This site worked really well as far as navigation goes but once I accepted the $1-5 day trial, entered my cc info, I was no longer able to access the report. It's raining here so I thought it was the weather. I uploaded the android app bc I DO have continuous service on my phone, and still no luck. I get back online and am able to navigate ANYWHERE else on the internet, email, yahoo, facebook... as well as write this review... and I'm even able to get to the beenverified page and do a general non-member search, you know, the one that takes you to report but now you have to pay for it? Lol... so, I decide to sign in at that point... as soon as I do, BAM no access. After reading the reports here and the way this is going so far, I am far, far from satisfied and will definitely share this review page openly as well as share my experience with the BBB. I've canceled within 40 mins of beginning my quest here. Seems to me, even if it states you can cancel before the five days is up and not get charged, looks like they were going to "milk" the 5 days with errors until you've reached the end of the trial period. Give me 5 days to see if they charge my account anyway and I"ll be back to write another report and post it to the rest of the world as well... for now, I'm gonna wait and see, yet go elsewhere for what I'm looking for!

I signed up for BeenVerrified yesterday to check on the info related to myself and my husband. By the time I finished reading I was so angry! It listed my Mother as a close relative-5 years older than she actually is and my Father as a mere acquaintance-18 years younger than my Mother (when he is actually older by 7 years). It had a close relative as a person I have never known and who is not related to me in any way. It listed my son as a relative but his twin sister as an acquaintance. It said there was an alert for a bankruptcy but then the report said there was none-which was actually correct. When I ran my husband's report I am his only relative and both his parents were listed as acquaintances of his although they were listed as close relatives to me. One of the phone numbers listed for me was for Iowa-a state I have never lived in. Then, it listed my divorce as a crime... and it went on and on... How could soooo many things be wrong? The only things it got correct (gasp!) were my residence and my neighbors... What a rip-off! And at $22.95 OMG... There are much cheaper sites out there! I cancelled today!

After going through the lengthy sign-up process I was so happy to finally get to the "Get Report".
Error: "Your zip code is incorrect". What? I've used this card for years to shop AND I've lived in the same place forever. I retype the Zip and submit again.
Error: "Your card is declined for insufficent funds." What? You mean you took the funds off the first time when the Zip code was supposedly incorrect? Isn't that the whole point of matching zips so you DON'T take money when things don't match. Thank goodness I only had enough on the card for one month or you would have taken two.
And worst of all, now you have my money but are not giving me access to that report I wanted so badly. I should have read reviews first.
I called customer service immediately and got a lackluster "check with your bank/our credit card processing is done by 3rd party/nothing we can do/you'll get your money back within 7 days/ if you want you can try another card."
I replied that I wanted the glitch in the system reported so that maybe other people won't have to be inconvenienced like I am. Take my money, but don't provide the service. There's a word for that...

I'm sorry to hear you had trouble signing up. When you select a subscription type, enter your billing information and click to create your account, your card is authorized for the amount of the plan you selected. If your sign-up doesn't go through, because there is an issue with the information you entered, then the card is only authorized and that amount is not processed as a charge. Its my understanding that different financial institutions handle authorizations differently. Authorizations automatically expire and drop off of your statement, we didn't collect funds from you that we can refund. However, depending on your bank, it can take a few business days for the expired authorization to be reflected on your statement. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We have many systems in place to help ensure that only the authorized cardholder is signing up for the service. Sometimes this can make the sign-up process somewhat frustrating if a small mistake is made at any point in the process. This is for the cardholder's protection.

All the report had was contacts of people he might be related to including someone who has been dead for 20 years. Total waste of money

I'm sorry to hear this was your experience. I see that in the report you ran, there was not a great deal of data available for that individual. That can sometimes be the case, depending on how old the subject is, how much they interact with the kinds of agencies that collect public data, and the laws in their state about what is considered public record. Often there will be less information available on younger people, if they have fewer credit cards, signed legal documents, court records, etc. Please be assured that your account was canceled and your subscription purchase was refunded in full on 12/28/2016. You will not be billed again going forward.
