S tricky to log in into my own website in order to update it. Help is very sporadic. I end up chatting with a robot that repeats the same useless question.

WordPress issues

Normally I've had really great service with BH. Five-star worthy. The tech team is outstanding until today. It did take two calls and I still don't believe that the issue is corrected. I had a major redo on a site and decided to remove WP and install another fresh WP. The tech finally did the installation for me but the issue is that there is much more effort many because I have a certain way I do the base install. It makes it easier when you have 35+ sites to manage.

Excellent, Efficient Service

I contacted Bluehost support for issues with my website. I was very nervous thinking I had made an irreversible error when a member of the Bluehost team calmed my fears and assured me that they could help me resolve my issue.

It is has truly difficult to navigate Blue Host so far! I have had an account for several months and have yet to have a chance to blog or post anything because I am totally confused. It is probably my own fault but I don't even know where to look to find help. Oh well.

Your useless customer service representative had me on hold for nearly an hour to fix something that she couldn't even figure out, yet when I put my mind to it and figured out what it was, took me all of 3 minutes to fix. I will be moving to Squarespace because their editing software is user friendly.

Because of a system update that your company performed it left my website down then when we tried to use the backup the website no longer works or functions how it once did. The first 2 people who "helped" me didn't punch in the correct information to get the help that was needed. On my third contact to you guys the help desk guy finally punched in the information needed to help me. Unfortunately it ended up doing no good.

The new steps to log in is absolutely tedious. And to have an ad pop up before the log in? After I already pay a lot of money for this service is not what I've paid for. I want to log in quick, easy and safely. I don't need to have advertisement shoved in my face. Quite frankly I've been looking elsewhere last few months and have really wanted to quit your service altogether...not happy customer.

I have received a lot of great help from customer service. My only complaint is the amount of time it takes for each step to be implemented. One step took up to a week! But everyone I talked to was very nice & helpful.

YOUR panel is amazing. Very user friendly. Very easy. Even a person without any knowledge, can do their own webpage in less than hour. Rest is to only loading to pictures and test. You are the best for me. So clear. What ever i am looking there is in the menu and so easy find & understood & figure it out. Even with my limited english.

Requiring a unique 6 digit pin is wildly inconvenient and insecure. I never use this for anything and have to store it somewhere where it might be compromised. Two factor is much better and should be available as an option.

Observations on Bluehost

Sometimes a little slow to get to sites, but overall good experience. One issue appeared when the PHP version was upgraded and all my WP sites stopped working. Technical support, however, was excellent and had me getting them all back and running very quickly.

New customer service system and queueing brings a bad customer experience. Numerous hosting issues with DNS. Response time of issues is as bad as more than 3 weeks. I deeply regret seeing service deteriorate so much in this past year.

A very unethical company. I signed up and paid top dollar for a 2 year plan. The first year was fine, but as the second year started, I then started to get hit with an outrageous bill to renew my domain registration. OK, I can easily just transfer it to reasonable domain registry company, so i do that. Then when i get my domain transfer confirmation from Bluehost, they tell me they are going to cancel all my services (even my hosting that I have paid another year for in advance). I contacted their customer service and spent half an hour trying to explain to them that domain registry and a web host do not have to be the same company and are completely independent things. After wasting a ton of time, it finally got it straightened out. I am looking forward to finishing my second year, so I can completely get away from this horrible company. Don't walk, RUN from Blue Host.
