and locking out nonpaying members for weeks doesn't make them pay. It makes them leave. There are much better where you can post your vids and not get locked out for days.

I joined recently. Paid $9.99. Impossible to keep track of messages and many messages do not appear in message history. Sometimes takes over a day for incoming messages to be posted! JUNK! CRAPPY SITE! ANd no way to communicate with customer service! HORRIBLE SITE. AVOID!

I used to love this site, was a paying member for years, etc.

Besides all of the censorship, games, etc here is the basic problem with his "business Model"

If I'm a paying member and see a non-paying members profile and send him a message the non-paying member cant respond to me. Now I'm paying for a service but I'm not getting the service I'm paying for.

Its gone from annoying to downright fraud.

I have try to join Bear411 for the last 15 years and they have never accepted me... by the way I am black near 300 pounds. They are the most racist site of all $#*!ing time. I object and they should be sued!

A very bad website. The owner choses when he wants to block free members though it is supposed to be a free website. Paying for a membership gets you guys looking for a instant hook up. Avoid this website by all intentions!

I thought I would like this site have paid on and off for years. My debit card was compromised by someone and replace try getting Verotel to call your bank is like pulling teeth on a duck. Try to get buddybear to correct it is a joke. The same old faces logged in forever without an automatic reset is this sites biggest issue. These stuck up Queens are looking for men that are nonexistent.

I have been on B411 for several years. Some of that time as a paid 'priority access' member. I have had periodic problems with access & annoying 'messages' which are no more than solicitations for money. No matter what the problem, "Buddybear" is not responsive or accessible. I have given up and will never go to the site again, I don't need the frustration.

I have had the same experience that a lot of other people have had here where I was not allowed to rejoin the site. I am hairy, have a goatee, and am nowhere near thin. I can only assume that the fact that I have longer hair is the issue that prevents me from being allowed to join this site again.

I joined 2 days ago and have never received an email allowing me access. Every time I try to log in, it says my account is under review. How long does it take to review an account. I even paid for membership and can access the site. Sorry I every joined.

This site is old and useless. Worst thing about this site is that you can't control your own profile as everything has to be "approved" first by a single moderator. Deleting my profile took months and months of attempts to contact the webmaster (Never even got a reply) and I finally resorted to changing my bio to trashing the webmaster I recommend this tactic. Also add some trigger words like BearWWW and Growlr.

Stay Away! There's far better options available out there.

The webmaster buddybear is a douche-bag and so are most of the stuck up bears on the website. I only made a few friends on bear411 but never found a lover like the website boasts it helps you do. Being on bear411 doesn't make being gay any easier I think it makes it worse and lowers self esteem because of all the unfriendly bears on the site that are stuck up. Hate it worst site ever. I deleted my profile never to return again.

I'm a muscle bear... my heaviest was 307 i am currently 277... this site is for bears only... there are a few muscle bears in other countries who are awesome but it's not worth paying for... It was free for years and i never dated anyone off the site so paying was not an option! I was a pain to cancel... i had to go the extremes... but its done good riddens!

I love the site and have made many friends over the approximate two years I signed up for it. I do recommend it to my friends because I have met some really great men and enjoy conversation with and sharing ideas and interests.
