Did anyone get a letter until now about the coolant on their car breaking? I had a lease then bought the car and no Warrenty with BMW so my coolant broke in June 2022 so I got it fixed not knowing A it had to be fixed through BMW and B I just received this letter, how would I know to take it to BMW? C Why is a $50,000 car breaking at any point in time. They knew about since Feb 2022 this was going to happen and I now get a notice and had to get my car fixed because I didn't go to BMW they refuse to reimburse me. This company sucks they only care about them not the loyal customer who gets screwed because they don't know how to make a car correct. This is a total scam. They are not sending letters on purpose on people who don't have warrenty and haven't gone to BMW for service. I'll be checking with everyone about this and I will never buy another BMW again!
Exceptionally POOR Support for a 1984-91 BMW 524td engine. BMW support was as though they had never built the engine or even heard of it. Finding parts became a worldwide internet search, as USA dealers were ZERO assistance.
BMW routinely changes part numbers, but apparently leaves no reference to find it. I ended up contacting BMW's CHAIRMAN Harald Kruger with a note that lifted him off his chair. Immediate result was that BMW had found the "unobtainable" and "extinct" parts... but at DOUBLE their advertised price. They changed their part number, then doubled the price.
Was I shafted? I'll never waste another nickel with BMW and recommend the same to you.
Just Purchased a BMW X1 with 45,000 and the timing chain went. I found out the car was part of a class action lawsuit. I can't get BMW to help me! I am desperate and hoping someone can assist me!
Disappointment doesn't even begin to summarize my experience with the BMW dealership in Murray, Utah. The customer service when purchasing a BMW X5 was horrid. The deal was finalized, parties agreed on all conditions and a deposit made! Instead of finalizing the paperwork and completing the sale transaction, l was told they decided to prioritize and sell this car to an employee because they wanted it over giving it to a customer that has already solidified the purchase.
This was a horrible customer experience as this was a car I've been on the hunt for over a year, not a cheap purchase. Not sure if they disregarded me because of my accent and thought they could shuffle this to an employee without hesitation but I've never had such a disappointing experience.
How can a company stop the transaction with a customer just because an employee wanted it?
First time I found my dream car and was willing to do anything to get it and was dismissed and set aside. Spend time and prepping financials for this purchase. I do regret every second spend with BMW and have been left with a horrible feeling and taste in my mouth. This company has no right to take pride on their customer service as they do not value their customer in the least bit.
Tip for consumers:
Awful experience!
I am very disappointed with my most recent experience at Modesto BMW. I took my BMW to have 2 recalls fixed and to have the oil changed and the door locks looked at as the locks were not working properly and I would get locked in my car, this was a huge concern for me due to if I was ever in a accident I would not be able to get out of my car. I dropped my car off for the repairs with all my windows up and when I picked up my car the back drivers side window was 2 inches down, I tried to roll it up and it would not go up I pushed the button again and the window rolled all the was down and now is stuck down and will not roll up. I called and left a voicemail immediately when I got home. I received a call back today and pretty much was told to bring it back in sounds like the window regulator broke... So now I will have another expense after just paying over $1,000 and when I took the car in the window worked fine and was rolled up but received my car back with the window cracked 2 inches and the other 3 windows were rolled up. So now I have my door locks working but a window all the way down, what a waste of money. Please beware when picking up your car from the service department. I have more issues then I did when I brought it in.
I wish I had one thing positive to say. I don't. Still waiting on a return phone call. Tomorrow it will have been two weeks since I last called. Five-day callback is BMW of NA policy for dealerships. Haven't heard from either!
The BMW of Little Rock service dept. doesn't know how to repair, inform the client of real problem(s), service bulletins, critical information about vehicles, or policy. Reference Service Bulletin S1 B11 02 21.
DO NOT purchase a 2013 BMW X-3 and expect adequate service.
We took the car in to be checked out within nine calendar days of our purchase from another dealership because the drivetrain malfunction light came on. On 7/9/21 they ran diagnostics and advised us to bring it back if the light came back on. They didn't explain there were known issues with the engine that could cripple the vehicle. An initial fix could have cost around $1000, assuming $530 for the part and $470 for labor. On 7/30/21, we paid them $4100 to repair it after the light came back on. They had to keep it a week after they called us to say it was fixed because it was making a weird noise.
Within nine months (05/28/22), the oil power drive failed while driving 75mph on the interstate which resulted in an immediately seized engine. This was ALSO a known [to them] problem. The car is now a total loss.
The service advisor told me we had missed the end of May 2022 cutoff for the class action suit. We called them on May 28. Our call was not returned. I had to keep calling them to get a live person.
When I mentioned this was a known issue with this model, the service advisor said, "it would be a disservice to the dealership if I told every 2013 X-3 driver in Little Rock about this."
On July 06, I called and spoke to Jack who said he would inform Dylan and his boss that I expected a return phone call. Nothing yet.
Subsequent phone calls have not been returned.
We finally just gave up, took the loss and bought another car after a month of trying.
