After many purchases from B&H I really trust them. I cancelled my amazon prime subscription because most items I would buy off amazon I can get from B&H, and I got tired of wondering if I was going to get a genuine product in the mail from amazon. They always have what I need(primarily photography equipment) at a reasonable price, pack it well for shipping, and ship fast. One of the few companies I would feel comfortable asking for purchasing advice.
My name is Marco, and I'm from Brazil. I made an international purchase on the B&H website on 11/26/24, with delivery scheduled for 11/27/24. I work in content creation and recording for the internet, and I purchased an SSL2 interface. The delivery address was in Kissimmee, FL. This order was to be brought to me by a friend. I tracked the delivery on the B&H website, and the package arrived on 11/27/24. I contacted my friend to confirm if everything was correct. To my surprise, the product didn't arrive. I checked the FedEx website and saw that the package had been sent to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503. I contacted B&H to report the issue, and their response was that the product had been delivered and that nothing could be done. They said their website confirms delivery data before completing the purchase, which didn't happen in my case, as no such confirmation appeared for me. I double-checked the Kissimmee, FL address before completing the order. It's important to mention that earlier this year, I made another purchase through B&H to the same address, and everything went smoothly. However, this situation is much more serious. Outraged by this delivery error, I started researching online and found other serious reports of customers facing similar issues, and it seems that these occurrences are being completely ignored. In my opinion, there are signs of a scheme where criminals are compromising B&H's website, possibly using USB devices in places with internet access that prevent IP identification. These intruders interfere with the purchase process, redirect products to alternate addresses, and no one notices, not even B&H. I wrote to the company asking them not to ignore my report, as they have a great reputation, and this is jeopardizing their legacy. Please consider the following: How could I have specifically directed the shipment to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503? I wouldn't have known how to detail that address. I have no personal or professional connections to anyone in that region. If I had received any notification about a different address, I would have noticed the error and corrected it immediately before completing the purchase. Why was this address concealed, and why wasn't I notified? I only discovered this Massachusetts address on FedEx's website, as it was never shown to me. This situation clearly indicates a serious problem. Please understand that I am facing both a financial loss and a serious impact on my work. I am a digital content creator who depends on this equipment and trusted your store. As an American company, I believe B&H should value consumer rights. I've asked them not to ignore this issue. There are clear signs of fraud that will continue unless addressed. Finally, considering the clear security failure in B&H's online transaction system, I understand that B&H holds co-responsibility for completing this compromised transaction. I should not be penalized for the vulnerability of B&H's system. I have requested a solution beyond the responses of "we can't do anything" or "you wrote the wrong address." I need this product to continue my work. I've provided my phone number here in Brazil in the hope of a real solution to this issue. Thank you for your attention, and I eagerly await a satisfactory response from B&H.
I have been doing business with B&H for many, many years, and every purchase I've made with them has been perfect. I always get exactly what I pay for (exactly what I expect). You take chances buying from other sites, but never with B&H.

Just got my MixPre-6. Did some of my 1st testing with it at home today.
It is fairly easy to use so far. I like the way you can just push the volume number to whatever channel and a manu for that channel pops up on the screen. The recordings do sound really good.
One disappointment is it will only give phantom power to 2 mics (you can pick which channel you want to set that way).
It's kind of a hassle to make the cable connections with the case that I bought, so I think I will just use that to protect it when I carry it around, but will use it without the case most of the time when recording. I look forward to doing my 1st band recording with this soon. So far I am impressed with this.

I suscribe to their catalog which is great. Everything is always great at this place. I've bought numerous times from them and I've yet to have anything but a great experience. I've placed dozens of orders online with B&H over the years for everything camera gear to laptops. All but once I've had a flawless experience, and on that occasion where I did have trouble (which was entirely because of the courier, not B&H), B&H went above and beyond to make it right. B&H are a great example of how to do eCommerce right in the age of Amazon.

I've spent probably well over $20,000, including 2 Canon 5D's, four L series lenses, enough LED lighting gear to shoot feature films with, and plenty of accessories (light-stands, filters, gels, bags/hard-cases, and printers) with B&H over the past 10 years. And I don't think I will ever stop doing business with them. Never had a problem with any of my orders.

I bought a Nikon camera and it had a problem and they were happy to send another one which was also defective and I returned it and purchased one direct from Nikon. The serial number on the camera from Nikon was in the high 5, xxx, xxx but both cameras purchased through B&H had serial numbers in the low 3, xxx, xxx and both defective leading me to the conclusion that these were returned defective and repackaged without repair as these very popular cameras had oddly been in the retail stream for well over a year and were not new though they were sold as new or they were grey market as B&H are notorious for. Always buy cameras factory direct or you will get defective clearinghouse items or grey market items with no warranty.

Buy camera factory direct and pay the extra few % in price for guaranteed quality and warranty.

I ordered a lens through them. It wasn't in stock at the time and they warned me there would be a delay. I missed a call from them, but they emailed me about the delay. I agreed to it and later on they charged me when the item was in stock, and shipped it. Good job BH

I think if you pay through PayPal it's charged immediately, whereas credit card orders are charged on shipping. Not too sure on this.

I spent 3 days looking at small all-in-one printers on the internet. Wading through ads and advertising is a nightmare. I checked out the B&H photo website, saw a couple of printers that suited me and asked all of my questions via their excellent chat service. I ended up with a different printer that much better suited my needs of small size, excellent reviews, high quality software, wireless operation, inexpensive refills of ink and light weight for under $250.00. Additionally, my new printer has a sleek, attractive design and fits with my decor! Who would have thought that that was possible?! Excellent company and assistance. It would be closed though for selling an instrument that COULD POSSIBLY invade someone's privacy. I'm sick and tired of the PC BS. My wife and I were shopping at B&H for years, both ordering on-line and coming into the store in NYC when we happen to be there (from New Jersey). Store is large with tremendous selection of goods, nice and knowledgeable staff, shipping is always on-time and overall quality of offered products are above average with reasonable affordable pricing.

I have been using BH for equipment and advice for over a decade. It is just easy and right. The best story I can tell is when, years ago, I was on film shoot in North Carolina and our Director of Photography realized that he was missing a specific attachment and a lens. I first heard about this company from a photo journalist instructor I had who mentioned that they are the best place to go for DSLR cameras. I have not needed a camera from them but but they have stuff before most competitors.
Tip for consumers:
Call and ask for advice from the staff. And don't buy things based on price I think they might keep their inventory unusually high by keeping older expensive products around whereas others might take those things off the shelves

This is the first time I used B&H Photo. I ordered an Olympus TG4 camera and the more expensive add-on telephoto lens. I received the telephoto lens box with a less expensive fish-lens inside the telephoto box. In addition, there was no paperwork in the box. Seems to me I received a return or refurbished item when ordering and paying for a new item. B&H was happy to send me a return shipping label and replace the item once they received the return. I would be charged for the lens a second time if I wanted it next day air. If time is of the essence, be careful ordering from B&H and check you items very carefully. I was not happy with the outcome of this and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I had gone though with this site for buying a new camera for me. This www.bhphotovideo.com service is not giving a proper description about the product. So this is difficult to understanding the product appropriately. Therefore I took www.dpreview.com site for purchasing a new camera. They are giving better details than this site.

B&H offers free shipping to the 48 states but there are 50 states in America. Why is Hawaii and Alaska any different? I've always had to pay A LOT in shipping to Hawaii. Recently B&H has been offering free or really really reduced shipping charges to Hawaii. My last order was free shipping and my recent order was $. 16. I usually order from Amazon Prime but if B&H continues down this route I will start ordering from them again. I've spent and a lot of other Hawaii Photographers and videographers (I know) spent a lot of money on camera gear at Amazon that B&H never saw. Smart move on B&H's part in getting Hawaii customers back.

I've been familiar with B&H's reputation as the top store in New York (and possibly the US) for camera gear so when I decided to purchase my cinema camera through them and have purchased nearly every other piece of lighting, audio and camera equipment through them. I love the selection of quality used gear as well. I live in the LA area but B&H is still my store of choice, whether it's online or in person when I'm actually in NYC. Their selection and quality service cannot be beat!
Tip for consumers:
Try not to spend your entire life savings in one purchase. B&H occasionally has great deals that pop up with huge discounts on the gear you may be looking for. When they do, make sure to grab them right away before they sell out so you don't miss out on saving 20-40% on a piece of gear you want or you might not get another chance at that low of a price.

My son told me he wanted a "shoulder rig with auto focus" for the DSLR he shoots movies in his film classes with. I had no idea what he was talking about, and his 19-year-old explanation left me a little less in the dark but still a bit puzzled. When I plugged "shoulder rig with auto focus" into the B&H site, however--all was revealed! They even let me narrow the search for what would work with a DSLR. Cross-indexing what I saw on their site, with what my son told me, I bought him the perfect Christmas Gift!
