The blinds I got look very nice, but the cord is extremely difficult to operate. What I called the company, nobody was able to help. I called on a Sunday when they don't have people who are actually able to help with the product or installation.

I purchased a small vertical blind on 7/21/24. The blind was delivered on time. I installed the blind and immediately noticed a problem with how the slats were hanging. The slats were closing properly at the top and middle of the blind. The slats were flaring away from the wall and each other at the bottom of the blind. I cleaned the slats several times with water thinking the problem was static electricity. The cleaning did not help. I contacted Blindsgalore about the situation and received a lot of "so sorry" responses but no solution. I was told by their agent, Alex, that they had to contact the manufacturer. This went on for several days and I sent several requested photos. The whole process went silent. This told me I was out of luck and nothing would be done to resolve my problem. The answer was simple, replace the nine slats with a heavier slat. Nothing was done. I suggest customers use Blinds.com for their blind needs.

Tip for consumers:
I am very disappointed in the way Blindsgalore pushed my problem aside. Alex, their agent, spent most of his time pointing a finger at the manufacturer.

Blinds arrived without damage and within time frame. Installation was easy for one person. I ordered color samples ahead of time so I knew exactly what my blinds would look like and they looked exactly as expected. There was a child safety guard covering the chain which I promptly removed because there are no children in this home. Blinds go up, blinds go down. Smooth action and easy to use. My condo has never been darker at night, can't wait to see how much these blind help next summer.

I called to ask about the mounting bracket spacing when installing blinds end to end over a wall of windows. The agent gave me the required information and I was able to order my blinds correctly on the first try.

We received our order but the first blind we went to install was missing all of the mounting hardware and the pieces that hold the valance in place. We are both very experienced with creating working drawings and construction and the instructions were absolutely horrible. It made a very easy task so convoluted and difficult to figure out what needed to be done. Having a different mounting bracket shown then what we had added to the confusion. We got them hung. Ended up having to purchase hardware. Still waiting on clips to attach the valance. Ultimately once I get that I might re evaluate stars. I like tge ease of the remote but the directions for programming that were not any better.

No response and no hardware yest. Will revaluate stars if we get hardware. And clips to attach valance.

I waited many weeks for the blind to be delivered. I had measured to install inside the window frame, and have installed many blinds that way in the past. I didn't realize that the metal hardware would be clearly visible at the top of the top of the frame; I've never seen anything like this before. The blind itself has the appearance as it was described, but the quality of the slats seems only fair; they are lightweight and flimsy, and appears vulnerable to breaking or splitting.

Ordering these was as easy as it always is. I've ordered several sets of blinds from you over the years. The product is quality. The lead time is fairly substantial, and for the first time, I didn't get my initial choice, as the specific color I wanted wasn't available?! Also, these blinds are VERY hard to twist with the wand. So-much-so that it bears mentioning. My alternate color is acceptable, however, and will accent the flooring and decor. The room-darkening effect, when closed, is also what I was looking for in this room.

You guys emailed me to inform me that my first-choice of colors was not available. The emails were clear, and I was chose another color, which was confirmed.

As a former architect/builder, I have experience doing general and complex home maintenance projects. The online ordering process was straight forward and the duration from order date to receipt of the shade was relatively short. The shade was well packaged with bubble wrap in a durable cardboard box. Installation instructions were simple enough to follow with simple tools most people have around the house. Other than leaning over the counter to install it in the window opening, it was a breese.

Reason I chose this business:

I did an extensive online search. I was looking for a specific type of shade that has pull cords, as that is what we have now. I found out that due to new regulations on shades and blinds, loose cords were deemed illegal, but the loop cord was still available, go figure! Not very many online companies are still selling the corded shades. But if you are older, or have a shorter reach, the non-corded type shade handicaps the user is situations where one has to lean over a counter. The corded shade was the only option.

The vertical blinds we purchased were well-priced, but the fabric slats are far thinner (and thus more translucent) than others we considered. The quality of manufacture is still good. We were expecting delivery to take no more than 2 weeks but they were finally delivered after 3 weeks.

The customer service agent explained why our order wouldn't track with the shipping company even though it had been shipped

This was our 3rd home using Blindsgalore. Ordering was ok but it was difficult to get shipping updates. The blinds are pretty awful. You have to pull so hard to get them down I don't think they'll last very long. Already the clips are breaking off having to pull so hard. Maybe next year I'll throw out these $660 blinds and start over with another company. Will never use Blindsgalore again.

This order was a replacement for an original shade that simply stopped working. It took a while to get and there was a mix up in the order. But eventually it all worked fine. Blinds Galore took care of the cost of the replacement shade but I had to pay for the 4 visits my installer had to make. FYI - Blinds Galore does NOT cover this cost at all.
