“Urgent: Misdelivery Issue and Fraud Concerns”

My name is Marco, and I'm from Brazil. I made an international purchase on the B&H website on 11/26/24, with delivery scheduled for 11/27/24. I work in content creation and recording for the internet, and I purchased an SSL2 interface. The delivery address was in Kissimmee, FL. This order was to be brought to me by a friend. I tracked the delivery on the B&H website, and the package arrived on 11/27/24. I contacted my friend to confirm if everything was correct. To my surprise, the product didn't arrive. I checked the FedEx website and saw that the package had been sent to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503. I contacted B&H to report the issue, and their response was that the product had been delivered and that nothing could be done. They said their website confirms delivery data before completing the purchase, which didn't happen in my case, as no such confirmation appeared for me. I double-checked the Kissimmee, FL address before completing the order. It's important to mention that earlier this year, I made another purchase through B&H to the same address, and everything went smoothly. However, this situation is much more serious. Outraged by this delivery error, I started researching online and found other serious reports of customers facing similar issues, and it seems that these occurrences are being completely ignored. In my opinion, there are signs of a scheme where criminals are compromising B&H's website, possibly using USB devices in places with internet access that prevent IP identification. These intruders interfere with the purchase process, redirect products to alternate addresses, and no one notices, not even B&H. I wrote to the company asking them not to ignore my report, as they have a great reputation, and this is jeopardizing their legacy. Please consider the following: How could I have specifically directed the shipment to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503? I wouldn't have known how to detail that address. I have no personal or professional connections to anyone in that region. If I had received any notification about a different address, I would have noticed the error and corrected it immediately before completing the purchase. Why was this address concealed, and why wasn't I notified? I only discovered this Massachusetts address on FedEx's website, as it was never shown to me. This situation clearly indicates a serious problem. Please understand that I am facing both a financial loss and a serious impact on my work. I am a digital content creator who depends on this equipment and trusted your store. As an American company, I believe B&H should value consumer rights. I've asked them not to ignore this issue. There are clear signs of fraud that will continue unless addressed. Finally, considering the clear security failure in B&H's online transaction system, I understand that B&H holds co-responsibility for completing this compromised transaction. I should not be penalized for the vulnerability of B&H's system. I have requested a solution beyond the responses of "we can't do anything" or "you wrote the wrong address." I need this product to continue my work. I've provided my phone number here in Brazil in the hope of a real solution to this issue. Thank you for your attention, and I eagerly await a satisfactory response from B&H.

I purchased a Pelican case with a free $50 gift card. I clearly made sure the gift card showed up during checkout - it was in the same line as the product. However, they did not send the gift card when the case was delivered. I contacted them and they refused to honor the full amount of the gift saying the price was higher and said they would send the gift minus the difference. I sent them the screenshots showing the price was still the same with the gift card with the current time. But they ignored them and keep saying the price was different. A week later when I reviewed my cart, the price was still the same and the free $50 showed as 2nd line. So it looked like they had a glitch in my order. But I still haven't received the gift in any amount after the last contact with them 2 weeks ago. It's so crazy that they love to lie and argue with a loyal customer for just $11 difference. They lied to BBB that it did not come with the gift card when I made the purchase. I WOULDN'T HAVE MADE THE PURCHASE IF IT HAD NOT INCLUDED THE GIFT CARD.

Tip for consumers:
stay away from their free gift card offer. They would not send it properly.

UPDATE: I privately contacted BH, as is an option on this site. I haven't heard back from BH. My review stands.

I ordered a camera from them. Camera broke in less than one year. I sent it to them and they sent it to the wrong address; they told me it wasn't their error and so I was out of luck. They had no sympathy for the situation and no empathy, they only had a cavalier attitude and one that precluded any error on their part.

I finally got a hold of the people to whose address BH sent my camera and they were good enough to send it back to BH; BH was kept in the loop and I provided the tracking number for the camera. BH received the camera and let me know this via email.

And then BH couldn't find the camera. And then they ran a charge through my bank on my camera that I had paid for less than a year ago; yes, a double charge and thank goodness the bank refused it. And then they stonewalled during the many, many phone calls that I initiated and the many many emails that I wrote. In addition several people were answering my communications and no one knew what the other person was doing.

My camera, they say, is out their door and is in the process of shipping. And they now say I provided no battery when I originally returned the battery. In fact I did. And in fact the people who mailed my camera back to BH to needed to pay a bit extra for the battery inside the box. Somewhere between BH receiving the original return, and mailing it to the wrong place, and receiving it back again they are stating they have no battery.

If this sounds confusing and convoluted, it is. And that's the shabby 'service' BH doles out these days. They used to be about their products and customers- now they're about greed. I won't be purchasing from them again; a shame since I've been purchasing since 2003. They were good, now they aren't.

Tip for consumers:
Beware. This business is not the same as it used to be.

I ordered a new 4K monitor and it arrived defective. The menu would not even come up on the screen when you press the hardeward buttons. I called Dell customer support and got a third world country (one of many reasons why I despise Dell). They confirmed the monitor is defective. I call B&H and they tell me to ship it back and then they'll send me a new one. I say that will take 10 days and AMAZON and other retailers would ship a new one immediately and then send you a prepaid label that would start a credit immediately at drop off at a UPS location. B&H said in order for me to get a new monitor that is not broken more quickly, I would need to purchase a second one. I did that. Two day shipping was included. They had to adjust the price because the monitor had already gone up in price. Monday (the third day after the order) the unit had not even shipped. I emailed B&H they said that I had ordered too late on Friday. But I had ordered before noon (pac time). Regarding returns: I looked at my RMA and label. They had issues a label that said I had to pay for return shipping. Aggravated I emailed them. Two days later they changed it to a prepaid UPS label. I dropped it off withing a few hours to Staples (a UPS location) and send photos of the proof of drop off to them. I still must wait for it to be returned by ground delivery to them for a refund. Compared to the flawless service of AMAZON, I would recommend them over and over and over again compared to B&H audio. All I got B&H was I'm sorry 10 times. Finally they threw in one day overnight shipping but at this point that is little consolation to me given the aggravation with this order
