My name is Marco, and I'm from Brazil. I made an international purchase on the B&H website on 11/26/24, with delivery scheduled for 11/27/24. I work in content creation and recording for the internet, and I purchased an SSL2 interface. The delivery address was in Kissimmee, FL. This order was to be brought to me by a friend. I tracked the delivery on the B&H website, and the package arrived on 11/27/24. I contacted my friend to confirm if everything was correct. To my surprise, the product didn't arrive. I checked the FedEx website and saw that the package had been sent to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503. I contacted B&H to report the issue, and their response was that the product had been delivered and that nothing could be done. They said their website confirms delivery data before completing the purchase, which didn't happen in my case, as no such confirmation appeared for me. I double-checked the Kissimmee, FL address before completing the order. It's important to mention that earlier this year, I made another purchase through B&H to the same address, and everything went smoothly. However, this situation is much more serious. Outraged by this delivery error, I started researching online and found other serious reports of customers facing similar issues, and it seems that these occurrences are being completely ignored. In my opinion, there are signs of a scheme where criminals are compromising B&H's website, possibly using USB devices in places with internet access that prevent IP identification. These intruders interfere with the purchase process, redirect products to alternate addresses, and no one notices, not even B&H. I wrote to the company asking them not to ignore my report, as they have a great reputation, and this is jeopardizing their legacy. Please consider the following: How could I have specifically directed the shipment to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503? I wouldn't have known how to detail that address. I have no personal or professional connections to anyone in that region. If I had received any notification about a different address, I would have noticed the error and corrected it immediately before completing the purchase. Why was this address concealed, and why wasn't I notified? I only discovered this Massachusetts address on FedEx's website, as it was never shown to me. This situation clearly indicates a serious problem. Please understand that I am facing both a financial loss and a serious impact on my work. I am a digital content creator who depends on this equipment and trusted your store. As an American company, I believe B&H should value consumer rights. I've asked them not to ignore this issue. There are clear signs of fraud that will continue unless addressed. Finally, considering the clear security failure in B&H's online transaction system, I understand that B&H holds co-responsibility for completing this compromised transaction. I should not be penalized for the vulnerability of B&H's system. I have requested a solution beyond the responses of "we can't do anything" or "you wrote the wrong address." I need this product to continue my work. I've provided my phone number here in Brazil in the hope of a real solution to this issue. Thank you for your attention, and I eagerly await a satisfactory response from B&H.

Apparently, European issued cards are very sus nowadays. The most ridiculous email I have ever received.
"However, due to the fact that this order was paid with a card issued outside the USA, we are missing some important security information, such as address verification and so we have to take additional steps to protect the cardholder, thus your order is on hold. Therefore, we kindly ask; that if you or a colleague of yours has previously shopped at B&H Photo, whether it was online, over the phone or at our Superstore in NYC, we ask if you can provide us with the details associated with that order.
However, if this is your first time shopping with us; we ask respectfully that you provide us with some additional information such as a link to your online profile at Facebook or LinkedIn or a similar page; Alternatively, if you have a work email address with a valid domain replying from it will help expedite the processing of your order. Your credentials will not be stored or used for marketing purposes".
Excuse you? Facebook? LinkedIn? Fricking order details of another person?
Have you ever heard of privacy or is that concept is non-existent in modern America?
Am I tripping or even Amazon (a privacy-nightmarish company itself) could not possibly have sent a more outrageous email. Whoever runs your VeRiFiCaTiOn Department, wake up! This is not the way fraud works, this is not the way you treat new customers. They came from your competitors and they can just as easily go back to them!
The payment processed just fine when I placed my order. However, it took your VeRiFiCaTiOn Department around 24 hours to suspect the alleged fraud, charge me with another 1$ for nothing and then send me that beautiful email saying I have to prove something to them.
What in the name of Christ is that? First experience with this store and the fricking last!
UPD. What is even better, they keep charging me 1$ each time they reply to my support request. How cool is that? Oh how ironic, they were worried about the alleged fraud when in fact THEY ARE the real fraud.
And their manager here pretends he can't read otherwise I cannot, for the love of me, fathom how can he read my review where I clearly stated they had charged me 1$ TWICE after (!) my payment had already been processed. And it is still did not get back to my account.

It usually expires shortly after it is applied. Our site FAQ says, "However, a credit card authorization hold occurs at the time the order is placed."

After my order did not show up for a week beyond when it should have I received this (see below). This item was a great price which I had spent serveral hours researching. They did offer to credit me towards another model that was an additonal $300 I told them no thanks. My refund for the item I purchased and never received is approximately $350 and is still pending...:-( very dissappointed in this transaction. I have ordered from them before and had been pleased with the results.

This site has fair prices on items that are sold at MSRP price. I only shop on this site because I don't have to pay tax. However, their daily sale items kept me coming back. For that reason, it's a great place to shop if you're looking for a particular item on sale.
However, they have horrible customer service. If you shop on Amazon, you'll get your item on time or they give you compensation for items that arrive late or if something goes wrong with your order. BHphotovideo only apologizes for delays or problems with your order. You will only get frustration as your order arrives late or your "sales" item order cancelled at your request. For example, two weeks ago, I ordered a $300 item that was only sale for $155. I paid $20 shipping because apparently "everything ships free" except for that item that I ordered. UPS screwed up my shipment and damaged it in the process. They never deliver or attempt to deliver the item. They just returned to sender without my consent. I contacted BHphotovideo to send replacement for "damaged" product and they said that they will not send me a new one. They will attempt to resend the shipment that UPS said had been damaged once they receive the shipment back from UPS. I asked them to just contact the manufacturer to send me a new one. They said that the item is discontinued and they will not be able to order another one for me. I sent them a link to the manufacturer's website for the exact item that they said is discontinued. The item is actually still available from the manufacturer and ready to be added to cart and shipped. The representative with whom I chat said that he was unable to open the link I sent (I copied and pasted directly from my browser). So all in all, I will not receive my order and they refused to send me a replacement because they ran out of stock and refused to contact the manufacturer to send me a replacement. You can shop with them at your own risk. They have great deals on some very specific products but you may or may not get your order if someone goes wrong.
