I haven't had any issue with this company. I only called because I forgot my login info and nothing I tried was working. I called Customer Service (had to hold for about 5 or 10 minutes, no big deal) and got Gabriela. She resolved my concerns in less time than I was on hold, lol! She was professional and friendly. Thank you, Gabriela! Sincerely, Charla C.
I took up what I thought was a 7 day trial only to find they had taken my money straight out of Paypal the same day. I tried to get it back with several emails only to be told there is no refund but they have cancelled the auto-renewal which was not set anyway. All I wanted was to try it with 1 card. I was told after waiting a long time for an answer that delaying sending a card by 1 day is not allowed on a trial (which it did not state) therefore I started a full membership. They clearly mis lead people in order to get their money.

Tip for consumers:
I've had Blue Mountain membership since March 2022 and haven't experienced any issue or inconsistency with what was promised when I signed up.

I signed up for the 7-day free trial, for which you have to give your card details so they can start billing you after the trial ends. Except my mobile banking app showed that the site took the monthly amount within seconds of signing up!
I wanted a nice e-card for valentine's day for my wife who was abroad at the time. Click the "send to Facebook" link and it says it's sent, but never asked for where and (obviously) never arrives anywhere. So I copied the link and pasted it on my wife's FB page. Instead of a nice intro photo, it appears as an advert for the company and explains what it is and where to buy it! Might as well put the wording of a physical card on the outside of the envelope, and leave the price ticket on.
Hideous company - have asked my card company to charge back asap.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid like the plaque - terrible service and will take money without permission

I signed up for a trial period only.
Blue Mountain then automatically charge me a monthly fee using the credit card on file.
This was unauthorized. Upon writing to them they claim no refund policy and some jabber about continuous enrollment.
This is undeclared.
Don't give out your credit card number to anyone on line. It gives them access forever with or without your consent.
Lesson learned here.
I have subscribed off and on again for years. I currently live overseas (originally from US). I've let the subscription slip here and there (paid without using it) because $20 for a year is nothing. Anyone who feels cheated is obviously full of it, btw. How do you not know you're entering your cc info? So I'm giving them 5 stars because they actually read my email, in which I admitted my mistake (cancelled on renewal date). I was kind, I was humble. I was honest. And guess what? They refunded my money and were super nice about it.
This site looks friendly but introduce an auto-renew of initial subscription. This is done with very small print and will hit your bank account a year after perhaps sending an initial card. They offer no refund if you feel you were misled. This is very unfair.
When the renewal dropped on my account I had forgotten all about Bluemountain from a year before and assumed it was a fraud. After tracing with PayPal I found it was linked to me. But I got no warning of the upcoming renewal from Bluemountain or any notification from them that they had taken my money to renew. Only the PayPal email.

Also have been a paying member for years but after renewing again within the last two month I'm still being asked to join when I log on? Can't get through the maze of questions and pages that pop up asking me to join after I log in?
I had to sign up to get a birthday card. The website says one can cancel any time, or ELSE, they charge you every month. I quickly tried to cancel, to find that I had to actually call someone. Of course, they were having "heavier than usual phone traffic" so I had to leave my number. All of that process took about 5 minutes and I'm still waiting for the call back. Not simple. Kind of a rip off and very obviously meant to frustrate you so you don't continue with the ridiculous cancellation process.
I went to their site to send ecard for a birthday for tomorrow. I chose the $6.99 option for one month trial. Their system defaulted to one year membership fee, after they had my credit card info for automatic renewals and no place on their site to edit this membership. And, their site also says "no card pending to be sent", even though I'd chosen one. Then, I did a search and find numerous complaints on 4 complaint sites of this happening to others. So, within the hour, I called my credit card company to block my account and reverse the charge which was already pending, and to get new card. I'll have to take time to follow up on this, after it has posted, as well as warn my card recipient of any solicitations, because they also have her info. What a hassle. Beware.
I have now tried 5 times to cancel my account. I click on the "Do Not Renew" and "Save Changes". However when I go back in a couple of minutes later, it has AGAIN defaulted to "Renew". I am absolutely furious and cannot figure out how to fix this. There is no apparent way to cancel the card number on their site.
Tip for consumers:
It's impossible to cancel your account and they keep charging in spite of checking "Do not Renew". It just keeps defaulting to "Renew" and they go ahead and charge. I have tried 5 times to cancel this account.

I tried out the free membership by sending one birthday card. But just before the final "send", I was asked to activate my membership. I did. Turned out that put me onto a paid membership. It was not clear. Why would I pay now on the very first day of a free trial? When I wrote in about it, the reply told me to enjoy my year-long paid membership! That I didn't want and didn't know I had signed up for.

This is an online greeting card company. I sent one greeting card. I signed up for a free trial. Turns out in a free trial you can't delay the sending of the card. But the company doesn't tell you that until it's too late. I am now stuck with a paid one year membership I didn't want.
The only way to cancel the automatic payments for the subscription is going through your bank or PayPal. Their cancellation menu is purposefully designed to keep you paying. Even after I went through the process multiple times, they still charged me. I finally went through Paypal directly. Use a different service they are not worth it!
Tip for consumers:
Use a different service for your eCards!!
I sent a card with the free trial, then cancelled. Little did I know that in fact I still had a monthly subscription. My husband pays the Visa bill, so I didn't see this charge was happening. Over a year later, I received an email telling me that "my monthly subscription was renewing and this is the charge." According to customer service, they send an email before each renewal - so every month. Nope, never got those. If I had, I would have called them to cancel way before this. They can only refund back 6 months. It does appear that it is cancelled now. We'll see. (BTW - Hallmark runs a similar scam. You think you've cancelled, but unless you stop the autopay separately, you still pay. You don't have a subscription, but you pay. Unbelievable.)
I was appalled to discover that I'd been paying a monthly subscription to Blue Mountain for the past 3 years! Shame on me for not reviewing my credit card statement more closely. Shame on them for charging me for a service I did not sign up for or use. I thought I was sending a 'free card', but in submitting my contact information, evidently, I was signing up for a monthly subscription. Over those 3 years, I never used the subscription. Blue Mountain never contacted me to find out why. They just kept billing. Quite a business model: dupe customers into signing up for a service they don't use and then continue to send them stealth bills!

I signed up for a 7 day free trial 6/28/23. I was charged for 1 yr beginning 6/28/23. I sent email, no response. I tried calling and was asked to select a number well that didn't work and it hung up on me. There is no other way to reach them.
Terrible customer service, don't sign up!
I sent a birthday card in December after filling out my card and information. I signed up for first month free but my credit card was charged. I never received a notice that they put a charge on my card. I found it accidentally when reviewing my charges. I went to their site and my account showed I was going to be charged again in January. Do not believe them when they say anything is free.
NOT RECOMMENDED. Non-Existent Customer Service. Costly Billing Errors.
While the web site is very good, rather cool, be prepared for a bad experience if you need any customer service or have a billing dispute.
A had a very unfortunate experience. I have been billed $4.99 every month from Blue Mountain, after cancelling my membership within the trial period, and several
Times thereafter. Blue Mountain maintains I have no membership, yet they
Continue billing me monthly. Their systems and customer service seem incapable
Of solving the most routine billing errors.
My experience has been that Blue Mountain Customer Service is non-existent on
Their phone line (note that it is not possible to speak to a representative)
And valueless via their e-mail / website.
I strongly urge you to find another e-card provider before you find yourselves
In an inconvenient billing dispute.
Thank you.
I bought a card from them for my daughter in law. A year later I got a notice that my subscription was renewing, but I had not created a membership. They charged me every month for a year for one card. Customer service said their policy was not to refund monthly memberships. Don't use this card company - you will get screwed.
My experience is similar to the others'. I signed up for the trial and used it immediately to see if the site would work for me. It did not offer enough template flexibility and I proceeded to cancel within the hour. You cannot cancel online. I got thru on the phone and asked them to also delete my credit card info. I was looking at the credit card info online as the rep told me that they didn't store it. I couldn't get her to budge so I wrote an email back to the company. Really bad customer service. Too bad 'cause I love their cards. Will contact my bank next.
Charged me for a year then they wouldn't let me send anything saying I needed to enable my pop ups! Did everything then saw that they had taken my money promising I was good til July 2021 and underneath that it said my subscription was expired now in Sept. 2020. Will take my business elsewhere.
I am in England and many of my cards do not get delivered because the option given is a named month, not the number of the month, Therefore a card to be delivered on July 21,2014 will never be delivered as it is transposed into American date form as 7, 21, 2014 and there are not 21 months in the year. I have spent ages explaining and I just get back that my cards are being delivered. No they are not
They very recently went from fair to terrible with web site total revision. Lost the ability to see all events saved by month (eg B'days, Anniv,). No current way to bring up events by month. Unless you have some other way to remember events, it's useless. I will not renew. I find another service.
If you are looking to cancel your membership, do not use the website. Even though you will receive confirmation that your membership is cancelled it does not actually cancel and you will continue to be charged. You must call and attempt to navigate the faulty phone tree. I would recommend just not even signing up with this company and look elsewhere.

I have had Jacquie Lawson Card Co. For more than 10 years and give that one a 5 star review-no complaints, however while beautiful and some cute there are no truly laughabe cards so after several years I added Blue Mountain. Have had them for at least 5 years and 9 out of 10 cards I send are from there--due to the laughable quality. I love both companies and can't imagine getting rid of either one. I was amazed to see that B. M. seemed to have a fairly large percentage of unfavorable reviews and do not understand that at all. I am very happy with that company! JUST SO HAPPENED I SENT A BDAY CARD TO MY GRANDDAUGHTER TODAY BUT HAD ALREAD DELETED IT SO FOUND IT IN TRASH BUT IT WILL NOT COPY AND PASTE. NO CLUE HOW TO PROVE IT TO YOU. DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW ONE WOULD GET PHOTOS OF THEIR B. M. EXPERIENCE. YOU ARE PROBABLY DEALING WITH A LOT OF SENIORS AND WE DON'T ALWAYS GET THIS TECH STUFF!
