After many purchases from B&H I really trust them. I cancelled my amazon prime subscription because most items I would buy off amazon I can get from B&H, and I got tired of wondering if I was going to get a genuine product in the mail from amazon. They always have what I need(primarily photography equipment) at a reasonable price, pack it well for shipping, and ship fast. One of the few companies I would feel comfortable asking for purchasing advice.
My name is Marco, and I'm from Brazil. I made an international purchase on the B&H website on 11/26/24, with delivery scheduled for 11/27/24. I work in content creation and recording for the internet, and I purchased an SSL2 interface. The delivery address was in Kissimmee, FL. This order was to be brought to me by a friend. I tracked the delivery on the B&H website, and the package arrived on 11/27/24. I contacted my friend to confirm if everything was correct. To my surprise, the product didn't arrive. I checked the FedEx website and saw that the package had been sent to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503. I contacted B&H to report the issue, and their response was that the product had been delivered and that nothing could be done. They said their website confirms delivery data before completing the purchase, which didn't happen in my case, as no such confirmation appeared for me. I double-checked the Kissimmee, FL address before completing the order. It's important to mention that earlier this year, I made another purchase through B&H to the same address, and everything went smoothly. However, this situation is much more serious. Outraged by this delivery error, I started researching online and found other serious reports of customers facing similar issues, and it seems that these occurrences are being completely ignored. In my opinion, there are signs of a scheme where criminals are compromising B&H's website, possibly using USB devices in places with internet access that prevent IP identification. These intruders interfere with the purchase process, redirect products to alternate addresses, and no one notices, not even B&H. I wrote to the company asking them not to ignore my report, as they have a great reputation, and this is jeopardizing their legacy. Please consider the following: How could I have specifically directed the shipment to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503? I wouldn't have known how to detail that address. I have no personal or professional connections to anyone in that region. If I had received any notification about a different address, I would have noticed the error and corrected it immediately before completing the purchase. Why was this address concealed, and why wasn't I notified? I only discovered this Massachusetts address on FedEx's website, as it was never shown to me. This situation clearly indicates a serious problem. Please understand that I am facing both a financial loss and a serious impact on my work. I am a digital content creator who depends on this equipment and trusted your store. As an American company, I believe B&H should value consumer rights. I've asked them not to ignore this issue. There are clear signs of fraud that will continue unless addressed. Finally, considering the clear security failure in B&H's online transaction system, I understand that B&H holds co-responsibility for completing this compromised transaction. I should not be penalized for the vulnerability of B&H's system. I have requested a solution beyond the responses of "we can't do anything" or "you wrote the wrong address." I need this product to continue my work. I've provided my phone number here in Brazil in the hope of a real solution to this issue. Thank you for your attention, and I eagerly await a satisfactory response from B&H.

Re: preorders, if you need or want your product or merchandise within a reasonable amount of time, DO NOT PREORDER with B&H. I placed my pre order of the macbook air on 11/23/18... after written inquiry, several calls, several estimated restock dates. On 12/4/2018 I was told it would be up to 10 more days, MAYBE. The customer service rep. Was very quiet and unconcerned which resulted in cancellation of my order which he was able to do without question or attempt to resolve before the call ended I received an email that the order was cancelled, which was not what I wanted but the response time was better. Just an FYI... ITS NOT WORTH IT

Fedex has a returned order in its New Jersey warehouse, AND HAS NOT RETURNED IT TO B&H New Jersey warehouse after 10 days, even after2 requests for B&H customer service (they told me...)
As a result B&H does not issue a credit.

I ordered a Joby tripod for my iPhone on Wednesday and at the same time ordered some other items from Amazon; B&H had it pulled, packed, shipped, tracked, and in my hands (no shipping charge) before Amazon has even gotten around to pulling my order! I assume Amazon has me on slo-mo since I opted for free shipping, but I will think twice and more thoroughly check B&H before waiting for Slo-mo-zon again.

I typically order from Amazon, but due to promised, but non-existent 2-day delivery and two very expensive Amazon items that somehow disappeared after being received at a UPS waypoint, I decided to try B&H. Two monitors later, wow! Free two-day shipping that actually is two-day shipping (from FedEx, no less)! One monitor was DOA. Called their customer service and experienced a seamless return. Agent asked about the monitor specs I was looking for in a replacement, and helped me identify a Samsung Odyssey Neo G7, a much better choice than my original one, which I'm definitely enjoying now. Just now ordered a Laptop Cooler, which are typically USB-powered. I had looked for an hour or more for a cooler that was AC-powered (I'm out of USB ports on my laptop), and couldn't find one. I then went to B&H to buy a USB-powered cooler and a USB Hub. Low and behold, B&H offered a third-party USB wall charger and cable as an accessory for the cooling pad I wanted! That shows how close to the customer they are! Bottom line? Best E-store on the planet

@All_customers: I ordered a dive light ($300) which happened to be defective (one of the main functions is absent) when the product was *******@Non-US customers: I paid the import taxes together with my purchase - after the defective product was sent back to B&H, the replacement light was sent to me without pre-paid import taxes. On behalf of the customs, the carrier thus requested $75 that I had to pay before they deliver the parcel. Although I have paid two times the import taxes, B&H refuses to reimburse me one of these._____________@B&H:
1) May I recall that I have email exchanges with the B&H customer service since September? All B&H messages automatically start with "Thank you for contacting the Customer Service Department at B&H Photo Video and Pro Audio.", and end with "Please let me know if you require any further assistance.", but no solution, including any commercial gesture, is proposed to the customer.
2) European customs apply the same process as the US ones (as links are not allowed in reviews, please go to help.cbp.gov and check for Drawback - fees collected upon importation of goods). When a product is imported, if this product leaves the country for any reason (in this case, a defect of a brand new item sold by B&H), it is the task of the payer (in this case, B&H who provides the payment on behalf of the customer) to file the drawback claim.
Actually, imagine that, following the discovery of the defect, the customer has requested a full refund of the payment from B&H – in such case, there will be no sending of any replacement item.
Needless to say, the sending of a second item is considered by Europe or US' customs as the import of another product, i.e., taxes need to be paid by someone (sender or receiver) – in this case, the customer had no choice than paying these taxes in order to get the product delivered by the carrier.

Thank you for your order and this feedback. We regret your dissatisfaction. The original transaction was dated 08/09/22. The second shipment was processed on 08/29/22. After this much time has elapsed there is little that can be done to alter this situation. For the first order, the customer conveyed VAT to us for us to convey to his government on his behalf as a convenience. The VAT was not paid to us and we did not receive it. For the second order we informed the shipper this was a warranty replacement transaction. It is up to his government to accept that declaration. I started purchasing from B&H, because Adorama sold me a grey market lens, and when i confronted them, they tried to gaslight and never offered apology. Sooo...
I purchased Nikon z6ii, and... yup... grey market camera!
I called and the CSR pointed out that it said "imported", but when i put it in my cart it did NOT say that. I know bc ever since my Adorama experience i check that. She then proceeds to tell me the item number for the US version, as that is specific. While she's talking, i do 3 searches... one from my work phone, laptop, and tablet... they all return the US version, so i scroll to see if there's a listing for the imported... nothing. She say..."you must have bought the last one. Yeah... that's it.
Then I get connected to a supervisor, Rosie, who is less than helpful. We exchanged words and she finally says well if you send that today to FedEx I can get it out today, otherwise we will send it once we receive yours back. I told her I have been a customer for years and if bought tons of equipment from them. Despite that this was their fault, and I needed this immediately. I tell her that I ordered this because I needed to get acclimated because I have a shoot next week, and I said after next week who knows maybe I'll end up returning this one. And then she says well if you were thinking about returning it, then the offer is rescinded we won't mail you out another one today.
So B&H f'd up.

I order from them online and I have shopped in-store once. Literally my only complaint (and the reason I'm rating 4 and not 5 stars) is that in store, when I asked for Kodak Gold film I was given Kodak Ultramax. When you check out it is pre-bagged and ready for you and the long lines need to keep moving, so I wasn't able to check what was in my bag until I had left the store and I could find no way to switch it out or exchange it in the time that I was in New York City.
