After many purchases from B&H I really trust them. I cancelled my amazon prime subscription because most items I would buy off amazon I can get from B&H, and I got tired of wondering if I was going to get a genuine product in the mail from amazon. They always have what I need(primarily photography equipment) at a reasonable price, pack it well for shipping, and ship fast. One of the few companies I would feel comfortable asking for purchasing advice.
My name is Marco, and I'm from Brazil. I made an international purchase on the B&H website on 11/26/24, with delivery scheduled for 11/27/24. I work in content creation and recording for the internet, and I purchased an SSL2 interface. The delivery address was in Kissimmee, FL. This order was to be brought to me by a friend. I tracked the delivery on the B&H website, and the package arrived on 11/27/24. I contacted my friend to confirm if everything was correct. To my surprise, the product didn't arrive. I checked the FedEx website and saw that the package had been sent to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503. I contacted B&H to report the issue, and their response was that the product had been delivered and that nothing could be done. They said their website confirms delivery data before completing the purchase, which didn't happen in my case, as no such confirmation appeared for me. I double-checked the Kissimmee, FL address before completing the order. It's important to mention that earlier this year, I made another purchase through B&H to the same address, and everything went smoothly. However, this situation is much more serious. Outraged by this delivery error, I started researching online and found other serious reports of customers facing similar issues, and it seems that these occurrences are being completely ignored. In my opinion, there are signs of a scheme where criminals are compromising B&H's website, possibly using USB devices in places with internet access that prevent IP identification. These intruders interfere with the purchase process, redirect products to alternate addresses, and no one notices, not even B&H. I wrote to the company asking them not to ignore my report, as they have a great reputation, and this is jeopardizing their legacy. Please consider the following: How could I have specifically directed the shipment to 166 Bristol Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601, *******503? I wouldn't have known how to detail that address. I have no personal or professional connections to anyone in that region. If I had received any notification about a different address, I would have noticed the error and corrected it immediately before completing the purchase. Why was this address concealed, and why wasn't I notified? I only discovered this Massachusetts address on FedEx's website, as it was never shown to me. This situation clearly indicates a serious problem. Please understand that I am facing both a financial loss and a serious impact on my work. I am a digital content creator who depends on this equipment and trusted your store. As an American company, I believe B&H should value consumer rights. I've asked them not to ignore this issue. There are clear signs of fraud that will continue unless addressed. Finally, considering the clear security failure in B&H's online transaction system, I understand that B&H holds co-responsibility for completing this compromised transaction. I should not be penalized for the vulnerability of B&H's system. I have requested a solution beyond the responses of "we can't do anything" or "you wrote the wrong address." I need this product to continue my work. I've provided my phone number here in Brazil in the hope of a real solution to this issue. Thank you for your attention, and I eagerly await a satisfactory response from B&H.

I purchased several items from B&H Photo between last year 2021 and this year 2022 and I have generally been pleased. The availability of certain high end telescopes and equipment, beats the in stock availability of the other online stores and the back order wait time for popular top brand telescopes, is much less than all the other top online stores. The only issue is that B&H charges and collects tax when shopping for its online products, when some of the other stores don't charge tax and in order to get products tax free on B&H, you have to apply for a special store credit card, which is not necessary with other online stores, in order to get many similar items tax free. There was a small issue with a connector on my telescope that has a slight fault in it, which is annoying but I would have to blame that on Celestron, the telescope's manufacturer, so overall I am generally pleased with B&H Photo, especially because of its ability to keep products in stock and its relatively short back order wait time and its expedited shipping.

What they "forget" to say in their replay is that only 2 days of silence from their part, I've sent 3 emails in which the question was:"What's happening with my pack?"they sent me an email in which they informed me that the product is out of stock! If I didn't ask for my pack, from their part was the same silence! And regarding the money, I didn't receive a proof for the refund! Only... the sames nice words! This is the way they proceed with a client. Only if you insist to know where are your money, they react! Good way to trate a client! Congratulations!. It's very easy to make a good site, to sell products that you don't have anymore to take the money from stupid people like me(at the bank you have to pay interest, so is better like this) and only and if they claim, to give them money back after 1-2 weeks. It's a free loan from stupid people, like me! If you receive the money back! I didn't! Maybe you are more lucky! If you dare!

The Seagate 4TB Expansion does not include a backup program which is a large problem. I read Seagate description on their website and understood that it came pre-loaded with a backup program.

I called B&H today and waited 6-8 mins and when the lazy slug got on the line he mumbled his name which I couldn't understand. I clearly identified who I was... then said I had bought a DJI Mavic Two Pro in 2018 and was never charged sales tax on that purchase, and wondered why I was having to pay sales tax on the one I was going to order today? He mumbled something like "lemme check on that for you" and he was immediately gone before I could say a word. Next thing I hear is a recording saying "your call will be taken in the order it was received. The slack bum had hung up on me! THIS IS NOT A RANDOM OCCURENCE,,, IT WAS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE!

The answer to your question about sales tax is that in June 2018 the Supreme Court ruled (in South Dakota v. Wayfair) that states can mandate that businesses without a physical presence in a state with more than 200 transactions or $100,000 in-state sales collect and remit sales taxes on transactions in the state. I tired of carrying my DSLR and associated lenses, etc and decided to go to a Point and Shoot (P&S) camera. I had read a great deal and having owned a Nikon D-60 DSLR for a period of time, was concerned primarily with picture quality in going from a DSLR with large sensor to a P&S with much smaller sensor. For 3 solid months, give or take, I diligently, researched all P&S cameras as well as "mirrorless cameras" currently on the market. I went to 'handle' the cameras I was interested in (see below) and to Flickr on the internet and queried some groups regarding the cameras I was considering. I am a hobbyist when it comes to photography but, I was obsessed with getting as close to the superior photo quality of a DSLR as possible in a P&S. I finally decided on the Leica due to (what I believe to be) superior photo quality and excellent in-camera jpeg processing.

Love their computers, They are easy to deal with and answer questions quick n courteous... however it was such a hassle to deal with their checkout process! $6,000 and they cannot, willnot, refusenot? SLIPKNOT! (the band heehee) they won't split a payment. I cannot give them 4k in cash and then the rest on a credit card... WHY!?!
